Been here at least a dozen times in the last 3 years or so and have never been disappointed. Steaks and burgers are great, awesome, affordable apps (fried dill pickle chips & Italian nachos are great with a good beer), and the service is outstanding. Best steak/burger and beer place in Muncie.

The tenderloin is a must! Excellent service. Might be worth the two hour trip back. Also, I think kitchen cleanliness is reflected by bathroom cleanliness. I am happy to report the restrooms were spotless.

So if you want a steak or chicken dinner in Muncie and don't want to go to a chain this is probably where you want to be. The steaks are always well-seasoned and are a pretty good value. I am also partial to their chicken kabob. The service is always top-notch and the waitresses are friendly. I also appreciate the classic rock on the radio.

Took some friends there because of YELP rating. Had a good dining experience. One had classic burger, it was done just as ordered. I had wings with buffalo sauce and a tower of onion rings. Our other friend ordered a salad. Our waitress was quick to serve us and was very polite and attentive. Got some hot Italian bread to munch on along with our drinks. Beer was cold and the hard stuff was mixed well. Our salad was fresh and tasty with fresh veggies and lots of them. Dressing was just fine. French Fries were good. Couple of "cons"....not bad though. The Buffalo wings could have used a whole bunch more sauce. They were cooked to perfection just stingy with the sauce. The tower of onion rings was a disappointment, breading appeared to be "commercial" (Sysco), not the best I have ever eaten and they were not piping hot when we got them. They were just "okay". I sure would come back here and bring more friends. Saw some steaks being served next to us that looked very good and the guy eating them said it was good.

Went here for dinner on the 4th of July. We had great service and were immediately seated. Our waitress was very friendly, timely, and helpful. There were tons of waiters and waitresses waiting by the kitchen and watching the tables and they gave the impression that they were ready at a moment's notice. The food came out very hot and you could really tell everything had come straight off the grill (I had a burger and my girlfriend had a grilled chicken). The burger was absolutely huge and heaping with toppings. It was delicious. I would get another in a heartbeat (even though I didn't even manage to finish my first one). The restaurant was fairly small inside but I didn't feel crowded. It looked very clean and nice. Price was fair for the amount and quality of the food we received. Loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

Good steaks, better service than at Texas Roadhouse. Steaks seemed larger and it is not as loud. Definitely will return again.

This place was pretty good. I really liked the beer they had on tap that was just called 'Joe's' or something and looked dark but didn't taste very dark. We had about an hour wait but we all got beers so weren't too worried about it. The onion ring tower was a good appetizer to start off with. I had the steak with sweet potato fries. The steak was really good. Not so much the fries. They got our orders wrong. They forgot the mushrooms and onions I wanted on my steak and a couple people got the wrong sides. It was an alright place for Muncie but just so run of the mill.

Good restaraunt. Went by myself and got a meal. It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular but not bad by any means

Excellent food and service. The steaks are the very best in the area. The ribs are tender and fall off the bone. Margaritas are very good as well.

What a great place! My colleagues and I were in Indiana for work and stumbled across this restaurant. Our server Kaithryn was awesome and such a sweetheart. The food was excellent. If I ever return to Muncie I will for sure eat here again. Thank you very much!

I have had the pleasure of dining here several times. Let's go by category: Service: Very friendly. Server checked on us an appropriate amount of time. Manager has come over each time to inquire about our experience. Atmosphere: Small town restaurant feel. Could use more lighting upstairs as it is a bit dark. Plastic plants could use dusting. Food: The best fried pickels i have ever had! Delicious steaks cooked just right! Ribs are very tender and fulfilling. Drinks: Mango berry margaritas. Enough said. Overall, we will be frequenting this establishment often.

Was my 1st time, and "All went well." 3 beers, 2 meals, & 1 appetizer pickles .......$50 before TIP. So, it's good food !! It a level above "CHAIN" eateries, with unique style of prepping foods. Our chicken & steak were very good, as was the breaded & fried pickles. Our service was EXCELLENT!!

Locally fun, fast, reasonably priced and delicious! We'll be back! My lady and I ate here on a Monday (2/25/15) around 6:30p for our first trip to Muncie. It got good reviews on Yelp and she's a fried pickle lover so we were sold. The parking lot was packed so we were worried because we were in a big rush to get to a presentation at BSU. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice, prompt and checked on us frequently. The place was pretty big and didn't look very crowded after all. We got our food really fast and the fried pickles didn't disappoint! I'm a connoisseur of Caesar salads and there's was fantastic! Overall, exactly what we were looking for and we left satisfied.

Is it Amazing? I'm not sure I'd go that far, However, it's very, very good, and a welcome addition to Muncie. The folks are friendly and helpful, and the food is good. My wife had wings, I tried one...AWESOME. Get the wings if you even kinda sorta like wings. These are tops. The atmosphere is nice, and I really like the way it's decorated. The prices are quite reasonable, and it's a real step up from most of what Muncie has to offer. Really, only one thing kept my from giving them a 5. I ordered my burger medium, and it came out VERY done. Everything else was stellar, but that took away from the overall experience. However, we will be back!

This place has the BEST pickle chips in Muncie, hands down. Super busy, probably not somewhere to go for a romantic evening, but it's great for groups! Prices are good, portions are large, food is great, service is quick! We started with pickle chips which came with Ranch or Horseradish dressing. Both are made in house and both are AMAZING! Meals come with a loaf of baked garlic bread. We tasted, but didn't indulge as we aren't bread people, but it was good. I had the ribs with sweet potato fries and broccoli. My girlfriend had the catfish with sweet potato fries and a side salad. The ribs are saucy, but the meat is good. The catfish was bland, but I'm from the South so my opinion could be biased. Overall, it was lightly battered with a good crunch so I couldn't complain. I was very impressed and will definitely be coming back!

Ate here 6/11/15 and had the best steak I've ever had. The rest of the meal was awesome also, also the margaritas.

Probably been here 2 dozen times over the last 5-6 years. I love to patronize locally-ran establishments, and although this one takes a page out of the book of the chain restaurants on McGalliard, it stays original enough to be a place worth going back to time and time again. I don't think I've ever NOT gotten a steak or burger here... both are awesome. Ribeye has got to be the best in town and worth every penny. Dill pickle chips are made in-house and absolutely delicious. Kind of a weird layout inside, and I've waited more than my share for a table on most visits. Service is outstanding and I've never left disappointed.

My husband and I dine here often. Have always receive quality service and food. We especially like their Italian nachos. And of course their steaks. Margaritas are on special on Sundays and kids eat free on Monday.

Our first trip here. We heard how wonderful it was so we decided to try it. Big mistake! The service was poor, the food was cold and tasteless. Never again!

The steaks here are delicious! Surprisingly not that expensive given the quality of the steaks. The burgers are also quite good.

Management and service is superb, this is the kind of the treatment that was standard 50 years ago. If something is wrong they will go above and beyond the make it right. Food is above average for Muncie, stick with non seafood items (I have high standards as I'm a Japanese boy from Hawaii) and you will have a good experience.

I've only been here once but the food was solidly good and the service was excellent. A work colleague and I had dinner at Amazing Joe's, both ordered steak, they were both cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The price was amazing. Salads included crisp, cold produce and sides were served at the correct temperature. All items were served to the correct person without asking.

While the decor is a bit drab, don't let the bland, chain-restaurant appearance deceive you. This place lives up to its name. First- Centennial IPA on tap?- Fuckin' A. Any establishment with Founder's on tap is worth revisiting in my book. The menu was much bigger than I expected. There were a lot of traditional American grill fare and an impressive looking Italian menu, but when I was told that they steaks were good and I saw that the New York Strip was aged- I was sold. It was only $16 and it was one of the best steaks that I have ever had. Tender, juicy, and well seasoned. I definitely wish I lived around the corner from this place.

My favorite menu item is the Southwest Chicken. Nom nom nom. It's clean, the staff is friendly, but it's only open for dinner during the week. I believe they are open for lunch and dinner on the weekends. They can get busy, but I always find it's worth the wait. The bread they serve is so yummy. And my kids love the chicken tenders. My husband always gets a steak and he always loves it. Right now they even have a 'kids eat free' night, which rocks.

Chicken nachos are incredible. More than I could eat. Friendly servers. Quick service. I wish they had call ahead seating.

This place is a nice stop if you're not wanting to visit a large chain restaurant. Has American cuisine and pasta. Good food, and you get lots of it. A normal dinner portion (especially for the pasta selection) could feed a normal person 2-3 times. They have awesome sweet potato fries and pub chips with a great garlic aioli. They have nice pasta dishes and good steaks. Staff is generally friendly, though we've had instances where there is some lack in the common sense department. Overall a nice place to go.

This is a nice change from a traditional national chain. The menu isn't much different, the decor is meh, but the food and service were great! They did overcook one of our steaks (he asked for medium rare but it came well done). The staff quickly resolved the problem! Everything else was good. Plus it's nice to support a more local establishment (although it does have another location in Columbus).

I have visited Amazing Joe's on multiple occasions. Parking is horrific...but that is usually where the bad stops. The menu has good variety. If you are REALLY hungry give the Fuggetaboutit burger a try. The food is pretty good. Service can be up and down.

Muncie doesn't have much in terms of restaurant eating so I wanted to enjoy my experience here. And truth be told, it's not terrible. But there's nothing that stands out about my experience that wanted me to go back. Dinner was average and the dessert was so-so. I will say the waitstaff was polite, which at times can make up for an average meal. I'm a big fan of good service. But I just don't feel like spending money on food that's not great.

Food was ok. I was not impressed with the sweet potato fries, they were not hot and kind of tasteless. The Joey cut strip steak was tasty and prepared as ordered. My husband ordered the ribs which fell off the bone. His side of rice was bland and tasteless and was not presented well. We needed a Table for six but were told those tables were upstairs and we has two handicapped people in our group. We ended up sitting at two back to back booths which was kind of annoying. As stated in other reviews, the atmosphere is blah, but the servers make up for it with their super service.

Meh, I wasn't overly excited by this place. Our server was on it and we had a party of 9 with a 3 year old. The food was nothing exciting, but it wasn't bad either just kind of there. Chain restaurant feel with the same kind of chain food you would find on any other menu. They did have a heart attack special burger: bacon, cheese, fried egg, onion rings, and mozzarella stick. This is your body now shutting down. Not much for the vegetarian or health conscious. I went with the veggie burger and it was pretty good. Although not good enough to make me want a repeat visit. I'm looking for something a little more local, with 50 year old dust on the lamp chains, and a shifty eyed old timer in the corner.

Just spent a Saturday evening with my wife and just graduated from BSU son at Amazing Joe's. Went out on a limb and tried something new....based on Grady's suggestion. Had the swordfish....OH MY...very good! Son had the buffalo chicken sandwich and wife had monterey chicken. All the food was fresh, hot, and delicious! The long island drinks were the best in town! Thanks Marissa! You can't go wrong if you want great food, drinks, and friendly service! Thanks again Amazing Joes!

I sorta wanted to hate this place, especially since they changed their name midstream from Average to Amazing. But I suppose modesty has no place in the highly competitive restaurant world. Walking in, we saw that it was 80's Night. Oh God. But once we were seated, I'd gotten over the pink spandex that seemed de rigueur amongst the waitstaff. I'd heard from various people within the company that the steaks were the real deal, and after dismissing most of the Italian menu, I settled on the T Bone, mid-rare, and my dining companion, the 6 oz Filet, medium. Both were excellent. I'd have the T Bone again in a heartbeat, with just enough fat around the edges for flavor. The salads were solid, as were the potato sides. We were definitely satiated, but our convivial server talked us into the Fried Apple Martini dessert. Served in a martini glass, the whole thing was a bit wobbly and perhaps poorly constructed. Also, the apple dumplings weren't what I'd hoped were holdovers from 909 Grille, but were instead Sysco frozen and fried apple pies that they used to serve at Rally's. It was tasty, but I'd hoped for something made in-house. Other non-critical gripes include warm, not chilled salad plates, low syrup soda, and no mints on the way out. And the beer selection was dismal; throw a hop-head a bone! I'd hoped to have seen the building burn down years ago, but great service and a fantastic steak are premiums in Muncie. Maybe not amazing, but pretty fucking good is my verdict.

Expensive food. Wait staff disappeared after bringing order. Food was ok but nothing special. Not too amazing! I went with my family and would not go again. It's way too expensive to take kids to eat out. We went there to try it out with our two kids. There was a fly in my wife's ice tea (not kidding). When this was pointed out, the waitress acted like it was no big deal and didn't apologize. This was a disappointing place after I'd heard several people recommend it.

Amazing steaks and my service was just as impressive. I would spend twice as much for a comparable meal anywhere else. I am hooked and will be back.

The service was fantastic and the food was superb. That's all you need to know about Amazing Joe's. The only complaint I would have is the lack of parking space. While the lot is fairly large, the restaurant is busy enough that the parking overflows into the surrounding grass. The lack of parking is a testament to their popularity in Muncie.

Food was OK. The bar has slow service and the staff doesn't know how to make a lot of drinks... There really is nothing special about Amazing Joe's. It would be great if their menu included more vegetarian fair.

On a recent trip to Muncie I had the chance to dine at Amazing Joe's with 2 friends. A fairly crowded place on a Friday night, usually a good sign. The beer selection was subpar and I ended up drinking some awful ale that they had on tap. As we were seated our extremely cheery waitress asked us if we had been there before, offered recommendations and chatted us up. We started with their "Famous, Onion Tower". When it arrived I had to laugh aloud. A PVC pipe with a stack of onion rings on it! They included a few standard dipping sauces, and as far as fried battered food went, they were edible. I ordered a Med Rare Ribeye and the Peanut Slaw, which came highly recommended. When the slaw arrived, it again brought on a laugh. Jar coleslaw with a handful of crushed peanuts was about as tasty as you might expect. The steak however, took me by complete surprise. Tender, juicy, seasoned perfectly, I was fairly impressed that this actually came out of the same kitchen as my onion tower or peanut cole slaw. All in all a laid back place to have a beer and a steak with friends. Not bad, but I do not have many restaurants in Muncie to compare it to as of yet.

Changed my rating to 5 stars, have went there a lot more times since then, and they're always good, except for the parking, it's still cramped

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
