We have been searching for two years to find a breakfast home since moving to Indiana. Who knew that 15 minutes from our house would host the best breakfast I have had in 20 years. If you fail to try the corn beef hash then please just stay home. Nothing is better than homemade corn beef hash and they have even done better than my grandmas best attempt at corn beef hash. It is difficult to impress my father in law with a place for breakfast. Today I have done that and probably just received approval for marrying his daughter 12 years ago. I will be a eating here on a regular basis moving forward. Thanks for being close to our home!

By far the best tenderloin I've ever had. (Highly recommend ) The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant was very clean and our server Jamie was prompt and very friendly. The prices were also very budget friendly. If you enjoy a good Tenderloin you don't want to miss out on Anita's.

Excellent breakfast food!! Homemade corned beef hash was delicious, as was everything else. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for great, traditional diner food, you should come to Anita's Kitchen! I will definitely be back.

Locally owned diner on Water Street off the pike...occupies the former Daddy-O's "Italian" place. The food is honestly just a 3-3.5 star affair for me. Don't get me wrong...it's tasty and filling and the place was jam packed with locals on a Saturday But it isn't anything much different than what you would be expecting foodwise. Think Waffle House/Perkins/Bob Evans but local. What brings this up a star is the exceptional service...absolutely top notch! Quick to ask if we needed anything, refills, very friendly, etc. Order fulfillment was right on the money for our party of seven, etc. The plates/cups/silverware essentially are all mismatched, probably a cost savings measure but a neat touch. And the overall cost was CHEAP. As in great value cheap. You just don't see these numbers on the menu very often. Another reviewer mentioned use of some canned ingredients...I would concur. A bit more time in the kitchen here would be good. The pancakes are very large and a standout...1 pancake really is plenty if supplemented with eggs, etc. There are a lot of good things happening here...I would like to see a bit more attention to detail on some ingredients but we will definitely be making this a stop on the breakfast circuit.

We're breakfast people. We seek out everything from the oldest diners to the new and the hip early morning eats. We live about 15 minutes from Pendleton and have heard about this place for a while. We decided to check it out recently. My husband ordered typical "breakfast fare" with a few eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. He enjoyed it and thought it was a bit more upscale than a lot of diners you'll go to around this area. It is also clean on the inside, which I find incredibly appealing. I had corned beef hash. I'll warn you now, it is one of my favorite foods of all time. That being said, I realize that I'm ordering corned beef hash in small town USA and that I'm not in a big city. It was definitely a delish meal! I enjoyed it, the eggs were cooked perfectly to order, and it tasted fresh and made to order, for sure. My complaint about it would be that it wasn't the most traditional hash, and that there was very little potato, and very little in the way of veggies (I enjoy a hearty hash with lots of peppers and onions). It was still really good and I'm glad to even have a "hash option" locally. The coffee was very traditional diner coffee, and I like that. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was great considering we were there early morning on a weekend day, which is very busy for them. We never felt looked over and I never had cold coffee, which is a good judge of service to me. We'll be back again soon!

Great service, friendly welcoming staff and owner. We had two days of breakfast with 12+ people during busy times and they didn't miss a beat.

Be hungry as the Tenderloins are homemade heaven. So huge you may need to take 1/2 home. Friendly, clean, and hometown greatness right here! Anita's crew is the best around these parts! Service with a smile.

Full disclosure. This place is owned by my wife's sister. If that makes you think it influenced by review, so be it. Antia's Kitchen is a nice family owned restaurant in Pendleton. It has the typical diner fare and we stopped in for breakfast. My wife and I each had the Big Al breakfast, two eggs, meat, potatoes, toast, and a half order of biscuits and gravy for about 8 bucks. Not a bad deal. The food was good. I thought the gravy could use a little more seasoning but a few dashes of hot sauce made it more to my liking. The waitresses were friendly and they did a nice job of keeping my cup of coffee filled. If you are in town and need a big meal and a reasonable price, try Anita's.

Great service, awesome coffee, and the biggest pancakes I've ever had! Cheap prices for quality food. The atmosphere is nice, like a cute old fashioned diner. This is my new breakfast place.

Average diner food. Stopped here while passing through based on rave reviews on Yelp. Not worth the trip off the freeway. Obviously canned gravy, boxed mashed potatoes, canned mushrooms in omelet no seasoning in anything. Breaded tenderloin was pretty good. Hash browns and stuffed pepper soup were good. Seems like a place where food quality varies a great deal. It was low priced so that helped make up for food being so-so. And server was friendly.

Without a doubt, one of the most wonderful dining experiences I've had in a long time! My server, Donavon, was absolutely delightful. She was informative and very pleasant. I had a cheese burger that was cooked to perfection! Not greasy or over cooked - just right. The banana cheesecake was wonderful as well. Full of flavor and a large serving. I am in the Pendleton area several times a year, and Anita's Kitchen will definitely be on my "return" list!

Worth pulling off the interstate!!!! My dad and I stopped by on our way to Indy. Anita's had great service, good coffee and amazing food. We had the tenderloin and were not disappointed. My dad got Big Al's breakfast with the smoke sausage and a pancake. It was an insane amount of food and we ate it all!! Such a great mom and pop place with small town charm. We are already talking about a return trip. Totally worth the drive.

Every time I have eaten at Anitas I go away wondering why I don't eat there more often. The food is delicious. The service is great. Carry out items are also prepared with care and at a quick turnaround. Great all around experience each time. My personal favorite is the pork sandwich. Even without the bbq sauce (which typically comes on the sandwich or on the side) the pulled pork is the best sandwich I've ever had!

We decided to give this new restaurant in Pendleton a try...what a great find! The hand breaded tenderloin practically covered the plate and were not talking about a beat thin piece of meat. It was thick and juicy and the side of seasoned fries were a great compliment to the meal. I had "Al's Big Breakfast" which included 2 eggs, choice of breakfast meat, hash browns, toast and a 1/2 order of biscuits an gravy. . . Hot and tasty! If you are in the area, I would highly recommend that you stop in and give Anita's a try. You'll become a fan!

WOW! We a hand pounded, hand breaded tenderloin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!! A cute little spot in Pendleton Indiana. Breakfast and lunch spot!!! This is a new business that opened 2/1/14. Since that time, they have been crazy busy, but make sure to stop by- the food is home made, original combinations of things like a 4 cheese grilled cheese with goat cheese, and others with a side of bacon "jam"!! WOW that was amazing! The staff is fun, outgoing, funny and a lot of them are family! The owners, Anita and Lennie Stewart have had a dream of their own spot for a long time, and this little dream is well worth the visit! Anita has worked in the business since she was a shy 17 year old,. Both of her daughters work with her, not sure if her son has joined the team yet- but he's in the picture! Lennie makes a great host and all around "go get it guy". Overall, the food is wonderful, the prices are perfect, and the family and their extended family of staff is the most gracious and fun staff I have encountered for a long time! Anita is proving to be just as awesome as her dad the art of great customer service, great food, and a family like atmosphere!
