This place is in downtown Ashley, IN. It's only about a block long, but it is a famous place b/c it used to be a bank in the late 1800's and they still have the safe behind the bar! The food is filling and tasty to my buds. I enjoyed good service at the bar. The best part of it though is the dessert; the peanut butter fudge. A small 1 x 1 x 1 cube is all you need since it's so rich. Love it. And I will return.

We stopped here on our way home to Michigan from Ft Wayne. We searched for yelp for food options and this came up with fairly good reviews. We were not disappointed. It's located in an old bank with the old fashioned safe behind the bar. After the meal, our very friendly server suggested our son "rob the bank." The bartender had him com behind the bar, gave him a toy gun (she asked permission) and a money bag. He then posed and we took cute pics. It was a fun ending to a great meal. The portions are large, the food was well seasoned, and the produce was fresh and local!! The zucchini was mouth watering. And the "dessert" was a complimentary piece of peanut butter fudge: DELICIOUS!! I highly recommend this nostalgic location and plan to return next time I'm on 69!!

AWESOME!!!! Great food and very large portions!!!! Burgers are ginormous, Onion Rings are ginormous and drinks are STRONG!!!! This place was an old bank that was robbed by the old school Gangster Jon Dillinger a long time ago and has since been converted into a bar/restaurant.....and still has the old bullet holes in the walls from when Dillinger shot up the bank!!!! All around great place, great food & great service!!! Plus they give you a FREE piece of fudge after your meal!!!!

Good food and good service. Great history. Pretty dead on a Sunday evening. Sleepy little town off the interstate. I am full and so is the dog from leftovers.

On a road trip we saw the billboard on 69 south and decided to give it a try. Not that hard to find but it is a ways off the beaten path. The bar is large, we opted to sit at a table. There is plenty of seating and it wasn't very busy but they appeared to be short handed. Now on to the food! The menu is large enough to suit any craving. Mexican, pizza, steak, fish, burgers, the list goes on. I ordered steak and my wife got a wet burrito. The steak came with salad which was above average. The wait on the food was longer than expected for the dishes we ordered, not a place to go on a strict timeline. The steak was ok, not my best but not bad. Slightly overdone, and thin but large and flavorful. My wife's wet burrito was average and large enough for 2 meals. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very light on the gravy but the gravy was good. The vegetable was carrots that tasted like they just came out of a can so I didn't eat many of them. Desert was pie. I got the banana cream and my wife got peanut butter chocolate. Most likely purchased today at the local grocery store the pie was previously frozen. SAMs club has better pie in the deli fresh. Overall I give three stars for the potential. Fudge came with the check and it was tops! If they get some staff that can keep up and go a bit higher on some of the food quality this place could be ok. We won't chance it though.
