Met family there on Sunday for breakfast. Waited forever to get waited on then waited 35 minutes for our food which was cold. Next time we will drive on in to Crown Point.

I have been here a couple times so far. Positives: You will leave full. The dinners come with both salad and soup, dressings and soups are homemade (garlic dressing is amazing!) And some even come with dessert too, although nothing crazy special. And you will want to eat it all and feel horribly guilty for the indulgence the next day. The food is delicious. The battered fish I had was ok, I needed a lot of lemon, which then made it soggy, but the fish fry was breaded perfectly and stayed crisp with lemon. The chicken noodle, which was creamy, not brothy was awesome. The fried chicken was perfect, breading was light and the chicken was juicy. They had a lamb shank special on Sunday that was just like Greektown. George's will have my business for life!

A great family restaurant. Portions are generous. Food is excellent. I love the bean soup. Breakfast is great. They know how to cook an over easy egg. I eat there as often as I can

We were in Lowell for a business meeting and asked for a recommendation for a casual lunch place. Based on this recommendation we went to George's. Upon arriving I was impressed with the remodeled Denny's decor. There was a nice crowd eating there including a couple of local Sherriffs (their cars were in the parking lot with the engines running) so I thought it couldn't be that bad. Well, I was wrong. It's obvious that everyone was there because the better restaurant down the street does not open until 11:30 and they had someplace to be and couldn't wait. Soups were heavy cream based (Lemon Chicken Rice Soup tasted like PLEDGE and the Cheesy Vegetable was Veg-All in cheese glop). The BLT was soggy cheap bacon with wilted lettuce and hard tomatoes. My tenderloin was a pre-pressed patty that did not taste all that bad but was nothing special. I'm glad that the locals are able to keep George's in business but they should put up a billboard warning travelers that there are better places down the street. I do not say this often but their is a reason for fast food places and this place makes them all look good.

The restaurant was dirty inside and there were no one to greet us until about 7-8 min waiting inside. Then the food came just as if it had been sitting under a warmer to long. My ciabetta roll was soggy.......... Then the next few hours and the next morning was not good ........ I got really sick and George's was the only different thing i had eaten plus it was my first time here. So we wont be going back.....

George's is the place to go for a small town family environment with a menu with lots to choose from and a friendly staff that more then likely knows your name or is one visit away from knowing it. If you are in for breakfast you can't go wrong with a skillet or a homemade cinnamon roll. They are delicious!

Somewhere in between divey and delicious, this local restaurant will satisfy whatever you hunger! George's has an extensive menu (with lots of tasty fried items). Quick service.... saucy, yet friendly waitresses... and "chilled" red wine......, what's not to love? I recommend their skillet breakfasts as a perfect remedy for a Jack Daniels hangover!

A really good "family restaurant" -- meaning they have a very big menu with lots of diverse food. Most everything I've had here has been good. But the prize dish is the lemon rice soup, which they don't have every day. Call ahead to see if it's on the menu if you're going. Never have I had lemon rice soup that is so good. Otherwise, dependable, basic fare.
