The worst and most expensive pizza we ever ate or bought. A $1.00 pizza in the froze food section would have been better service wasn't so great either. I wouldn't waste my time going

Good pizza. Awesome meatballs. Good beer but wish there were more microbrews available.

I am definitely a regular at Professor Joe's. On Tuesday nights they have a $10 any size, any pizza deal that is just so great. My friends and I go and order a couple pizzas and end up spending around $5 per person or less. Such a great deal! Their pizzas are very good, but if you like buffalo sauce you NEED to try The Tailgator. It is my absolute favorite.

I'm picky about pizza. We ordered the artichoke bacon and tomato pizza. PERFECTION. Crispy, but chewy crust and definitely get dipping sauces for the crust. There's a great variety of pizza on the menu. And the one we chose was a nice detour from your basic red sauced cheese and meat pie. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. A truly please all pizzeria.

Professor Joes specialty is the meatballs and his specialty pizzas plus the excellent staff. The pizza is not thin crust so if you don't like a doughy crust you may want to go elsewhere. However his specialty toppings are excellent and a good value. The restaurant is narrow on space but that's what ales the atmosphere. I recommend this place highly if you prefer a thicker crust and premium toppings.

Awesome meatballs. Seriously, among the very best I've had. Tried the pizza too, and liked it, although I agree with one of the other reviewers that it could have been just a bit more crispy. (The taste was great. But it was just a little on the soft side.) Good selection of local microbrews too. That, and the owner was working the bar when I went in. Talked with him. Good guy. Overall, a good find.

Alright, so I am finally rating this place. It is a bit tricky with restaurants like this because it does some things so right and some things so, so wrong. At this point I have tried it a few times to make sure that it was not a one-off experience. The place is clean and the waitresses/waiters are always amicable. Sports bar but with an inviting atmosphere that is not super loud. The appetizers are very, very good. I especially like the cheese-filled meatballs that are a version of the Uncorked meatballs from across the street. From what I've heard, the chef used to work at Uncorked and so he's modified the recipe for Professor Joe's. I don't care if you try Professor Joe's or Uncorked's, I could eat those meatballs daily (although, honestly, Uncorked is most likely both better quality and more expensive). Their garlic knots and ties are also tasty. The pizza. I can't even with this pizza. I really wanted it to be a fluke, but by now I have tried four different pizzas "just in case". It has always been super gooey, and underdone. Completely falls apart in just the worst way possible and because it's underdone it never comes out tasting right. Oh well. Honestly, I think this place could improve a lot if they do some drastic change to their pizza since...there are some pros in there. But the pizza is supposed to be their main dish. As it stands though, I'm not super likely to come back again.

The layout is bad. Very skinny restaurant space and because of this, the TV watching angles are terrible. Crank your head up, or (if you're upstairs) peer through rails as you look downstairs. The very quietly playing old country songs were kind of a mood killer. The twist appetizer was nice and buttery. The marinara served with it was thick and delicious. Not sure if they make it themselves, but I preferred this style of marinara for bread dipping than the normal soupy stuff. The pizza is not as bad as some other reviewers make it out to be, but it was a very underwhelming 14" pie for $20. Many regular old pizza delivery places bring a noticeably better product to your door for much cheaper. Frankly, the pizza is amateurish. The dough is boring. The crust need some garlic butter on it or something. There was ham on our supreme pizza, and if it's on the menu that way, it was my fault for not noticing, but ham is not a standard supreme pizza topping to me. We also got a thinner crust Mexican themed pizza. That one was actually pretty good with tortilla strips on top. My drinks were $5 for a captain and coke or a tanqueray and tonic Overall it's one of those places where I can't help but think they aren't going to be around very long. I would recommend finding another place, but in a pinch it's not a terrible option.

Waited 25 minutes for burnt dried out knot appetizers. That was after five minutes just to put in our drink order. I wouldn't mind if they were busy but there were only three tables of people what a joke.

Best pizza in Lafayette but, we had terrible terrible service!!! My husband, myself and a friend of mine visited during $10 pizza night and the place was pretty empty. We had to wait for a drink order for over five minutes. Then, our drinks (water) came quickly. We weren't familiar with the menu so it took a little while for us to decide. We had to wait 15 minutes for our order to be taken, the appetizer (garlic knots) was delicious but we never received plates! Ridiculous! Our server was also bartending and was downstairs and we were seated upstairs it was like he forgot about us multiple times. Our pizza finally came, still no plates!!! We were super hungry though so, we just chowed down. We sat there for twenty or thirty minutes after we had finished our meal and he still didn't bring up the check so I went DOWNSTAIRS to the bar and had to ask for our check. So, like I said. Awesome food! Poor service if you are seated upstairs.

Pizza is good, especially the tailgater, knots are excellent. Good place to catch a game. Not so loud that you can't talk, comfortable, fair prices. If they keep this up, they'll be around a long time.

Great local bar/pizza spot. First time going and have already decided this is my go to spot in lafayette. Hawaiian Pizza was amazing.

Ate here as it came highly recommended by the young hotel clerk when I asked him for a good pizza place. Enjoyed a veggie pizza, perfectly cooked. It was very good. Lots of big screen tvs. More of a sports bar atmosphere with pub tables, bar seating, and a few tables upstairs. It was a clean, pleasant place with pleasant staff. Sign on door said you must be 21 to enter. Should have eaten here instead of the other pizza place where I ate tonight but thought I'd try a different place. It was a bad move.

The hours are forgiving at this cozy comfort food haven. If the restaurants around it are closed, they have always been open. It is a smaller restaurant, but so is nearly any store on Main Street! I've been to this establishment thrice and thrice I have been treated to good food, good drink and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Of note, the garlic knots are mouth watering and their pizzas are fresh and inspired. The waiter we had most recently was well versed in the beers on tap, which are not your pain old Bud, Bud Light and Coors Light variety, giving great suggestions. There are multiple screens for sports, decent bathrooms and even a dartboard in place despite its corridor location. Great place for grabbing a bite, a slice, a pint or all of the above!

Pizza dough is not made fresh, and neither is the sauce. For a restaurant competing with the chains it needs to stop copying them and use fresh dough, fresh sauce, and fresh ingredients. Price is not worth it for bought in items.

Good bar atmosphere. The place is clean and well maintained. There's plenty of people on the wait staff, but act as if its a bother to serve you. The pizza is a bit high priced for what you get. Im not sure if I'll eat here again when the owner isn't here. As I was eating my pizza, I asked for box, knowing that I wouldn't be able to finish my entire pizza. The waitress picked up my plate, drink and napkins, then took off. I wish she was as quick to bring me my bill. That took over a half an hour, and many request to get. Once the waitresses realized I was finishing up my meal, and I asked what took so long to get my bill, she said "I saw no reason to check on you anymore. You were just taking up the space of another paying customer. " Overall. Good food, though a bit high priced. Poor service and poor wait staff along with no Internet access, regardless of what they may say publicly.

Not sure where the hot waitresses were in fact I was looking for mine all night. Pizza was good nothing out of this world but $19.99 for a specialty pizza is a lil steep for anything short of magical. $5.00 beers a lil steep too. I.can go anywhere in town and get a solid pint for under that. Meatball appetizer $5.99 for 3 medium sized meatballs with 2 pieces of subpar garlic bread. Twisters were average. Might go back but at such a steep price for pie I might have to save up

I ate there on the second day, Not sure what to think yet. I went during a slower part of the day and my food was good. I didnt have any issues with my waitress. The cook came out to make sure my meal was good and I could tell that he took pride in it. Overall Ill try them again the calzone was good now it is time to try a pizza.

Ordered take out through Mr. Delivery. We were very happy. The quality of our pizza was very good. Good ingredients and topping ratio. Around $20 for a large pizza.

Pretty bad. I didn't have my ID on me and they still wouldn't serve me, even though I am 22, was with my grandparents and it was 7:30pm. After I drove back to my apartment to get my ID and went back, we discovered the service was insanely slow for how empty the place was. Lastly, the already subpar pizza was very burnt on the bottom. Just bad.

Ordered salad and BBQ sandwich Sandwich was hard to eat and very little BBQ sauce. Salad was ok the dressing was very watered down. wont go back nothing special

Just OK. Decor is great, beer is cold, good selection of sports on TV, but the food is a letdown. House salad a good value, spinach salad ok, but a bit pricey at $7.99. Italian sausage sandwich - sausage needs flavor. Stromboli unlike anyone else's, meat is a mystery and not that good. This place needs to work on flavor, flavor, flavor...that's how you stand out in the restaurant business.

Great beer options. Nice wine choices. The pizza is good but I like the calzones best. The staff is friendly too.
