This place has great food and fast delivery. Definitely don't want to eat in but pick up or delivery is fine. Very generous portions and low prices.

This place has resonable prices and their lunch specials are great. Their is food decent and their portions are awesomely generous. It's a bit run down so you definitely wanna take your food to go or just simply order delivery. Either way your food is gonna be good and you'll have enough to bring to work for lunch the next day :).

I visited China House today for lunch to-go. Although the restaurant was void of Asian decor and left much to be desired in appearance, the food was its saving grace and worth the drive. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken lunch special and a side of Crab Rangoon. The meal includes: fried white meat chunks of chicken, pork fried rice, and an eggroll. Pros: prompt service, juicy tender chunks of white meat chicken, sweet & sour sauce automatically comes on the side and is actually sweet & sour (instead of just sweet as so many are); the eggroll was tasty not greasy; and the rice was tasty and complimented well with tender pieces of pork & green onion. Cons: I like my fried rice with bean sprouts so I was a little disappointed that it didn't include any; and although flavored well, the sweet & sour sauce should be a little thicker (which it might become when it cools off??) Overall, I wouldn't recommend dine-in eating at the restaurant but the food was a pleasant surprise and I'll certainly return again for take-out, of course. Recommended for tasty Chinese take-out in Hammond.

If you love Chinese food and you love Buffets, then you may love the way this place makes it a combo. I totally dig it. The only bad thing is you may take too much and get overfull, but most Chinese places usually give you extremely generous portions anyway. Actually taking too much isn't a bad thing. Pig out, by all means, I do it without shame...hehe. :)

I like his place...I prefer seeing other Asians enjoying the food not just a room full of Americans. I'm kind of skeptical about that because why would I go to a place where it is owned by Greeks and then noo Greek people eat there? I apply that to this place..the food is okay though!

Ordered delivery to Fairfield inn. Broccoli beef and chicken wings. Nice job. Egg roll very good. Wings were delicious. Cuts of beef quality and brown sauce tasty. Downside. Packet sauces and plastic fork was so flimsy it resembled lo mien noodle:(. Ask for chopsticks.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
