They also have bands sometimes on the weekend. It can be impossible to hold a conversation when the band is playing, though. It's also open later than the one in West Lafayette. The menu is a little more restricted, but they have great burgers. You can also get any variety of burger with a vegetarian option, which is great for my vegetarian boyfriend. They have daily drink specials and the waitresses have always been very friendly and try to be attentive, even when it's a completely packed house.

I feel like I should like Hunter's more, and asthetically it's cool, and if it's not too busy it's great, but the combination of low ceilings, smoke, limited seating, and crammed in drunks on the weekends makes me want to push my way the eff out, run up the stairs and flee for The Black Sparrow or somewhere. What I like though, is the nice bartender who from what regulars tell me, always remembers your drink and your name. They have live music, too.

Great atmosphere, wonderful staff. The food is good at a decent price, but stay away from the turkey burger, it's just processed nasty turkey. There are many other good items available, including the BLT.

The $1.75/bottle specials on Monday and Thursday are amazing especially when you start looking at the prices around downtown. The servers are excellent, and the bartender is a great guy. He knows our names and it never takes long to get a cold beer.

This is a great little bar that you have to go down stairs to find. The bartender is always friendly and their food is good at a reasonable price. I enjoy going there for lunch, dinner, or drinks. I recommend their pub pasta salad for something light but filling. Great place for a nice relaxing night if you don't mind the smoke!

Steve is one of the best bartenders in town. There are also very good bands that play down there. My only complaint is that as a non smoker it can get a bit over bearing on a busy night.
