Stopped here on the way from Chicago to Cincinnati. It's Denny's. It's right off the highway. It's in a very rural area. We sat by truck drivers with thick southern accents who complained about their sundaes and got 10% off. I asked for hash browns with peppers and onions and I got a confused look but a halfway decent / edible creation. Overall, we definitely looked like yankee outsiders walking in here, we ate, used the bathroom, and kept on driving.

Nice food and service. Typical dine-in restaurant. Went in at 10:00 Monday morning and was greeted by friendly service. I had an order of cheese sticks and a lumberjack slam, and they came out within 10 minutes. All of the food was delicious, although I wasn't a big fan of the eggs that came with the slam. The place didn't start getting busy until 10:30, but the place was mostly well cared for and appealing. I'm not sure why so many other people here had worse experiences, but I think it's good. It's not the best food in town, but it's far from terrible. The service was friendly and checked in every 10-15 minutes. If you're looking for some dine-in grub on a weekday morning, try checking this place out.

Horrible service. There was ketchup all over my menu on the inside. Waited over 20 minutes for water and the manager was unapologetic. The table sat after us was given service before us and the server was rude. Seriously considered leaving and just going to McDonalds. I won't be returning to this establishment.

I was super hungry & saw this on my way back to Louisville from Chicago. We waited more than 10 minutes ( seriously) since being seated.... & no one came to even offer drinks. Meanwhile- 3 servers plus the hostess were hanging out at the hostess stand . We left- avoid this place!

Ridiculous. Would give a "No Star", if I could. Not that crowded, us a group of 3 were seated right away at 11:40, for a late Breakfast, but considering we were on the road since 8am, we were making precious time for the 4th of July weekend. So, after usual drink orders, we went ahead to order our breakfast. After 40 min wait, I decided to ask someone/another waitress. Finally our waitress was billing the next table, sonic waived her & asked why our food was taking so long. She said "I told you it was gonna take a few min". Hell yes, a few is 15-20 min. I told her, we have been waiting for 40 min. Then she decided to go & ask the kitchen, came back & told us, an additional 20 min. Wait. At that, we just got up & left. The point is, no one came in between the wait (40 min), to explain, apologize, offer something. Most importantly, acknowledge their mistake at least & not put their shortcomings to the customers face, " we told you , wait at your own risk" attitude. Again, The place was not packed. Reading the reviews, it's a pattern, not well trained servers, poor management altogether. Corporate seemed to have given up on their business. That was precious time wasted. Whew, never again. Denny's suck, to say the least. If other branches are any different, well it's just their bad luck, that this one branch is pulling the others down.

Awful service. Our waitress was slow with even just getting us waters. It was not busy and it took almost 40 minutes to get our food, and then she forgot half of our order.

The place was decent, but our food took a while to get to us. Our friend wanted a custom omelette, but what he ordered and what appeared were related only by the fact that they were both omelettes. The server was nice, but she seemed a touch lost. The ice tea was cloudy, and I don't recommend it. Even the lemon didn't help. Our server offered to get me something else, but the coffee was harsher than I like, so I just let it go. The rest of the food was okay, but the portions seemed smaller than usual. Not my best experience at a Denny's.

OK, I'm giving this three stars because I'm honestly not sure what to give it. The food, as others have stated, is probably the worst Denny's food you can get. My expectations are very low for Denny's, and they were even lower after reading the reviews for this Denny's and then going anyway. So lower your expectations, then double the lowness of that expectation, and you will be pleasantly surprised. As someone else already said, the iced tea is weird and murky. I drank it anyway, AND got a refill. If I don't report violent diahrreah in a later review, then it turned out fine. Or I died. The zesty nachos I ordered were somehow different from all the other times I have ordered from other Denny's. The chicken wraps were very bland. What made this experience particularly unique for me, and what made it difficult to decide between a one star and five star rating, was the service: our server was inadvertently hilarious and very candid about how much she hated working at Denny's. I think we had a five-minute conversation with her about how much she liked gaming, until it moved back into how much she hates working at Denny's. Obviously not for everyone, but it made our night. Maybe because she was hilarious, maybe because it made my friend and I feel better about not working at Denny's. Anyway, if you're not fussy about good food, or good service, then this is the place for you. I forget why I'm giving this three stars. It was a pretty bad experience.

Ok, it's Denny's. You don't come expecting your palate to be blown while Gordon Ramsay is touting the best Moons Over My Hammy... However, if you find yourself looking for a decent early morning breakfast or very late night burger, stop on by! The place was clean, our waitress was very friendly and smiling, my jalapeño burger was tasty and the mozzarella sticks topped it off with their oily, cheesy, fried goodness. Portions are smaller ad the fries weren't the greatest but remember - it's Denny's and anything else at 2am just wouldn't be available.

Do not go here. Let me recount my harrowing experience at this place: I order a chicken sandwich from the to-go menu and receive a bacon sandwich instead. I go back and tell them this and they take another 10 minutes to make my sandwich. To top it off, they forget the vegetables that comes as a side with the sandwich and I had to specifically ask them this. The person working the registers at this point goes back inside, grabs a random plastic cup sitting on the counter, throws whatever its contents were into the sink (I kid you not), and fills the cup with veggies and gives it to me. A used plastic cup. This was my first and last visit to this disgusting place.

If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. this review is delayed, we stopped in the.mid afternoon, July 12th. Stopped here from north Carolina on the way to Chicago. I'm not the type to bitch about food cos I know how shitty it is to work with difficult customers, but the food was disgusting, our server was rude and treated us like an inconvience and the coffee had a filmy slime to the surface. I understand that dennys may not be a fancy restaurant, but I've been to plenty of dennys and have been served well, this one is ridiculous is just ridiculous.

This place gets 2 stars because the menu itself looks good. I've been there about 5 times, all different times of the day but usually the weekend, and there is Never good service! It takes forever to get your food and when it comes it's usually cold or will be shortly. Also, and I'm not a bitchy customer and I'm very appreciative of waiters as I was one and always at lower scale places, but there is usually no one there in the afternoon/evening and the service is still bad. It's not just the pace of the cook either, the servers usually forget, don't understand, or ignore things. Recently I went for breakfast and the guy brings my partner a refill of coffee but totally bypasses my soft drink which was empty twice, I finally had to ash or one and I too took awhile. Overall, I don't think it's managed very well.
