Pricey but worth it. Food was excellent and really enjoyed the crab cakes. Bartender took way too long for our drinks, and couldn't get my drink right. My friend's chop chop salad was really good.

They gotta market better. This place is really good. Try the salmon, it's delicious! Our server Kevin was so sweet too.

Great place! good food and service!!! Loved the crab cakes and chop salad. Nice atmosphere for a special occasion. We have a nice time celebrating Valentine's Day. If you are looking for a non-chain place- this is it!

Last evening the staff at A. Michaels help me host a retirement dinner for a very dear friend. Erin, one of the owners, could not have been more pleasant to work. She made planning the event a breeze. The room was set up just as I wanted it and the wait staff helped unload my car, put out flowers, and favors. The food was excellent. My husband and I savored the salmon. The seasonings were just right and it was served hot with rice and a medley of snow peas and carrots. Creme brûlée and salad were also excellent. The wait staff was so helpful with all of our needs! I cannot say enough about this wonderful experience with this restaurant. Thank you all.

Best steak (ribeye) I've had and among the best service I've had. And I've lived and eaten around the world. The cob salad is excellent too.

We enjoyed our meal there but I just do not think they will make it. Essentially they have no web presence; I had a hard time finding their menu online with no links on either YELP or Urbanspoon. Nothing on social media. They have a rather old school menu, although it does offer a decent selection and they even have a gluten free menu. Biggest problem is the upscale pricing, a big no no for the blue collar Kokomo market. The target audience for a new restaurant should be 18 to 45 year olds, not the 55 and up that seems to be what A. Michael's has targeted, even if unconsciously. The food was excellent, cooked professionally and properly spiced, albeit with a bit of a heavy hand with the salt. Service was adequate if a bit untrained. Both the salmon and rib eye were very tasty; sides were fresh and good. The chop salad was nicely done although, again, a bit pricey at $8. Bottom line - the place was empty, they are dying in spite of very respectable food. They could stand help from Restaurant Impossible in the marketing arena. Without changes I fear they are going to be gone soon. Maybe warmer weather will help.

What a great place! The atmosphere is really cool, and the food is so much better than that. Our wait staff was always on time but not hovering, the food temp was perfect, and the portions were just right. Can't wait to come back here!!!

Was very surprised by what my wife and I found at A Michael's. Food is fabulous and in my humble opinion did not need any additional seasoning. I had seafood that was very tasty and my wife had steak that was very tasty and made to her request. I would advise to dress nice though in the bar area jeans (if nice) would be more to your comfort. I feel the cost of the meals, though worth the price, are higher than Yelp's classification. Can't beat the service. These people want you to enjoy your meal and want your business.

Went there on 2/8 for a family members birthday celebration. For 7pm on a Saturday night, the place was dead which leads me to believe it won't stay open that long. The menu is small which is expected at most upscale restaurants but I wouldn't rate what I had as upscale. I had scallops and they were very rubbery indicating they were over-cooked. As someone who loves and eats scallops a lot I expect them to be butter and smooth. The risotto with it was "ok" a little bland. We had an appetizer of the risotto balls and they didn't not taste like they were made in house. They tasted as if they were frozen and deep-fried. The staff was friendly but knew very little about the menu and did very little to up-sell any part of. For the price we paid for our meal I would expect much better quality, perfectly cooked and all home-made. Not sure I would to back here.

The staff makes this restaurant every hostess and waiter is extremely friendly. But unfortunately that's all that's really great here. The menu is limited and pretentious with prices that don't match the quality of what was served. Nothing my wife or I had would make us want to come back. It's a shame really this place is nice and it seemed to have decent bar traffic. I get that they are trying to be something more upscale than the rest of the restaurants in town. The quality and presentation don't don't match the pricing.

Have eaten there twice now and enjoyed both meals. It's pricey enough to be a special celebration destination, rather than regular dining out. The steaks are the best choice! My dining companions are quite particular, and all 4 steaks were juicy, tender, generously cut, quality meat cooked to perfection. Caesar salad was good, nothing special, but the chop salad was amazing! French onion soup was a little salty but still quite enjoyable. My daughter loved the warm bread they served. The chicken dinner, salmon, and fish & chips were all good (especially the Mac-n-cheese that comes with the chicken) but can't compare to the quality of the steaks. Also, thought the side dishes such as roasted root vegetables in March were more imaginative than the green beans offered in July. The service was good though and, in July, our server actually brought up the choice of substituting any of the side dishes at no extra charge. In addition, we really enjoy the decor and general ambiance of A Michaels and plan to return soon with visiting relatives.
