As far as Ice Cream in Nashville goes, this is the only place I have checked out so I can't really compare to anything else. It was certainly a good treat on a nice spring day and there wasn't even a line to contend with! I would consider myself an ice cream connoisseur though, and the ice cream here just didn't blow me out of the water. Overall I enjoyed it. The two flavors and the waffle cone I ordered were tasty and satisfying and the service was excellent. If I am ever in Nashville again I would probably come back. If you are in Nashville you should probably check it out!
Great place tucked off the beaten path. They have lots of flavors and everything is made there which gives it excellent flavor. Today, I got a caramel apple sundae. It was delicious and included a fresh sliced apple. A definite must visit anytime you're in Nashville.
The ABSOLUTE BEST place to get ice cream in Nashville is here! This is a traditional stop for my family and I to get our desert after we've walked store to store for awhile! I've tried many of the flavors they've had but one of my favs to get is their peppermint candy and add some hot fudge on it, makes your mouth water doesn't it?!?! If you haven't tried this ice cream parlor out I highly recommend that you do cause like I said before they ARE the best in Nashville!

Reviews:
I love this place! I always look forward to a relaxing weekend away at Salt Creek. Nashville is in Brown County which is BEAUTIFUL - especially in the fall. If you go there in the fall then book ahead. We like to go down to Salt Creek and rent a condo- yes . . condos! They have kitchens, washers and dryers, etc. All the condos are pretty new construction and very nicely decorated. They have patios or balconies that overlook the golf course. It's so peaceful and relaxing. They also have a great pool which makes it a fun family place. The restaurant - The Brown Co. Steak and Seafood Company- is AMAZING. They have awesome steaks and I've had their lunch salads. You can tell that they definitely cater to the Bloomington crowd- their food is way above "par". They have a full bar- watch out, the bloody marys will get ya. They are spicy. Also they have a casual bar/ grill downstairs by the pro shop called The 19th Hole. It's more like a sports bar where you can grab a sandwich. At night, there's no need to go into "town"- the 19th Hole is a hot spot- they have poker tournaments and karaoke BABY!! Hah. We've had a lot of fun there. I don't even golf and we go down to Nashville just to get away at Salt Creek. I can't recommend it highly enough. Make sure to book early if you want to stay there or eat there.
I can only speak for the resort, not the course. Stayed in winter, with a frozen parking lot. Not salted. Watched a vehicle slide down the ice lot and slightly missed another car. Our bed was hard as a rock. Kind of amusing, as we had a friend stay and tell the story , as she ran to fall and bounce on the bed. Yet she hit a flat hard surface, like plywood. Laughing about it, once we arrived to our room, our bed was seriously hard. There was no bounce. Laughing at who was taking the sofa, we did like our view of the course, and the hospitality of the staff was wonderful. But they could seriously invest in some matresses.
Good food and good service. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would return again. Great Tenderloins and burgers.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. The atmosphere is great, but what keeps me coming back is the food. How best to put this...? I LOVE IT! While my family loves their burgers and pulled pork nachos, I actually don't eat red meat, but I still find plenty to enjoy here. Warning: their kicked-up cole slaw is ADDICTIVE! I CRAVE it! However, if you don't like spicy food, you might want to pass on the cole slaw. It is seasoned with cayenne pepper. Some days it has a slight tingle, and other days it is on fire, but it is ALWAYS delicious! Some of my other favorites include: *Black Bean Burgers: They are on the appetizer menu because they're mini burgers, but I love to order these as my meal. *Spinach-Artichoke Dip: It is full of large chunks of artichoke, and it's delicious! *Vegetarian Nachos: While many of my friends and family LOVE the pulled pork nachos, I enjoy their veggie version. They are totally different from other nachos. The toppings include corn, black beans, cheese, bbq sauce, and a drizzle of a creamy ranch-like sauce. It's AMAZING! *Chicken wings: These are my dad's favorite, and I will admit that when I eat poultry, these are awesome. They grill them instead of frying them (like most places). You can choose from buffalo, bbq, or spicy teriyaki sauces. They are all good, and you can even eat them plain without sauce and they're delicious! *Portabello sandwich: I think this sandwich is amazing. It's a huge portabello mushroom cap grilled then topped with mozzarella, carmelized onions and and avocado spread (similar to guacamole). My dad is a huge meat-eater, and even he admits to loving this sandwich. This sandwich can get messy, but it's worth it. *Pizzas: Their pizzas are tasty. My favorite is their spinach-artichoke pizza. AWESOME! Lastly, if you get a salad, I highly recommend their bleu cheese dressing. They make it there! It's AMAZING! I'm probably forgetting something, but I hope this gives you enough helpful info. By the way, their seasoning can sometimes lean toward the spicy side (esp. in their soups). However, even if you do not like spicy food, there are options for you here. My dad can't handle anything spicy, but he loves this place, too. If you are sensitive to spicy food, ASK YOUR SERVER. They know what is spicy and what isn't. They can guide you toward the non-spicy items or they can ask the chef to tone down some of the items for you. Give this place a chance. It's excellent food!
Great pizza, love the Busted Knuckle beer. Very friendly place and great waitstaff. Very small, but very nice place. They will let you taste the beer before ordering.
This place was pretty neat! I liked the decor a lot, it's log cabiny. Food is very good, you really can't go wrong with any dish. My friend and I had pulled pork nachos appetizer (great!) and veg. sandwiches (mushroom and black bean). Also they make their own root beer which was great. They also let you taste their beers before you decide (if you want them), I recommend this, because all the beers are very unique tasting. We couldn't figure why they didn't have fries with sandwiches (chips or slaw), but the substitute mixed salad was great. Place is somewhat small, so you come at a peak hour with more than two people, you may have to have hope you find a seat.

Pizza is pizza, right? WRONG! Everyone can do pizza but few places actually take it a step further to stand out from the general masses. One day while visiting the quant shops of Nashville before heading back to Indy I was checking out reviews on Yelp to find a good place to eat. What's fun is I typically only read the negative reviews when a place is rated 4 stars or better just to get a full idea. Well I wasn't convinced this was the place to eat, BUT the reviews seemed good and I can always go for pizza. When we arrived we were seated quickly and due to the humidity we asked to sit inside. Its a very rustic feel in there with tables and chairs that appear to have been carved out back from a tree. Its neat...and different so though it isn't my style I liked it. THEN the only complaint that I have is how long we waited for someone to come to our table. They were not busy, a total of maybe 4 tables were being used and I saw more than enough staff walking around. But they all ignored us. Just as I was about to say lets go somewhere else someone finally came by and asked if we had been helped. When we responded with a huge no she left and got someone to take care of us. By this point we pretty much knew what we wanted to eat as we had so much time to look over the menu. I went with the BBQ pizza and I am pretty sure my other half had some loaded meat pizza of some sort. Anyway, after we ordered that I then wanted to add the cheese bread appetizer to the mix. I flagged down our server and asked if I could add that. She said yes, but that it would probably end up coming out all at once. I said that was fine. A short while later our food arrived. The cheese bread was to die for. It was just loaded with 5 different types of cheeses. I could totally eat a whole one all by myself if someone would let me. As for my BBQ pizza, that too was to die for. It was so full of flavor I was very surprised. These people understood what it took to make an excellent pizza. I was so happy that I wanted to cry when I was so full but didn't want to stop eating. All of the toppings worked with each other to create an orgy of flavor in my mouth. It was for sure pizza heaven. Once we had a server she did a great job, apologized for the longer than usual wait and really took care of us. She was upbeat and had a personality which was nice. She made up for the long wait we had at the very beginning. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville, IN. The service is a little shaky but the food is worth it.
Food = 4 Price = 4 Experience = 4 Great beer selection... fun place too.
Awesome experience, the service was stellar and the waiter is knowledgeable and friendly. The food was surprisingly tasty. I would suggest the hot wings.

Hester House Inn

Nashville, 47448
Reviews:
An 1850's judge's house. The room and the wonderful four poster bed were so cozy and beautiful. We stayed for three wonderful nights for -- next to nothing, it was so cheap. The woman who owns the place (we only spoke on the phone -- there's one in the hallway, and local calls are free) is a bona fide character. Breakfast only consists of muffins, apples and bananas, so we opted to head out of town to Brownie's a few mile north in Bean Blossom -- because, while people in Nashville are genuinely nice and extremely helpful, the businesses in the downtown district are grotesquely cutesy, and it didn't seem like we were going to get any good food there. I truly look forward to staying at Hester House again, not because there's much I want to do in Nashville itself, but because it's a wonderful place to come home to after exploring the wonders of Brown County State Park and the wondrous rolling hills beyond.

EXCELLENT! We were looking online for a place for coffee and this came up so we gave it a try So worth it. The owner was there answering all of our questions, telling us to take our time deciding, and made sure to let us know EVERYTHING is good there. :) Great sense of humor. I had the ham, egg and cheese croissant...DELICIOUS. My kids both had the biscuits and gravy...new record set for fastest consumption. My husband had a bagel sandwich...great. And my mom had a waffle and bacon. The food was all great. He came by the table to check on us, and explained how the coffee refill system worked. We also bought coffee beans to take home to brew. Large selection to choose from, and a small selection of loose teas. There is also a card he gives you so every time you get a pound or 1/2 pound bag you can get a signature to get a free one. No expiration date. He also told us how we can order online if we absolutely love the coffee flavor and don't want to wait until our next visit. Great food, great coffee, great service! We look forward to our next trip to southern Indiana.
A cute little town like Nashville needs a great little coffee shop. This isn't it. Nice location, decent decor ... but bland coffee which only comes with fake cream. Yech! :-(
Cute place, I had the Oregon chai which was nice. Most people seemed to fixate on the hot chocolate which I hope to try in the future. They're super generous with the whipped cream if you get it! There is such charm to the place, nice people and good service. I love places like this.

I've been to the Hobnob on a few occasions. My wife likes the place more than I do. I've never had a bad meal here but I've never been blown away by the food either. The place hasn't been updated in a while and the there isn't much that can be done with the layout. I'm just going to keep trying different menu items till I have that great meal.
I went to Hobnob Corner because there was a power outage at the lodge I stayed at while on a hiking trip in Brown County. No lodge breakfast buffet able to be made so out to town we went. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as some over easy eggs and bacon were concerned. Bacon was crisp, eggs were fine. One thing that was a little different was the onion dill toast. It was really good and they bake it in the shop! Friendly service and reasonable prices from what I remember. Good coffee as well.
Had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Both had the Pot Roast Sandwiches and steak fries. Service was friendly and prompt. Sandwiches good, meal size good. No complaints whatsoever. We'll be back. Amost forgot, They also has baked goods at the cash register, The cookies were good, but pricy at $2 each.

This is a Bobby Knight and IU shrine. Great memorabilia. You must order the Grilled Cheese with Cheez Wiz. Oddly enough, it's the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever eaten.
Best breakfast in Nashville! A must see for any basketball fan. Owners take great care to satisfy customers. Can't wait to come back!
Walking down to the basement leveled restaurant, you will find IU decor and collection of any and everything. I have went to this place for years . Offers simple sandwich selections. Service always consistently great.

The bar is very nice here. It is a pleasant mix of locals and tourists. Anything you order will be a huge serving! The wait staff is very friendly and you can almost always find a seat. Try the house sangria with any of the dinner specials.
Sorry to say average at best. Service was nothing to brag about but at least the gal was friendly. We tried the duck wings and the flavor was good but they were pretty dry. Loaded fries were nothing special, although it was a lot of food.
Good food, good service and good drinks but super disappointed there wasn't a changing station in the women's bathroom. Family friendly place but was difficult with a toddler changing a diaper! :-(

McDonald’s

Reviews:
I normally wouldn't write a review for McDonald's but this location doesn't deserve a one star rating. They've always been very nice to us. And we order huge amounts of food when we go. This location is always packed. There isn't another fast food place anywhere near there. As a result everyone that comes from the state park looking for fast food comes here. So be prepared for that when you go. And even considering all of that we still have good experiences.
This is the worst Mickey D's :(....I never thought that could happen, but a few months ago, drove in for breakfast, and the manager was very rude, and wouldnt fix my order. Thought I was just trying to get a free breakfast, so they gave me a egg in a box to substitute for making me a new McGriddle the way its supposed to be! didnt even have syrup on it. Yucky terrible.
