I've eaten here several times and have found the food to be good and consistent. The service is prompt and polite with a desire to please. Prices are reasonable and the selection of menu items is also good. The decor is poor and the booths are TERRIBLE. if they would renovate this place would be a top eating destination in Middlebury.

I went on a Saturday afternoon. There wasn't a single customer in the restaurant. I ordered a burrito & beer. The beer was cold and the waitress was nice . My food came out in about 2 minutes. I thought this was odd then realized why, it was cold. I could not understand why since it was the only order in the kitchen. I found a small piece of metal in my burrito, well that's where it started, I found it in my mouth. The waitress was very nice but just blew off my comments about the food being cold and something metal in my food. I would not recommend this place to anyone just for their own safety.

Good service and cold beer. My carne asada tacos could have been much better. The small amount of meat in the tacos was died out and definately not fresh. The place was clean and comfortable but the music was too loud.

My husband and I have been to Margaritas several times and had a positive experience. However, today's visit was a disappointment. The service was okay but, not great. My husband ordered a Grande Burrito and I ordered Carne Asada Tacos. First, the Carne Asada Tacos were 2-3 small pieces of meat wrapped in a flour tortilla. No cheese, lettuce or tomato. The rice was undercooked and served with a tablespoon of beans. The dinner was served warm. My husband specifically asked if he could get his burrito could be served without sour cream and the waiter replied "yes". My husband has allergies to dairy products. The burrito was served warm with sour cream. When we told our waiter, he was less than mildly concerned. They did take 15% off our bill. We won't be back.

The booths are horrible because I could feel the back of the booth push me forward every time the people behind me moved or adjusted themselves. The service was okay I guess. The food was decent but the guacamole did not taste well. The exterior looks really nice but the interior doesn't look so well. Food prices are decent.

I'm visiting the area and had dinner here with my family. I thought the service and the food were great! It's not fully Americanized Mexican which means it's not served in ridiculously huge portions and loaded with cheese, which made it good. The food had no spice, but in this area that's expected. I asked for a side of hot sauce and all was well. This was a pleasant and enjoyable alternative to the Amish style chicken dinners throughout the area. I definitely would recommend this place to others.

Margarita's is a family owned and operated authentic Mexican restaurant. The owner had years if experience with another restaurant group before opening this location. They obviously use quality ingredients and they put out some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. A simple place with great food at a tremendous value.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
