High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Waiter was nice. Food was great. This location is in the mall, so it was really convenient for shopping when we were done. Lots of fancy drinks to choose from. Plus they have unlimited fries now!

I really do love me some Applebee's. The Greenwood mall location manages to tempt us in every time. I am suddenly realizing my wife always conveniently parks at this entrance no matter where we're going in the mall. The restaurant itself is nice inside, but no more special than any other location. There is a bar in the center and all of the other seating is kind of arranged around the outside. If they seat you along the windows be prepared to eat with your coat on. The new menu seems like an improvement. I have to tell you though, I rarely get past appetizers at this place. It's not that they don't have tempting entrees. It's just that their appetizers are so tasty. Order the pub pretzels and beer cheese for sure. It's to die for. And you can dip whatever else you eat in beer cheese too. I ordered the brisket sliders and was less impressed. Not bad, just not great either. The spinach and mushroom quesadillas are very good, although a tad messy. Lastly, wonton tacos are worth ordering too. My wife had Parmesan and shrimp steak and was delighted with it. They actually cook your steak the way it order it here! If mixed drinks are your thing, they always have interesting options. And they are always well made, especially coming from A bar in a chain restaurant. I had the fireball lemonade which also had vodka in it. It was very good. Overall this place is too good to pass up if you're at the mall. It beats the hell out of the food court or the pretzel places, in no small part because you can't get fireball in your drink at Auntie Anne's.

Horrible service and extremely long waits. It took 20 min just to get a side salad then after about 40 min finally got my meal and the burger was hardly cooked. On top of it the place was dead so their was no excuse for the extremely long wait. I will never go to this location again

Everyone loves a bargain! Monday is "cheap" hamburger day at Applebee's which means you can get a hamburger and fries for $5.99 from 4:00pm to close. You don't get free refills on your fries but they aren't really good for you anyway. Ordered a well done hamburger because I don't like pink meat with the sauce on the side. I started eating my sandwich (which I cut in half) and noticed it was not done. I guess I should have opened the blinds to look at it before I took the first bite. Asked the server to please have them recook the hamburger. I thought they would probably put it in the microwave for a minute and solve the problem. Both of the pieces of the hamburger were returned on a new bun. It looked like they put the hamburger back on the grill and recooked it which was what I wanted but then I thought about it. How yucky is it to think that they put meat that I partially ate on the grill again. So, I decided I would not go back to Applebee's again because who knows how many germs are on the grill because of incidents like this. I will open the blinds the next time I get a hamburger if it is dark in the restaurant or use the light on my I-phone.

Great service tonight. This is by far our favorite location. This is a test store for the chain so they always have a new, hip and fantastic menu. Absolutely live the create your sampler - has been going on for a while and is perfect for someone like me who can't decide on one entree. Add their fabulous wedge salad and you have a complete tapas type meal!! And with $3.49 Long Island, margarita or Brewtus size draft M-F, affordable too ;)

Not the best. The food we ordered wasn't hot. It was warm. The waitress clearly dislikes her job. No smiles. Not extremely polite. The portions are pretty small. We got seated quickly but that was the high light of the trip.

I haven't had or seen an Applebee's in a few years as we recently just moved back to Indy. I'm never a HUGE fan of the place, but it was surprisingly good this time. I usually get the oriental chicken salad and saw no need to change this time. They do no offer it with grilled chicken as opposed to the fried. As I've plumped up a bit in the past couple years, why not get the more healthy grilled? The chicken was well flavored and cooked well. The salad was fresh and good in size as I remember it. I couldn't make my way through the whole thing.. but its a salad, no need to take it home. We did one of the meal things, so we got some boneless wings as an appetizer. The sauce was good and the wings were decent in size and plenty of them in the order. The service was just ok.. I didn't really care for our server. Overall, we will be back occasionally.. not an every week kind of thing, but every couple months is ok with me.

I was promptly seated with no wait on a Sunday afternoon which was nice, however they put us right next to a window. Which wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't so drafty. Had to keep my jacket on the entire time. Waitress was quick to take our drink order. A little slow on the food order but it's to be expected during the end of lunch rush. Ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer when they were brought out they were lukewarm at best. Food finally came. I ordered fiesta lime chicken husband had burbon street chicken and shrimp. My chicken was cold the rice was hard dry and cold. My husband however still won't stop taking about how good his meal was. His chicken was hot moist and still sizzling. Waitress never checked to see how things were or if we needed a refill. Hell we couldn't even find the waitress to ask for a refill, it's like she disappeared until it was time to take our money. I usually love Applebee's but I won't be returning to this location again.

It's been a long time since I've tried Applebee's but I heard they had a new menu so decided to give it a go! We started with the pub pretzels with cheese dip and I could've made a meal with just those!! Huge pretzels warm and soft with a wonderful cheese dip!! Yum! I went simple with the Cowboy burger and fries. The burger was great and fries - well they are pretty much just fries! But the burger was perfectly cooked and not too messy! Our server was very pleasant and not hovering but had what we needed with the exception of drink refills which seemed to slip his mind. I would do this again sooner rather than later! It was a nice meal!!

First let me start off by saying this. Prior to tonight I would have given them 5 stars, hands down. However, my review is solely based on my experience this evening. We arrived around 10:30pm on a Saturday night. Surprisingly they were not busy at all. The guy at the hostess stand asked how many in the party and proceeded to seat us. We were about to sit down when another server yelled at him that the section we were about to be seated in was closed for the evening. We were then moved to another table. We sat there about 3-5 minutes before our server even came by the table and took our drink order and appetizer order. When our drink were dropped off she disappeared again for about 3 minutes before taking the rest of our order. A few minutes later our appetizer came out, and they were just barely warm. Our food, on the other hand came out and was cooked well and tasted good. Our server swung by and asked how everything was before disappearing again until the end of our meal. As a result I ended up eating most of my meal without a drink. I also noticed 3 other tables being sat in our section and waiting quite a long time before they were even noticed and a drink order was taken. I don't know if that server was having a bad night, but she clearly did not care about her tables. Finally the manager came over and took the drink orders for the tables that were being ignored. When our server finally decided to come back to us she asked me if I wanted a drink refill. Really? No, I've enjoyed eating my meal without a drink. Anyway, she brought me a drink and asked if we wanted anything else. When the check was finally dropped off it was another 5-7 minutes before she came back to run my card. As I said in the beginning until tonight I've never had an issue, but I definitely do not want this girl as my server ever again.

Excellent and friendly service. We brought the young grandkids and they were entertained with crayons and word puzzles until food arrived. Awesome kid's menu, kids selected burger sliders and even a petite kid size sirloin. The double whiskey sirloins we're amazing as we're the ribs and chicken selections. We all enjoyed the fried green bean appetizer. As usual we didn't leave room for dessert.

i love this Applebees. one time i was having a bad day and they over cooked my steak, which is a huge pet peeve of mine and the GM happened to be there. he comped my whole meal and remade my steak meal and my boyfriends meal so it wouldn't be cold and he then proceeded to give us a $50 gift card just to ensure that we would return!! i have never been treated so good at any other restaurant.
