Seriously , okAy any business that is only open 3 hours a day has to have a darn good reason right ??!! Their food is so good that it makes total sense!!I feel like I found a piece of treasure when I found this place. I took my grandmother out to lunch and decided to try Two Johnnys. We both instantly agreed that we would frequent this place again and bring others that we know . My grandmother had the Cuban sandwich which was awesome and I had the olive burger which is a special meaning it's not served everyday ..it was seriously the best burger I've ever had . I like the fact that their Facebook shows their daily specials so you can have an idea of what you might be able to order . It's small and cozy with great staff . They're only open 11 am until 2pm...go try the food , you won't be disappointed !! :-)

Ate here for the first time. Delicious food! The best tomato soup I've ever eaten..not too pricey and great, friendly service! I only wish they were open more than just for lunch on weekdays because I can't get here as often as I would like to! Convenient location right downtown and I had no trouble finding parking! I will definitely be back!

Your staff is incredibly rude and the food sub par at best. Lettuce was from a bag and chicken was terrible. Will not recommend.

Very nice cafe, sandwiches had some interesting takes and were absolutely fantastic. Also had a wide assortment of salads, of which I tried the Thai chicken salad which had perfectly prepared chicken. I liked the interior and the tables. Waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed or at least in a very big rush to do everything. As there was one of her and it was a full house. Other than that it was a great experience!

Can't believe I've never Yelped Two Johnny's! I have been enjoying this gem of a restaurant for a few years now. Anson and Matt have it goin' on! From the famous Olive Burger to their ASTOUNDING Joe's Cuban! I must say, the Joe's Cuban is one you'll never forget. It is hands down, the best cuban sandwich around ... I've savored the cuban's at Tata Cuban in Indy, and I can attest that Two Johnny's has it beat by far! My other fav ... The Spinach Artichoke Melt panini. Wow is that a great sandwich for those who prefer a meatless fulfillment at lunch. Yum!! Another vegetarian delight is the Two Johnny's Black Bean Burger. Holy cow. It's a signature Johnny burger, topped off with chipolte sauce, you'll forget it didn't originate on four legs. ;) Once you've licked your plate clean from your main course, leave room for their homemade deserts! Pies are their specialty .... boy are they! As if that all isn't enough ... Tow Johnny's takes to the streets on Friday nights just down the sidewalk at The Patio venue of The Fickle Peach's summer music concerts. New to the list of many options, is the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Taco's topped with mango salsa! You'll never be the same after sinking your teeth into this explosion of flavor and heat. Weekly specials are announced each day or the night before for their lunch time surge. Chicken and Noodles, Meatloaf, and more ... ALL homemade the way your grandma or mama used to do it, and don't procrastinate because folks know that once they run out, that's it! A fantastic little restaurant and bar full of class and homemade meals you won't soon forget. Relax in one of the historic buildings downtown Muncie, enjoy friends and food at Two Johnny's ... you'll definitely be back once you give it a try the first time.

One star for being an individually and privately owned restaurant trying to make a go of it in downtown Muncie. Three stars for the consistently good food you're going to find there. Two Johnny's is probably most famous for the Olive Burger and deservedly so. So therefore, I had to try it. It's delicious! Now before all you who dislike olives pile on, the olives that are mixed throughout the burger (there is one as a garnish on a toothpick on top of the bun too) are not overpowering but add a nice different flavor to an otherwise typical burger. Topped with bacon and a tomato, this mega burger is a meal in itself. I also ordered a cup of their homemade broccoli cheese soup. I found it very tasty and just the right amount to compliment the sandwich. My dinner partners, who have light appetites, ordered the Reuben sandwich and split it and one had the broccoli soup while the other sampled the french onion. Thumbs up from both on their order as well. The only negative I would give it - and I can't really blame them - are the hours. They are only open 11:00 to 2:00 week days and also 5:00 - 9:00PM on Friday nights. The food and atmosphere are simply too good to only be open those hours but maybe if the good people of Muncie set aside the abundance of chain eateries that clutter the city and come here instead, the hours could expand. As for the prices, the three of us ate for under $25. My olive burger was on their special board that day for $5.99 (normally $7.99). It was refreshing to see something on "special" actually be less costly than normal. My experience at restaurants around Chicago is that "special" means something off the menu and usually more expensive. You can't beat the prices here! I highly recommend Two Johnny's if your travels ever take you to Muncie Indiana.

Love this place. I am glad I live downtown and get to go often. Nothing makes me happier than having the tomato soup and grilled cheese here on a rainy day. I have heard wonderful things about the Olive Burger, but haven't tried it yet. I have loved everything I've ordered here and I have never been disappointed. It's in a beautiful old building, the staff is friendly and quick. Beats every chain restaurant any day.

I work downtown and I'm always a fan of the downtown restaurants. Two johnny's is a cool little sandwich shop that's not over zealous. The food was decent. We came in a large group and they were more than happy to take us with little to no warning. The room felt cozy and lots of ambient light which I really enjoyed for a little restaurant like this. Good little restaurant that people should add to their lunch rotation.

Great food, solid vibe, friendly service! Back in town for graduation I was delighted to find a new restaurant has opened downtown a few doors away from the Fickle Peach. Everything from the lighting/decor to the food and beer/wine selection all the way down to the tunes (Two Johnny's spins vinyl and has a bitchin' selection to boot (the bartender was even kind enough to let me make a request or two) was top notch. I started with the stuffed mushrooms (major flavor) as an app and then moved to Joe's Cuban. I have never had a Cuban Sandwich as bold and flavorful as Two Johnny's rendition. I closed it off with the lemon cake with fresh berries which sent me out the door with the post dining sweet tooth satisfied. All the while, I was torn choosing between some of my favorite Mid Western micro brews (Upland and Goose Island) and that's right...Strohs. Living on the west coast now, you can't even get a Strohs. I highly recommend you check the place out. If you like independent businesses that make their food out of quality, fresh ingredients, Two Johnny's is as good as it gets in Muncie.

My boyfriend and I found ourselves starving after drinking a couple brews at the Fickle Peach, but didn't feel like getting involved in the traffic mess over on McGalliard for a wait at yet another chain restaurant on a Friday night. We'd noticed Two Johnny's had come into the Rose Court building on the corner of that block on our way into the Peach and decided to support local business and give it a try. It was okay. The chop salad I got was very good and very substantial - I'm glad I ordered the small size! The bleu cheese vinagrette dressing was interesting. The stuffed mushrooms were good, although they came out after our meal due to a mix-up on the waitress' part. The problem I had was that most of the food was of the lunch variety - salads and sandwiches. We were kind of in the mood for something a little more hearty. They did have Spicy Chicken Linguine on the menu board as a dinner special, but ran out of it right after we arrived. Perhaps that was for the best - the chicken on the pasta salad my boyfriend ordered was extremely dry and seemed like it'd been sitting out for a while. If I worked in downtown Muncie, I'd be frequenting this place for lunch. For dinner, however, I don't think it quite cuts it. I guess we'll brave the McGalliard traffic next time.

This is a fabulous little place. We went for lunch around 12 and the food was absolutely delicious. My friend had a tomato on his sandwich and said it was the best, freshest and most delicious tomato he had ever had. The food tasted fresh and nothing like anything I've tasted. It was decently priced.The service was good and the waiter was polite. It's a quieter atmosphere; the dress is casual.

The food always looks good at other people's tables, but so far I haven't stopped in for a meal. Gotta try that sometime. I like to hit Two Johnny's for coffee & dessert. The location is convenient (big parking lot behind) and the building/dining space is cool. Sometimes there's live music but nothing big and loud. Always friendly and never crowded, it's nice to have a cozy, relaxing spot downtown to stop in for a quick slice of pie after a movie or outing. And if we're hungry, there's always that handy menu. :)

Damnit, beaten on this one because I wanted to go back for a second helping - story of my life. Many of these cats wandered down the street from White River Landing where they ran the show, but don't hold it against 'em. The space itself is open, well lit with plenty of natural light, and comfortable. I had the Cuban and potato salad and enjoyed the meal well enough. No one else does a Cuban in town (save for Scotty's monstrocity), and that alone makes it a dece sandwich. That said, the bread was NOT toasted and the mustard "sauce" seemed weird, but the pork was delicious. Use the panini machine, guys! The potato salad was ok, but the eggs were boiled too long, and thus rubbery. The lunch offerings are on the short side, and I never need to pay $7 for a bagel sandwich, but I've heard wonderful things about the dinner options, which are available Thurs Fri and Sat nights. I'll be on the look out for jerk tacos. When I was in, the real deal was a $3 tall can of PBR. That's ok to have with lunch if you have fewer than, say, five? I wish these fellas luck.

My husband and I went to Two Johnny's starving after a bad experience at Crawdaddy's. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! Thank goodness we stopped here to get some real food. Two Johnny's has a simple single page menu and from the exterior seems like an upscale place- but it isn't- this is a T-shirt and Jeans place. I ordered the Cuban and it was dynomite! Pulled pork, deli thin ham, deli pickles with mustard on a nice crispy french loaf- yummmm! The side choices are kettle chips, pasta salad and potato salad- I got the pasta salad and it was OK, it has little bits of onion in it and I am not an onion fan. But man, the sandwich was wonderful! It was priced around $7. My husband ordered the special of the night, the Olive Burger- which is a hamburger patty with olives in it, topped with bacon, bleu cheese and the trimmings. After the first bite he was in love! He said it was one of the best burgers he has had in a long time. I only gave the place 4 stars because of the ambiance. They need to do some remodeling. The floors are old and the tables and chairs are not comfortable. If they remodeled, this place could be a hot spot in Muncie because the food is for sure top notch. We will be back again!

Just go. Order an Olive Burger before you even look at a menu. Your existing opinion of olives is irrelevant. This is the best burger you can eat in the entire midwest. That's not hyperbole.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Two Johnny's. The wait staff was on point and delightfully friendly. The food was delish. We especially enjoyed our soups and dessert. Overall. the experience was enjoyable and we will definately return. Although there is no one on staff named Johnny, we met a wonderful man named Terry. Two Johnny's....... A must try!!!!!!!!
