Best Mexican joint in town. Full menu and well made drinks. Service is wonderful, too.

Always great food, service with a smile! Treat you like familia when here. Of course when its slammed, it's a working restaurant. Not cheap with the Guacamole either!

Well, as always, I feel a bit torn with no half star options on the review. I'll start with the positive. The service was absolutely stellar, on a Friday night, prime dinner time. Friendly and professional, we felt welcomed from the start, and the fact that they really appreciated us being there. The chips were...well, they were pretty much your standard chips. The salsa? Amazing. Love, love, LOVE it. The food....it was average or maybe a little below. I got a combination platter. The taco was good, not great. The tamale was VERY good, the chile relleno was quite disappointing. I'd call the service a 5, the food a 2. A 2.5 star review would probably be more accurate.

Being in my hometown I eat here almost every weekend. The food is always amazing and very flavorful. The atmosphere is great and everyone there is super friendly and outgoing. I've only had to wait longer than five minutes to be seated once and they took a percentage off the bill because of it. The management is wonderful and the staff is always very happy and pleasant. The chips and salsa that are offered as soon as you are seated are always warm and fresh and the salsa is very authentic and has a nice medium spice to it. The food is always out within about ten minutes of placing your order and contains very fresh perfectly cooked meat and veggies. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a relaxed and personable eating environment.

I have eaten here twice. Food is just ok. Service has been terrible both times. They haven't been busy, just a lot of sitting around. You have to flag someone down to get your order, a drink or anything extra. Actually, just forget even asking for anything extra.

Second chance. Fail. No A/C in the restaurant and no one seemed to care. The first time ordered the steak and shrimp chimichanga and the shrimp and steak were inedible hard dry bits because they don't seal the chimichanga before they fry it. Don't think there will be a third try.

I'm a regular here, every Thursday and sometime more often than that, I have explored around the menu and enjoyed about everything, but now I stick to 1 basket of chips/salsa and a grilled chicken quesadea, best $4 I ever spent, get two if you are hungry. Great staff too, but the older guy that brings the chips doesn't know much English.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
