I usually love Zante's food. There chicken wrap is amazing and salads are too....but today I was dissapointed with the roast beef sandwich. There's no sauce of no kind...very dry....the bread was hard...had to literally fight with it. If your throw in a couple of peppers it would make a world of difference and even if it's just mayo...but put some sauce into that sandwich, maybe it would even resolved the hard bread.

Very good gyros! I'm pregnant and so far all I've wanted has been gyros... I swear this kid is going to come out saying opa! Gyros are huge and their tzaziki is a little chunkier than I'm used to, but good. Huge portions for a reasonable price. Recommend for a quick lunch... Or if you're pregnant and need that gyro!

Cheers to the small business owner! Good food, nice decor, plenty of parking, drive through fast, employees nice, bathrooms good...you can take your kids here... Prices are a little high, but they have affordable lunch specials... You pay for quality and that is what you get here...

Haven't gotten past ordering anything but the RIB TIPS! They are really, really good & fall apart tender, big portions and I always take home a 2 lb order of Rib Tips for $11.95.

Excellent meals served daily. Consistently providing quality gyros, beef, sausage, chicken, and burger options to their customers. I literally ate lunch here three times last week! Patty melt is good! Fries are always crispy outside, just mushy enough inside, and never cold! Beef sandwich is great! Same goes for the grilled chicken special! Never a bad idea to grab a bite at Zante's whenever I'm in Hessville!

Typical greek type fast-food. Got gyros and sandwiches. I had the beef. Not sure if its their own but it was pretty damn good. Will go back for sure.

I'm an over the road trucker for Roehl Transport up the street and everytime I go to the Indiana terminal i eat here. The chicken wrap is amazing and so are the gyros. My only issue is we have to take a company car to get there and sometimes it's not available so if you could start delivering not only would that be great for all the drivers who can't get the company car. You'd probably make a lot more money from these drivers. Consider it please lol

Not sure what Zante's has such low ratings but for a local restaurant that sells American type fare food, what more could you want? The food is pretty good, especially the ribs. The sauce is beyond tasty and my daughter frequently orders this dish. If you're looking for a Chicago styled hot dog in Hammond, this is the place to go. I live up the street from this restaurant and we frequent there often. The food is above average and for a decent price. Being across the street from Morton High School, it gets pretty busy during the late afternoon. During the early afternoon hours, construction workers frequent there but you don't have to wait too long for your food. I've never had a problem and I recommend it if you're looking for good tasting fast food and you're tired of McDonalds and Burger King.

This is an independent fast food place with a large range; if you want gyros, sandwiches, Polish or hot dogs, or ribs, you're covered. Ice cream and coffee-house style fancy cake also available (some with the original plastic dome packaging on them so you can read the ingredients). If you're a vegetarian, you're having the veggie sandwich, the grilled cheese or a Greek salad. I tried to order a gyro hold the meat and confused the person at the counter; ended up with the veggie sandwich (American and processed Swiss). I ordered it hold the American and hold the mayo; they got that half right. The "cheese poppers" are jalapenos filled with more processed cheese; they were obviously freshly fried but difficult to eat - I couldn't take a clean bite through the peppers. Perhaps with a knife and fork. My companions seemed happy with their food (ribs and a gyro) and the fries were good. I suspect the onion rings or any other fried food here would also be fine Interesting Greek-/Hollywood-themed decor and the Euro cup was on the television.

The very best Gyros anywhere.. including Greektown. I guess they do other stuff.. but I go for the Gyros exclusively .. I mean.. should i try the rib tips?.. or the chicken?.. NO, gimme the Gyro Dinner with everything to go. Never disappointed.

I am a frequent customer of zantes and have been for years. They always give the best bang for your buck and the food is great. Of course the gyros are what they are known for, but the chicken on foccacia bread sandwich, italian beef, and rib eye sandwich are also great!

The food was average at best but very cheaply priced. The staff is a little rude but nothing too bad. My issue is just after finishing my meal I have a baby roach crawling in front of me on the table. The restaurant looked a little dirty but really? If you have baby roaches crawling around during the early afternoon you have roaches bad! No thanks!

Dude!!!!!! If this is the place in the old wendy's across from Morton High School I know exactly what y'all are talking about........ Gyros beyond belief!! I came back to hessville for a visit 3 years ago and had to go there. The Chicago Hot dogs were quite tasty!!!!!!

The best for Greek take out! The bbq chicken dinner is great! For $6 you get like 10 lbs of food! The burger was great, HUGE! Italian beef is excellent. Prices are excellent!
