Driving through downtown Griffith I spotted this lil gourmet popcorn shop and decided to try it. I walked in and was impressed by the variety of flavors such as spicy, ranch, caramel, cheddar, etc... I was told I could purchase a refillable bucket which I could then bring back and refill at a discounted rate. I thought, hmm I better not since I've never had great gourmet popcorn outside of Chicago and was concerned I would not like it. Boy was I wrong! I tried the traditional Chicago mix (caramel/cheddar) which is now called the "Central Park" mix and it was great! Very comparable, if not better, than the Chicago ones. I can't wait to go back to try other flavors and purchase that refillable bucket! ;)
A great addition to the area! Love the blend of Carmel and cheese. Only second to Garretts in Chicago. Going today to replenish our supply.
I have been coming here since they were in the Friday market in town... So when they opened up shop I was happy to get my popcorn there. They like changing up the popcorn flavors so join the Facebook page to see what they have for that day. They only have so many flavors so made fresh very often during the day. I haven't had a flavor I didn't think was bad... Of course theres some I just didn't like but others loved! My favorite is the buffalo blue and hot chocolate not combined of course... If you are in the area check them out...

I LOVE this place. This is from someone who has had pizza from California to my current location in Massachusetts and NO one makes better pizza. Whenever I'm in town visiting family, Aurelio's is the first place I make a "B" line to when I get off the plane. The crust, sauce, sausage and cheese are delicious. If there was honestly a way I could have frozen it and taken some back on the plane with me, I would have.
Horrible. The pizza here tastes the same as it always has. Sauce way too sweet almost artificial tasting...not like tomatoes whatsoever. The cheese tasted like it had fillers. The veggie pizza was soggy and sad, soggy peppers, soggy canned mushrooms, and an overload of onions. The crust was the most edible part, but was still flavorless! Sorry for being rude, but this pizza was and still is one of the worst places....
Aurelio's Pizza has always been the gold standard for me. I highly enjoy their crispy thin crust. It's has just the right amount of buttery flavor with plenty of crunch. Their sauce is on the sweeter side, but not overly so. I've never been unsatisfied with a pizza, but my favorite is the Super6. (lots of meat and veggies) I also highly enjoy their vegetable pizza. In addition to the pizza, I've had a few other things such as antipasto salad and roast beef sandwiches, and I have always been satisfied. I've hosted several birthday parties here as well. We've always been happy with the service, food, and price. Overall a great pizza!

Very good breakfasts, pancakes, etc. lunch specials are killer. Sandwich and soup for $6 or $7- quite a deal and good quality food. Menu is extensive, but stick to typical diner fare and you can't go wrong.
Typical diner breakfast foods. Went for breakfast once with some girlfriends. The staff was super nice but, honestly, I make better biscuits and gravy (which is what I ordered). I wouldn't oppose to go again but it wouldn't be my first choice... or second... or third. You get what I mean. =]
Don't be fooled by the ancient out dated decor when you first walk in. I a.ways get the pancakes and strawberries which are very good. Don't know about the other food.

WE FINALLY FOUND OUT CHINESE restaurant! We've lived in highland for almost 2 years! We've been to China koon, Chinese kitchen, j pea pod, nothing ever seemed to be good, they were just all ah, ok. The smells alone smell so delectable! We ordered the Mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken with a large chicken rice ($24.xx). Wow! This was amazing! The rice was good not Great but I'm stuck to the cheap Panda Express rice!! But the chicken and beef! Whoa whoa whoa! I ate all of that before I touched the rice! It was GREAT! I was worried about the beef being too spicy! There's a kick but nothing crazy! (If you don't like spicy, I recommend). This is our new go to place for Chinese!!!!!!
Not really that good. They cant make a Hot and Sour soup to save their life. Poor meat quality in the broccoli and beef and overcooked. Never again...
I was kinda disappointed with the food. it wasnt bad but was not as good as i wanted it to be. my pot stickers almost looked kinda burnt. they tasted ok but i wouldnt order them again. the hunan pork was good but all in all the food was just sub-par.

TD....i think were are going to be good friends.....
The only reason I did not five them 5 stars is because over the phone orders tend to be difficult. Either your on hold for awhile or they repeat your order a million times and get something wrong. But overall this is the best pizza around. I love anything super cheesey and they lay on the cheese. My husband and I order from here frequently and they are awesome. Even if they make a mistake they make up for it with a soda or something. Love love love them. Even tried thier fried chicken and it was pretty good!
I never understand a small business and bad customer service. Their food is okay but I can go elsewhere for better... I dont wanna forget to mention there is another pizza joint right down the street if you're looking to support local businesses. Squigi's has really good food... they never diasppoint.

I couldn't find a thing about this restaurant online, so I decided to stop in today. So glad I did. The interior of the restaurant is pretty spartan right now, but the tables are decent and there are some surprisingly stylish booths along the walls. You can order at your table or go up to the counter, which is pretty typical for taco places. I say "taco place" as I categorize Mexican eateries into two categories. You have your kind like Jalapeno's or El Salto which have large menus with many entrees and your meat choices limited mostly to ground beef/chicken/steak. Then, you have your "taco place", which has much fewer items, but a TON of meats to choose from. That's what this place has going for it. Today I tried the al pastor (marinated pork) tacos and the chorizo tacos. I think they may cook the al pastor stacked on a vertical spit (common) with a pineapple speared on the top of it (not common!), slowly leaking its sweet deliciousness all over the meeeeeeeeeeat *drooooooool* oops sorry got off track there. But I could taste a bit of pineapple in with the pork, and that, my friends, was delightful. Anyway, the tacos were $2 each and a bit on the small side. If you're a big eater, you'll need at least 4 tacos. But the meats were terrific, the tortillas were lightly crispy at the edges while still being chewy, and the hot sauces had the perfect amount of heat. If tacos aren't your thing, their burritos and tortas seem quite reasonable.
First place here after noticing it a few times as I went to Subway. Decided to stop in for lunch, ordered and waited about 35 minutes. I had to cancel my order cause I only had one hour and had already burned 45 minutes. needless to say all I tried were the complimentary chips. I suggest they work on speed especially during lunch which is probably why it wasn't even half full.
I lived in San Diego for more than 5 years. After moving back home to Northwest Indiana a few years ago, I was on a search for authentic Mexican food in the tradition of the Southern California taco shops and restaurants. FINALLY, I have found one! Excellent food, great service.

Conveniently close to home, this is a great place to have dinner and catch a game or a band. Lake perch is yummy and my husband swears by the chicken wings. Rack of barbecued ribs was tasty, too. Only thing I haven't cared for is the pizza. Ordered plain cheese; price was great, but sauce had a strange flavor that put me off eating much of it. Will definitely be back, just not for pizza.
Ordered from here the other night and it took forever. After waiting, it was wrong. Upon taking my take out order home and calling to inform them of the error, I was told I was wrong and the cooks did not mess up my order. The two people I spoke to, one which was the owner, Scott, were VERY rude. Will never go here again and don't recommend it as there are too many other restaurants in the area to get good food and service from.
Good food and fun times. Wings are yum! daily specials too are good

We just went back two weeks later, everything still super, the cook at this establishment does a great job. This time we had guacamole, green enchiladas, and fajitas, and it was all outstanding. Server offered to refill the chips and salsa and was very prompt with the bill. We had a cozy booth this time instead of the big table by the window. They seem to have fixed the doorbell and music issue. We noticed they sell ice cream across the street by the bike trail, maybe we'll ride our bikes there next time.
I love being able to support local businesses... and this one is a gem. It was lunchtime and my handsome husband wanted some good eats. Mmm... it was so good! He got the pastor sopes and I got the chilaquiles with skirt steak. Umm... droolworthy. I mean... so good. Have I said that before? ^_~ So... they're in the need for more wait staff. If you're looking to get in and get out you should try this place when you have more time. It was obvious he was doing his best but he was just one man. I'm looking forward to changing my review to FIVE stars once this is situated. Ladies!! The bathroom was immaculate. This is such a big deal for me... especially in restaurants. It's pretty and it's clean and it smells good. Bonus.
It just open and they are working out the kitchen and wait staff but you can tell they are trying hard. Went in on a Saturday night and it was busy. I wrote my name and the number of people to be seated. No biggie. The wait staffed helped out each other trying to get drinks and food orders. It took awhile for the food to come out however they didn't charge for the drinks which was a few beers and bottles of soda. The food... Well I will be back again for more! The green salsa was great I am a big fan and its hard to find a place to have a good verde salsa. The red one was good too. The steak was cooked perfect not burnt or dried out. The menu is not the normal Mexican restaurant there is other things on it that most restaurants don't have. Prices are a little higher than most Mexican places. I will go back in a few weeks when they are staffed better because the food was well worth the wait.

I remember them always having really great service. Their food pretty standard.
Been eating at this restaurant for the past 12 years since we moved to Griffith, IN -- they have a dine-in so are slightly higher in price than the cheap carry-out strip mall restaurants, but their quality is much better than the other restaurants in the area in my opinion. I grew up on Chinese food because my mother was born in China and am picky when it comes to Chinese food. Family owned and operated, delicious!
My boyfriend recently moved to Griffith and we both like Chinese food a lot. This place was actually really good, just not as good as J's Peapod back home, but nobody can be better than J's. I had their General Tso's chicken and it was delicious and I usually hate it, so that's saying something!
