The food is awesome! Especially the loaded baked potato soup. The prices are a bit high but doable on occasion.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch during a work day and were pleasantly surprised by how good this place is. He had the ham and cheese panini and I had a cup of rosemary chicken and dumplings soup and a small spinach salad. They were all delicious, especially the panini. The chicken and dumpling soup was different than what I was expecting. It had more the consistency of a soup with a broth base, but it was thicker than just a broth. It was perfect for the cold snowy day we had been out working in. Also, they have organic hot tea which is a big plus for me. If I am ever back in this area, I would love to come back and eat here.

We were passing through Rochester, checked Yelp and decided to try Jarretys based on Yelp reviews. completely wonderful surprise. The food was phenomenal, the coffee and tea perfect and the service spectacular. It was a busy Friday night with a neat mix of folks dining at various tables. We loved their baked potato soup and the variety of sandwiches, panninis, salads and breads available. We highly recommend Jarrety's Place. It is worth the short drive off US 31 to downtown Rochester.

I have been driving passed Rochester for years and I am upset I just now found this place! Only about 2 miles out of the way it's a cute coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. About 15 minutes before we got there we ordered our food to go and it was ready when we got there... With all the fixings:). The young lady who answered the phone was very helpful since I didn't have a menu in front of me. My favorite hing I ordered was the chicken fajita panini (had a little kick to it, which was awesome). Definitely stopping by this spot again! Oh and plus there was great music on and a baby changing table in the ladies restroom!

Always a favorite of mine when I am in Rochester!! A cute little spot in downtown... Their coffee drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, and their food is great! My favorite is the cactus chili.

Love me a small town sandwich shop, this place was no different. Great service, good diverse menu, good vegetarian options... Coffee bar. Great stop downtown.

Went here for lunch today because we were in town and looked to Yelp to assist us in finding a place to eat. This location has several options on the menu. For those of you familiar with Panera, the restaurant features many offerings that would be considered as comparable, but perhaps offers even more menu choices than that chain. The variety of choices is nice, but can be a bit overwhelming. The main dinning area was full, so our party of five was seated in the meeting room. The meeting room looks as though it might be going through some sort of a transition as it acts as a storage area and has peeling/peeled wallpaper in several places (so much that major portions of the wall are exposed). It took a bit for our waitress to arrive but once she did, our service was okay. The waitress stated she has only been there for three months and needed to ask the kitchen a few times on some of our menu questions. When asked to make some menu recommendations, she said she was unable since she had not tried some of the things and only worked there for a short amount of time. Perhaps some additional training may be warranted? Our table ordered a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads as well as desserts. The food was pretty good, with nothing terrible to say, nor anything outstanding. Most at our table opted for this location's version of "you pick 2" (like Panera). I went for a sandwich and salad. My salad was a bit better than my turkey sandwhich. The salad came with a tangy house vinaigrette dressing that was pretty good. The sandwich wasn't terrible, but it seemed as though the potato chips (most likely from a bag) that covered my plate, were presented to be the star because of the overwhelming number of them on my plate (like I said... They were potato chips likely from a bag... Not homemade from what I could tell - so nothing particularly special). The carrot cake was worth mentioning. Pretty good, moist cake, with cream cheese frosting. Others opted for chocolate cakes and other desserts which all seemed fine. If in Rochester again, I might swing by and grab a coffee and another piece of carrot cake. This location is definitely worth trying if you have not been, but may lack a wow factor in some areas.

Stopped after golf for a late lunch using advice from Yelp. Great selection, excellent food. Try the Big Train frozen drinks.

First time, passing thru area, saw good yelp reviews. Cute place, many many menu options, dinner time on Thursday. ...they even have a separate burger menu tonight. I had the potato soup, it was good mostly i think because of the fresh green onions on top with bacon (could be much better with freshly grated cheese on top instead of the bagged cheddar) the actual soup i was indifferent to. The burger was more done than my preference but they didn't ask for cook temp, was a perfect medium tho. Great tasting beef, good char, great bacon on top, very good crumbles of blue...not hiding behind toppings or condiments. ...very good overall, much better than any hardees/steaknshake/5guys, and most any burger pub, or home grilled/made burger but not the best ever had. Service was good, best i could tell there was one waitress (Mariah) for all tables and she appeared to be busing all the tables too....all with an effortless glide and a smile. Just wish the table of four plus a baby that had dinner and dessert would have tipped her more than 2bucks! Who doesn't love a cute waitress that excels in her role too!? $15 for the burger, coke and a bowl of soup (like Arby's $ peeps)

Was in Rochester for a wedding and was looking for a quick lunch before getting ready and Jarrety's hit the spot. My husband loved his roast beef sandwich and my salad was fresh with just the right amount of toppings. Our dining companions enjoyed the baked potato soup on the cold, rainy Saturday! A word of warning, the half-size taco salad is huge, but a GREAT deal for anyone who wants a big salad at a really reasonable price! The servers were friendly and the whole place had just a great homey atmosphere. I would stop by for sure if we were ever in Rochester again!

The loaded baked potato soup is wonderful, especially on a cold day. Their Beefy Mushroom Panini is my favorite sandwich for lunch and their Grilled Breakfast Burrito helps a lot when I'm home sick for breakfast tacos from Austin. My only complaint is that their hours are a little weird for dinner time - some days they're only open to 4, some to 8 and one to 9 (Friday). Still, it's worth trying to remember as they have some of the best (and freshest) food in town.

Good place for food and coffee. I took my laptop in and got some work done at the same time. Comfy couches to sit on. Super friendly waitresses.

Surprisingly good for little Rochester, Indiana. Would do very well in a larger city. Soups were delicious. Panini and Caprese salad were excellent. Chicken salad sandwich was very good but perhaps the croissant was too big or the portion of chicken salad was a bit meager. Busy little place - but the service was very good.
