One of the best fried chicken places in the area. 100 year old Victorian style mansion turned into a restaurant. The chicken has sometimes been hit or miss, size wise, but always very good old style pan / skillet fried. Sometimes the chicken pieces are very tiny like hot wing size, other times they're normal sized chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy are great, as is the corn, green beans, and rolls. The servers wear old style uniforms and there is outside dining during nice weather. Good place to eat and a decent price as expected for this type of place and food.
Been here a few times, came here for dinner this past Friday evening with the family and always as good as the last few times we've been! I always get my favorite, the fried chicken, you can't go wrong with this choice, very very tasty! They bring a crap load of food to your table, if you leave hungry then you must've just had water?! The green beans are just okay, not my favorite though. The service is always great here, they bring you hot towels and ice cream after your meal! If you have not been here what are you waiting for?!?! I highly recommend you try this place out, just might want to bring a fat wallet cause they are a tad pricey, but well worth it!
I can't say that I've ever had a better dining experience !! Wonderful "CLASS" atmosphere, food, service & reasonable prices. It was a FATHER's day Treat, and I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Seeing the pictures on this site, you'll see that the facility, furniture, table settings, the servers, & the "family style" servings, were GREAT !!!
