My first experience with McAlister's was several years ago at a lun heon which was catered by them. The turkey and ham made a great sandwich. On my 1st visit to the restaurant, I was almost overwhelmed with the vast variety of food choices and combinations. I chose the mufffeleta not knowing how big it was. I had enough for 3 people to eat a small sandwich. The club sandwich is great as is their pepperwd turkey. On 2 different occasions, my family has used them to cater family gatherings. I chose the baked potato bar and was not disappointed. The huge potatoes came with numerous toppimgs, all neatly packed in individual containers. Everyone was very pleased. Other menu items I love at McAlisters is the gumbo, chili and the sweet tea and lemonade. Tey to have something in mind that you want because everything on the menu board sounds and is delicious.

I have not tried very much at McAlister's because I can't pull myself away from their Pepper Jack Turkey with honey mustard. I've never liked honey mustard for the record. Honestly, I feel like they bullied me into loving it by forgetting to leave it off my sandwhich per my requests, the first few times I ordered it. Now I can't have it without it. I'm not sure if that will translate in real life (as in, if I were home making a turkey sandwhich, I doubt that the honey mustard would work for me). It doesn't matter though. I LOVE this sandwhich. It's full of turkey and bacon and warmness and goodness and then there's the perfect pickle on the side!! Yes. Yes McAlisters. YES. Yes to you, yes to the pepper jack turkey sammich (yes to that spelling), and yes to a check in. I will return again, as I often do!

This is the first time at this location. It was smaller, but they kept the line going quickly. It was right at dinner time so I thought we'd be in line forever. I always get my favorite orange cranberry club and a half and half iced tea. My sandwich was good and they kept our tea full! One more star on our card and we get a free tea. It's a good place to relax, talk, and drink the awesome tea.

Italian chopped salad is great. Also got the cup of chili. So good I didn't taste my tea until I was finished eating.

Recently decided to give McAlisters another try...Meh! I got their full Muffeleta sandwich. It is a a traditional size Muffaleta (about 10" around, divided into quarters.) This was just ok..lots of meat (what no mortadella?) The bread was dry and the tapenade was sour...like I said...Meh! Also got a grilled chicken baked potato. The potato and all the toppings were good. The issue I had is that like any red blooded american I like my potato MY way so I proceeded to order extra green onions and sour cream. The potato did have extra green onions as requested, but when I got home I discovered that there was NO SOUR CREAM...WTF?!?! No sour cream wit your baked potato...downright communist! Also, when leaving, i decided to get some pickles and peppers to go as well and was disgusted with the state of the condiments bar (peppers/pickles/pepperoncinis). I went to get some of the whole pepperoncinis and it appeared that there were rotting peppers in the bottom of the container...thanks, i'll pass! I gave McAlisters another try...not worth it...

We had dinner there two nights ago and the food was delicious; I had a California turkey reuben & a white macadamia nut cookie ($7.29), and my husband had a southwest chicken griller ($6.99) & a cup of fire-roasted vegetable soup ($1.99). The interior is large & attractive, it's very clean, and the counter staff plus the other workers were very friendly. We tried going there for lunch yesterday, but the line was out the door.

I love and miss McAlister's! I've been to the Avon location a few years ago and most recently, I came to this location with a couple of friends. Since I hadn't been back to the area in what feels like a good couple of years, I wanted to eat at the few places I loved when I lived here! =) I most always order their Veggie sandwich, and I noticed that they changed their sandwich just a little bit. Instead of having one whole sandwich cut in half, they now have about 6 tiny triangle slices all joined together by a toothpick, on either side of the plate... I liked it the old way better, but oh well, it was still good! With my meal, I got a peanut butter cookie which was AMAZING, and of course, how can you not have this when you are here, their SWEET iced tea! =) As I said before, I miss this place, and I'll be sure to come back when I'm back in town again...

These guys get their guests! They know how to take care of them and how to recommend everything off their menu. I asked the favorite today: Taco Salad! Taco Salad was great! A little heavy on the sauce but the service and the consistency well made up for it! Give the people sweet tea! And let them drink it too!

A little crazy ordering, but at least the food was good! We stopped here on our way to Nashville. We needed a quick lunch, and they were good to provide that! We waited in a line, and then you go up and order. They give you a number, and you put it on the stand at your table. Then someone brings you your food. So the food was good (I had a caesar salad and the vegetable soup. Both were fairly good...once I got my food the correct way. I guess the girl at the register was too busy acting "cool" to realize that I had asked for no cheese and the dressing on the side of my salad. She had an attitude from the beginning, which is the only reason this place gets docked a star. Great desserts, though! My favorite was the rice krispie treat with the chocolate on top, but the close runner up would be the chocolate chip cookie!

It was a pleasant surprise to get my fix of McAlister's Deli in the Indianapolis area. My wife and I frequented McAlister's Deli on almost a weekly basis while living in New Orleans. She even used to work at one. Long story short, she was super excited to stop in for some great Ice Tea and some delicious food. We started out with the Chili Cheese Dip, which is no longer on the menu (or at least wasn't at this location). Nonetheless, they did make it for us, and it was delicious as always. For my meal, I had the Pick 2 Combo: Spud Max and Club Sandwich. Both were excellent! I also had some great ice tea (I recommend the Sweet Tea for those who like it sweet!). Overall, we had a great experience and even left with a McAlister's Deli Christmas ornament to remember the occasion.

Even being a big supporter of locally-owned, non-chain restaurants, I have to give McAlister's props where props are due. I work around the corner from this one, and they have never disappointed. Aside from the wonderful packaging they have making carry-out VERY convenient, they are sure to wrap soups and hot sides with plastic wrap to doubly ensure no leakage. The staff is always friendly, our orders are always correct down to the smallest detail, and a couple of times I've been given free tea or sweets. Side note...a cute cashier there flattered me one day last summer. He made my day. Oh, I'm leaving out the best part: the food is great. I've tried 7 or 8 different things from the menu, and have yet to find something I don't like. Great lunch spot.

Being from California it was a great change of pace to come into a place you'd never been before and be treated so hospitably! My fiance and I enjoyed the sandwiches a great deal, and felt inclined to leave a tip to the staff that was just beaming the whole time! Everything was great!!!

I normally don't hand out 5 star reviews, but I had to for this McAlister's. I stopped in on Wednesday afternoon to buy a gift card, and maybe the bad day I was having was written all over my face, but the person helping me gave me a free Diet Coke and that seriously made my day. Just that little gesture, which I'm sure to him was nothing, made me smile for the first time that whole day. Awesome!

Found this on my phone's Yelp app, first time visitor,, surprised by fairly healthy menu, & fresh brewed iced tea (order extra ice on the side) there was a problem with my ordering but they did make it right, great Veggie Pita

This came highly recommended but they slightly messed up my order. I can see the high reviews have merit though. Friendly staff, good food, and a good menu. I would easily go back here again and try most of the other things on the menu.

I have now gone to this particular McAlister's on three different occasions with the level of customers varied from busy to nonexistent and it seems they just can't get things right. On yesterday 4/1/2012 I decided I would never go to this location ever again. We came into the place and made our order. We were specific in what we wanted. The one girl seemed to be miffed in that we didn't want a full cup of ice for our sweet tea. She told us it would melt down and I told her precisely and therefore it would be more water to dilute the tea and that I wanted to pay for tea not ice. Order was placed and we paid and sat down. Well after nearly 20min's we were wondering what was taking so long being there were hardly any customers. Mike the manager asked if we needed something and my GF said yes, our order. He inquired as to what we ordered and apparently they didn't have it. The other 'black shirt' manager who was working behind the service area in the food prep arena asked my GF what was the name last name on the order. She told her it was not under a last name but her first name which was ....... The girl continued to ask what was the last name? What difference does this make when a last name was never given? Needless to say for the second time in coming to this location we didn't have pickles with our sandwiches and my GF went back in to ask about that. She saw orders being served inside with them and asked if it was only inside dining that got pickles? The manager Mike told the car to give her four pickles as if to shut her up and get her out of there. He followed up with "lets get this orders right people." In an economic climate where things are tight and going out is a luxury and not a must, you would think those who work in the industry would appreciate your taking the time out to come their particular shop instead of spending your money else where. In this location are several food sources to choose from and I can say that McAlister's has been removed from our choice and if we decide that their menu is something we must have, we'll drive to another location. The food is OK but the service sucks and frankly MCL has better ice tea and McDonald's which is near by. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. It will never happen again.

Fantastic food! It is hard to find a good place that can make a good vegetarian item! I have fallen in love with their baked potato that has Vegi chili! It is super good and way filling. They also have some of the best tea I have had. I don't enjoy sweet tea but my mom and sister love it! They still have a great un-sweet tea!

I was in Indianapolis from out of town, and this was my first experience with a McAlister's. It was really good. The people working there were friendly, and they have a lot of great options. It seemed similar to Panera, but IMO it is better! Also, the ice tea is ridiculously good. McAlister...come to Milwaukee!

I love McAlister's!! The line moved quickly however I had to wait a while to get my to go order. My food is always delicious, my favorite being the broccoli cheddar soup. SOOO good. I saw asiago cheese bisque on the menu today. Next thing I'm trying for sure. You definitely get more soup than at Panera, but Panera has a better bread bowl. The lemonade is amazing too. I can't wait to go back!
