HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I had my wedding there on 8/8/2015 and having it at Heston Hills Banquets made all the difference! First off, I loved that the location has both an outside (Prairie Terrace) that is surrounded by nature and a lovely/elegant, grand ballroom on the inside (Galena room). So naturally, I chose to have both my ceremony AND reception there! What I also really liked about the "plan B" location for the ceremony just in case it rained (Prairie view room). Secondly, the event coordinator there, Sue, was such a huge help! I met with her on several occasions going over the food (Heston provides the food-so good!), drink, chair/table, and decoration options. Could't have done it without her! Third and final point, is that all of this was at a very good price! I was looking around for several months trying to find venues that had what I was looking for that didn't come with a Chicago amount price tag. It was a win-win in the end! The day of the wedding came around and everything went so smoothly! Nothing went wrong at all-absolutely flawless! Sue and her assistant kept the flow of things moving at a good pace and they arranged everything with the vendors on site. Thank you so much again! So, if you're looking for a perfect ceremony and/or reception site, look no further :)

I attended a wedding & reception at Heston Hills and was very impressed. There is plenty of parking and the building and grounds are very well kept. The catered food was all very good from the pasta & veggie meal to the prime rib, nobody complained about their food taste or temperature. Additionally, the large reception area we were in had a nice outdoor area where those who needed a fresh breath of air could gather.

Our wedding reception was here. It was a huge reception (350 people). The coordinator at the time was WONDERFUL. She no longer works there, as our wedding was 3 years ago. But - nonetheless - the Prime Rib is famous, and of course delicious (same prime rib as Heston Bar). I loved all the food, the choices, the staff. It was rather pricey but what do you expect for a secluded, gorgeous location? The wedding was held on the terrace, it was beautiful and perfect. But, of course, I am a bit biased as it was my wedding day. :)

Went here for a wedding this past weekend. Gorgeous space - but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out in the middle of no where La Porte Indiana. Indeed, it was one of the more beautiful wedding spaces I have been too, but it was so secluded cell phone reception for myself and multiple guests was iffy at best. Not that I was dying to talk on my phone, but I think if you are considering this place for your wedding/event - look into it. I used my cell phone non stop on my wedding day - as getting ahold of your wedding party is crucial. So, just something to think about - may be an issue for some. Wedding was outside on a terrace overlooking a gorgeous area of tree lined land (no tent, but I heard they are available) and it was really spacious. Reception was inside and the banquet room was nice and had huge windows overlooking some woods which was really nice and different from the typical boring banquet facilities. Food was delicious - although I wish the portions had been a little bigger. If i'm drinking for more than 3 hours I need a substantial base. :) All in all - really enjoyed it. About two hours from Chicago, and although we didn't stay at a hotel, there are plenty within 15-20 minutes.

Had my wedding here in June 2009. I love the facility, food, and staff. Their wedding coordinator was amazing and made everything run perfectly all day. It is a little in the middle of no where but is very private and the nature surrounding is a plus. We reserved for a shuttle service to send the guests back to New Buffalo so no one would have to drink and drive. So happy we chose Heston for our wedding site. Reasonably priced too. My only recommendation: put A/C in the brides room or crank it up for summer weddings. The room is smaller so when you pack in girls and are wearing a big dress it can get a little warm. The boys room however was definitely air condition, huge, and the guys even played a little beer pong beforehand.
