When I go to my sons house I go by Flap Jack's and the parking lot is always full of cars. This is a good sign and is something to look into! We have stopped in twice, once for breakfast and the second time for dinner. I'm please to say the food was great both times. To start off with it's freshly made not frozen from a box or a bag!!!! Their soups are home made and you can taste the love that goes into making it. The servings are a good size and quite filling, they feed you they don't fool you!!! Remember to eat well and to live well, and please no chains!

I travel a fair amount around the Midwest and I'm always on the lookout for that mythical small-town diner that serves excellent food with down-home service. Flapjacks was one of those rare finds. I had the jalapeno breakfast skillet special that comes with a side of pancakes. Everything was homemade and delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and the place was very clean. There's a wonderful shaded outdoor seating area, too.

I've stopped in here three times over the past two months (for lunch each time) mainly because of its positive Yelp reviews. I suppose it's nice enough... if you're craving this type of diner experience. The service and food are OK but certainly nothing that special. The employees could be a bit friendlier and perhaps a little more diligent in the dishwashing department.

I was on the way to Turkey Run State Park and found that this is a good place. They had a huge variety of menu for both veg and Non-veg. We all tried different food and everything was really good.

This was a great little roadside discovery we made after an overnight stop in Lebanon, IN. The service is great. Coffee cups stayed more than half-full and the food came promptly. I had Eggs Benedict and my wife had corned beef hash. Both were very good. I'd go back here again in a New York minute.

I've been to the Brownsburg location of flap jacks many times and love it, and since they are one of the few small town Indiana spots ACTUALLY open on a Sunday my girlfriend and I jumped at the chance for a spur of the moment gastric rendezvous at the lebanon loctaion. So with no wait to be seated we looked over the menu In between the drops of water falling on us from the A/C unit above, she settled on and ordered the classic club sandwich. (Ladies always order first guys, Remember this and thank me later ).... Then me being the eternal breakfast fan, I ask for the chicken fried steak and eggs with a side of cheesy grits. And to say that the food was good and what we were looking for would not be a lie. HOWEVER, with that being said, there was a definite need in seasoning throughout the whole meal. The gravy lacked both salt and pepper, served aside plain eggs, slightly burnt hash browns and a bowl of grits which I didn't eat more than 3 bites of because, well they really had no flavor at all and tasted like they came straight the same box that my grandma's been keeping in her pantry for the last three years. And judging by the wise and long lived crowd I guess the lack of salt and other seasonings is to be expected. I've never understood why restaurants that cater to a more seasoned crowd lacks actual seasoning! Lol, but Anyways. The real kicker to the whole meal was the lack of service, my ultimate pet peeve. My girlfriend absolutely hates lettuce, albeit weird I know, she can't stand it and stated that she wants NO lettuce on her club. Now, I know what your thinking, "no" sounds an awful lot like extra cause that's exactly what came out. Bless her heart for being the ever polite class act deciding against my advice, she didn't send it back and picked it off anyways which.... allowed her to recreate the jungle island of Jurasic park on her napkin. After about 20 minutes through the meal we realized we have not only NOT seen our waitress since our order was taken, but that apparently she must horde the entire cache of napkins in her apron pocket. So I was forced to walk up to the front and grab a few sets of the pre- prepared utensils from the bin at the hostess stand. When our waitress finally arrived to check on the quality of the food as were finishing up the last few bites. She reached over the rainforest foliage to grab my water glass after I had to ask for more with no mention of the new center piece we created or an apology for going through the meal with nothing to drink . She then promptly brought us the check with what we felt like was a slightly urged tone that, "we can pay up front on our way out the door." So long story short, ok food, stretching your wrists for proper salt application is a must. And stalk up like a prepper with drink rations and napkins cause you might only get one chance to ask for what you need.

Stopped in on out way back from Chicago to ohio. Decent breakfasts. The skillet options looked good. Had spinach bacon Swiss omelette which was tasty and the potato pancakes are THE item to get!! Great flavor!! Biscuits appeared to come from frozen not homemade. Really disappointed with that. Coffee not great either. But if you want basic flapjacks and breakfast this is alright. Doubt we'll come back though.

This place is awesome! Family stopped here on our way to Indianapolis and it was great. Small town diner right off the highway. Nice staff and tasty food. Portions were excellent.

We had brunch at Flap Jack's yesterday and I was most impressed. The people were friendly and attentive, the dining room was clean and comfortable. I ordered the omelet with spinach and feta cheese, it came with a two side options, I chose the hash browns and pancakes - I added on the Hawaiian topping to the pancakes and boy-howdy was that the best choice! The omelet was large, cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of spinach and folded in the center was a good portion of feta - every bite was delicious! The hash browns were good, but the crowning glory of the meal was the pancakes with the Hawaiian topping, which consisted of coconut and pineapple in a light pineapple sauce. This delicacy didn't even need a drop of syrup since the pineapple and sauce sweetened it up just enough. It's a must try! There are Flap Jacks locations all around central Indiana, I hope the others are as good as this one in Lebanon.

Had breakfast here this morning. Lets start with the positives: Awesome service, my coffee cup was never empty for more than 5 seconds. Amanda (our server) was friendly and attentive. Manager/owner greeted us at the door, promptly seated us, etc. service was excellent Food. We both had omelettes with hash browns and pancakes, plus we added on a waffle with strawberries and whip cream because my wife likes waffles. This was a ton of food and we ended up not eating everything. Omelettes were cooked perfectly, hash browns were great, pancakes were ok. I read a lot about the awesome pancakes, my wife thoroughly enjoyed hers, I found the taste as take it or leave it. I wouldn't come back solely for the pancakes. The coffee was really good. It was the perfect temperature for me, they pour it and you can drink it right away without scalding yourself. The not so great: the strawberries tastes like they came out of a can. That's it. Nothing else negative that I can see/taste. This place is very good and I highly recommend it. In fact in planning this trip the reviews for flap jacks made me decide to stay in this area for the night and we stayed at a less expensive hotel that didn't serve breakfast just so we could hit flap jacks for breakfast. 5 stars if I hadn't of added strawberries to the waffle. 4.8 stars because I did.

As someone who isn't really a big fan of breakfast food, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. While Flap Jacks' menu is very large, diverse, and offers many non-breakfast items, I felt that at a place called "Flap Jacks" it would be wrong to not get a traditional breakfast dish and that there was a good chance that I might be disappointed if I did. So I got their eggs benedict and my boyfriend got their french toast with eggs, bacon, and toast. From the way my boyfriend scarfed down his food, he definitely seemed to enjoy his choice. My food was good, not the best eggs benedict I've had, but good. I liked it enough to eat the whole thing, that's for sure. I think that if we do make it back over there that I might try one of their burgers, I saw someone else order one and it looked really good. I think that if I was more of a breakfast fan that I would have probably enjoyed this place a bit more.

If you are looking for a better than average breakfast experience, a full coffee cup, and great service, then the Lebanon Flap Jacks is definitely your stop. Hubby and I make FJ a regular breakfast stop because we know we will get all of the above every single time! Breakfast: As other reviewers have said, they have incredible pancakes... every time! Moreover, the servers are friendly and absolutely helpful. In fact, during our last visit I wasn't sure which of their breakfast skillets to try. To my astonishment and ultimately to my gratitude, the server suggested one that wasn't even on the menu (but that they feature every once in awhile as a special). It, indeed, hit the spot! On a prior visit, hubby and I were on our way to a business meeting and were engrossed in pre-meeting conversation. Without interrupting us to ask questions, the server just brought us drinks to go when she brought the check! Lastly, the prices are very reasonable and the portions more than satisfying. Don't miss out on this gem whether you are a local or just passing through!

So, this was fast food, but it was good fast food. A little road trip stop for breakfast, and it was tasty.

Saturday, 17 May 2014, we made plans to stop by for breakfast on our way to Bowling Green, Kentucky. The place was easy to find. It is located right off of Interstate 65. It was just getting busy when we arrived. We were seated immediately. I ordered bacon and eggs with pancakes. The Mrs. ordered a three egg omelet with pancakes. Everything arrived hot and the portions were large. The bacon, eggs, and omelet were all delicious. But the pancakes were out of this world. Our server was very friendly and she kept our cups full of good hot coffee. We will stop here every-time we drive to Indianapolis.

I'm a regular here, and get the same thing, egg whites, turkey bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. It's funny because I can make all of this stuff at home (except those awesome pancakes) but I seriously enjoy the atmosphere and love the staff, highly recommend this place. Food 8/10 Service 10/10

Good food, excellent prices. Our waitress was great! Had the cream of chicken soup and it was awesome. Family had: chicken caesar salad (okay), western omelet (great!), spaghetti & meatballs (meatballs were HUGE and relish). Will def go back if I'm in the area.

Driving out to this place was a treat when I lived at Wabash College. I would always stop on my way into Indy from Rt. 32. I enjoyed all of their food and the cleanliness of the restaurant was unsurpassed by any other place around...for sure! The staff was always super nice and one of the owners even bought my breakfast when he found out I was Greek...woo hoo! I left a 20 for a tip, so that balanced out well! Admittedly, I never got flap-jacks of any kind, but their skillets and omelettes were great! Lebanon does not have many places to eat at, and if you are on the highway to Indy, you can see their advertising on the road, and the restaurant is even visible from the highway, so stop on by and enjoy a good breakfast!

My wife and I have had breakfast here and light suppers. For breakfast she had biscuits and gravy, which she found to be good but not the best she's had; a little bland. I had sausage and eggs with hashbrowns and pancakes (this was actually brunch). The sausage could have used a touch more seasoning but it was otherwise all good. Later she had a cheese sandwich and, being a native hoosier, I had a breaded tenderloin. The sandwiches were fine; I thought her french fries were a little under par but not bad. Service was prompt and friendly. The building is very pleasant and you have a choice of outdoor seating. The menu is extensive for a family restaurant with, for instance, three kinds of crepes. I'll have no hesitation to come back.
