Tony Sacco’s Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We were all starving for pizza and decided to give Tony Sacco's a try. We are always on the look out for awesome pizza and have been wanting to check this place out for quite some time now. We walked in and they were pretty busy for a Friday night. We were told it would be a 20 min wait. Since the kids were starving I asked if we could sit on the patio (even though it was pretty cold) and we were taken right out to a table. Our server was really nice and greeted us promptly. After taking our drink order he even offered to turn on the heaters for the patio. What a seriously sweet feature. Once the overhead heaters were on... we forgot about the evening chill. We got some sort of rolls and a caesar salad for an appetizer. The rolls were super oily... but filled our famished belly's just enough to avoid a melt down :) The caesar salad was really good and we wished we had ordered more. The pizza selection was interesting and varied. We wanted to try some specialty pizzas so we got one that was described basically like a lasagna (ricotta cheese, italian meatballs, etc) and we got another that was hawaiian-ish with ham, bacon, and pineapple. The lasagna one was sort of bland. Once we added some salt and red pepper flakes though it was pretty good. The Hawaiian was a favorite. The bacon flavor popped through and the pineapple really balanced it out with a not too sweet and not too sour finish :) The best part (at least according to my husband) was the awesome beer selection. We each got a Zombie Dust on tap... which never happens... and he tried a couple others they had on the menu as well. Overall it was an impressive and enjoyable experience. We will be back again I'm sure!

Very good and fresh ingredients. Tried the Greek pizza and would order it again

As stated previously the sandwiches are awful. Loose ground sausage on pizza crust IS NOT an Italian sausage sandwich. Tried the pizza again- why? It was tasteless. There are much better places nearby. Barnabys, Bruno's. I even prefer the flatbread pizza at granite city to this cardboard. If you're going to have pizza in your name as well as an Italian first and last name- maybe spend some time on a recipe that tastes good. It's just thrown together fast food without any consideration to the culinary arts.

Delicious! The pizza is definitely my new favorite! Love their sauce and crust. The rotolis are soo amazing, great bread. The dining room is spacious and clean, with pretty decor and lighting. Definitley check this place out.

This place is great. The garlic rotolis are very good, just go easy on the oil, your digestive system will thank you later ;-) The pizza is so great and love that you can get roasted garlic on your pizza for even more great flavor. My only complaint comes as a new parent. For it being a brand new restaurant you'd think they could have put in baby changing tables in the restrooms. None to be seen and I hate having to lay my son on the floor or a counter.

Unfortunately, I don't see the appeal of this place. I had a wrap, and the chicken was like rubber...not edible. It didn't have much flavor either. They didn't charge us for it. My husband had pizza, and it was mediocre. I don't think we will be back.

Gladly giving them 5 stars. The only complaint I had was that they didn't offer sangria. Oh well. The pizza was great and the bread was amazing. Hot, soft, smothered in butter and Parmesan. Really unique food for around here. Love it.

Damn good pizza if you love thin crust. The antipasto is amazing. The sausage and peppers is also good. They have excellent service and are very attentive. Lots of parking. Perfect place for a family outing or date night. They have a nice wine bar. Pretty setting.

I am not really sure what the other people from their reviews on here are comparing this pizza to? I would rate it below pappa johns and slightly above paper and totinos frozen pizza from the $1.09 frozen aisle. First of all, like all new places in the michiana area, it is thee place to go. As soon as we walked in the door we were told that we could try to find a seat (ourselves) at the bar, not such a big deal but we were greeted by an army of servers? Don't ya think 1 of the 6 people at the server station could have noticed or been aware that there were no seats at the bar? Luckily, there was a small table for two and we didn't have to wait, we were prepared to wait because we were not in a hurry and it was busy and new, so waiting is to be expected. So we lucked out by getting a table so fast. The server asked if we would like any drinks, we asked what they had on special and/or on tap. She didn't know, so we asked if they had a drink menu, she said they didn't (not a big deal with no drink menu however She told us that we were more than welcome to go up to the bar and check out what there was on tap and that there was a sign with the specials listed as we walked in the door to check out?) really?? Isn't that the servers job?? the fact that our waitress had no problem stating that she was new and wasn't sure what they had for drinks and that we were more than welcome to walk up and check things out...well...lets just say, that didn't start things off well. So anyway, we ordered our pizza, a small size veggie, prices for the food were lower for the area it was located and the place was busy (only cuz it is new) they had a ton of staff, but no manager noticeable? or at least not one that wanted to be noticed? the people in the kitchen seemed happy, well i think they had to be, everyone can see them in an open kitchen. The staff, even though they apperaed inefficiant and very poorly trained, were nice, just not attentive. we waited about 10 to 15 minutes for our charcoal grilled veggie pizza to come to us. that was very fast and it was hot. It looked promising and fresh, and I did have an open mind for a new pizza place that is opening in the old uptown kitchen (that moved to another plaza) place just behind the failed Gino's east. Anyways, it now looked promising, however, when in a pizza place and they put Italian seasoning as a condiment on your table?? well.....RED FLAG!! .again it looked promising, until we took a bite. the pizza sauce was as bland ...the crust...although nice and crispy looking, was bland until the last bites...which took a turn to the end crust being all burnt and charred...and as i looked around the dining room I notice that all the other peoples pizza were the same...so the surprise for blandness is to give you burnt as your last bite. our bill with 2 craft (bottled beers) that the person didn't know were bottled til she brought them (cuz we asked if it was draft or bottle) , was about 25 dollars...not a bad price...if the quality would have been better. however, it fealt like highway robbery due to the poor quality, and i think this is their standard. This place lacks that "wow" factor that will be needed to sustain for more than a year...which is about the amount of time I give it before it closes down. anybody reading this and thinks that i am too negative make note and notice that when you come back in a year, it will closed...don't be surprised by that because you will say..."i was just here a year ago?" it offers nothing that will make you want to go back, all it has now, is newness. In a month or two you will see a half to a third of the staffing as well as a half to 2/3rd less of the customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I instantly had my wife text and call her friends that told us about it to have their meds checked. She reassured me that they had not eaten here yet. so she warned them, as I am doing now to all of you yelpers! :)

Ingredients where fresh, crust was ok. There are several better pizza options in the area. The seating was horrible, tables to close together, the 2 seating options where next the the bathroom or next the the entrance. The bar seating seemed ok. The service was tolerable, young kids mostly. For a grainger restaurant I was hoping for a more high end pizza experience. Carry out would probably be a good option.

This was my first time at Tony Socco's. This was not our first choice but the nearby restaurants had long waits. The girl at the front door welcomed us and asked if we would sit at a table in the bar. We sat down and the server came quickly. They have a wide variety of beers...but we were bummed they were out of Zombie Dust. I was happy with the beer we decided on. We ordered the BBQ pizza to share. The medium size pizza was a good size for two people to share. The pizza was ok but very dry and a little over done. Our server never came back to ask us how it was or offer another beer. We asked for a box for leftovers and the check. We waited at least 20 mins for the server to return. He was busy refilling drinks at the bar. Overall- I'm not sure I will return but if I did I would order a salad or sandwich. Upside- they have Zombie Dust on the beer menu! It might be a good place to just have a beer.

Just add me to the list of delighted customers. The Chicken Barbeque is easily my favorite, but all the pizzas are good. Half price Thursday is crowded, but worth it if you're on a budget. Friendly and helpful staff.

Came here again. Love their pizza. First, we called to make sure it's not busy. They said "No were not." When I came in the restaurant was busy. It was a Thursday which means it's busy and can't make reservations. What's lame is they opened the outside and... No one gone out there. My guess to you is... ITS WARM! MAKE IT OPEN! When we got served. We got our drinks then the appetizer. We ordered our pizzas. Then our pizzas came out about 35 minutes. It was served! The pizzas! I ate a couple of slices then quoted the eating until tonight. It was good though! When we walked out. There was someone out side eating! What?! Who put them there! But it was almost a 2! "It's not COLD! Why did you put them outside! AUGH!!!! I'm raging now!"

Good happy hour experience. The vibe was bright and cheery and the staff was upbeat. The manager came out and checked in with customers. And the pizza was amazing. We had the Capo and were very happy with our order. I'd recommend it.

Thin cracker like crust, fresh topping, and that coal fired oven really makes a difference. And the beer list? Something for everybody.

Tonight we had wonderful meatball lollipops that were so good I could have made a meal of them and would have been very happy. The pizza was super like every time before. Keep up the good work.

they lose stars with me because, when you order beer on tap each beer is assigned to a glass size ??? with varying prices.. can I just have the beer I want in the size glass I want without the algebra equation because "that beer costs this much but only comes in the 8oz glass. if you want it in the 12oz glass I will charge you for 16oz but you don't get the other 4oz" .. come on guys, when you come right down to it... IT'S BEER !!! you're making money on it.. one price per glass size, not formulated according to type of beer.. we quit going there because of this.. the food isn't so great to make me overlook all that

Solid pizza, just a little cold in there because of the oven

My husband and I had dinner here for the first time last Friday evening. We had about a 20 minute wait before being seated in the bar. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful. That bar was comfortable, the pizza was tasty and the beer selection and pricing was excellent. All and all, our dining experience was very good. One caveat, the dining room was open and noisy with no booths. It was fairly early (about 7) when we were there and it was full of families with young children. So if you are looking for a relaxing venue, either sit in the bar or come later in the evening.

Some friends said they tried this place and since I LOVE pizza I wanted to give it a try. The hostess was very nice and server was very helpful with suggestions. I read many reviews stating the garlic Rotolis were amazing so I ordered them. They came out in a huge bowl of EIGHT of them - see pic - in the bottom of the bowl they is olive oil, garlic and basil sauce. They were good but too much for one person or couple especially if you plan on ordering pizza. Wish they would offer a smaller size I ordered a personal pan pizza with sausage and mushroom - see pic - I would have to agree with others - it should be cooked a little longer - a bit soggy The toppings were ok - Italian sausage didn't have much flavor The only complaint is that I ordered the bread and pizza and both cane out very quickly - if I order an appetizer I would like to eat and not be rushed. Give it a try -

Gave it another try and were so glad we did! Pizza and rotolis were delicious but more than anything the service was great! Our waitress was attentive and quick and our food came out really quick. We will definitely be back soon!

This has become our family's go to place for pizza, take out or dine in. Service, at least all the times I've been there, has been excellent even on busy nights. Having actually been to Italy I can say this for me is the closest I've had to the pizza you get there. The crust is not paper thin and also not super thick, which is what a pizza should be. Also it all comes down to personal preference but the amount of sauce is perfect as I don't like my pizza drowning in it. The best pizza by far, in my opinion, is the Capo which is their sort of "signature pizza" but also good is the Margharita. We have been here many times and plan to come back many more.

I love, love, love this place. The pizza is divine....so much so that I've never tried any other main dish. The rotoli's for appetizer: also yummo! Every time I've dined here, we've been seated immediately without a wait. Can't complain about that! Also, the staff we've had (coincidentally all fellas!) were fantastic and not just to look at! Rawr! Excellent service. I would've 5-starred this place, but alas all they offer by way of spirits is beer and wine and I don't like either. If they ever get a cocktail menu, I may have to move in!

We decided to try Tony Sacco's for Granger restaurant week - they were offering lunch for two for $15. The lunch special included the garlic bread (swimming in garlic oil and seemed to be microwaved - the long they sat the chewier they got), Caesar salad and choice of personal sized pizza or sandwich. The Caesar salad was huge with fresh, crisp romaine and a good dressing. I opted for the small pizza and was disappointed. The crust was soggy and definitely needed to be cooked longer for a little crispness. The sauce was pretty good. My husband opted for the sausage and pepper flatbread sandwich. He enjoyed it, but it was surprisingly served without sauce, but was better he requested some sauce to go along with it. Service could have been better, especially considering the place was practically empty - servers were just standing around the counter rather than checking on the few tables that were occupied. For the money, you can't beat the deal they had going for restaurant week - there was enough food to easily feed four people! We love pizza, but there are several local places that are much better than this chain so we wouldn't go out of our way to go back.

We love this place. The restaurant is always very clean. Their staff is Excellent (ask for Caleb!). We have ordered most everything and never had anything bad. Food is always fresh and gets yo the table fast. Do yourself a favor and try it!

  • Robert A.

Wow what can I say if you like wood fire pizza this is the place to go very friendly and family atmosphere. The craft beer selection is out of this world 7 pulls and one domestic. The craft bottle selection is at least 30 or more. A place to visit.

  • Rob W.

This visit was a while back before we moved, but I am trying to get caught up and having recently passed by another location brought back memories as to how horrible this place really is. The service was ok not great and not bad, just ok; you know the kind that wouldn't keep you away from a place but wouldn't pull you back in either. The garlic knuckles, knots, sticks, or whatever they call them were horrible. I remember no garlic flavor just butter. The pizzas were hot, which is a plus, but the crust was doughy to raw and they weren't cooked all that well. The combinations were interesting and somewhat unique for the area, but it just fell flat. If you want Brick Oven pizza you are better off hitting the South Bend Farmers market on the weekends, they have a traveling pizza oven that puts out better pizza.

amazing beer selection, great pizza, chill atmosphere, plus Thursdays you get half off pizzas. yum!

  • Benjamin R.

Tony Sacco's has become a carry-out standby for us as well as an occasional dine-in choice. The pizza is probably the best I have eaten in South Bend thus far: the crust has just the right amount of chewiness with an ever-so-slightly charred edge thanks to the coal oven, the slice is never over-sauced or over-cheesed, and the toppings are consistently fresh and delicious. I recommend trying the specialty pizzas to start with. We enjoy the Marco Polo (tomato sauce, chicken, sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes), the Vegetariana (caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet peppers, and zucchini) and the Margherita. The 12" pie is enough for two meals, in our experience. You can also make your own pizza, choosing from a nice variety of meats and veggies. Also try the house salad with chickpeas and olives. However, steer clear of the garlic rotolis appetizer: you might be fooled into thinking this is garlic bread, which should be crunchy and pack a garlic punch, but these are actually doughy dinner rolls with no discernible garlic flavor served with a limp basil dipping sauce (the gf wanted marinara). As befits a Michiana restaurant, Tony Sacco's also offers a pretty good selection of Michigan beers (Bell's, etc.) Service has never been anything but cordial and efficient.

Burnt crust, no one brought us plates or silverware. I had to get up after the pizza was served to get my own. I wanted to like it because of the closeness, but was disappointed with everything.

I was visiting southwestern Michigan at Christmas time. Called up from Michigan to find out about Tony Sacco's selection of fine, craft beers. Took a road trip and found myself visiting the Grainger restaurant and bar at lunch with an awesome pizza, beer tasting and great conversation with the managers. This place HAS to be the friendliest place on earth. Came away with the best experience and a case of one Indiana's finest craft beers to take back to Philadelphia for my collection. What an excellent way to top off the Holiday season! I'll be back!!

  • Kim D.

We LOVE the pizza here!! It's out favorite and we prefer to order out. Service is average. You'll pay more than Pizza Hit but you won't leave feeling sick. The seating is open, which makes it a little loud. Family favorite are the garlic rolls!! Yumm-my!!

  • Rachel Hopkins K.

Tried this place for the first time just last week. I noticed there were some poor reviews on here with themes of poor service and undercooked dough, but we decided to give it a chance. We experienced neither of these complaints. We had a great waitress and our food was out quick! We started with the garlic roll thingies (that you dip in the olive oil). They were out in under 5 minutes and were tasty. I ordered a personal size pizza and my husband ordered a calzone. These were out in probably another 10 minutes, even though the restaurant was probably half full. My crust was definitely cooked properly. It's a thinner crust, which I like, but if you're a thick crust person, I'm not sure if they can accommodate that or make them to order. Either way, I really liked the crust. They put an appropriate amount of toppings and cheese on (not too much, not too little). The sauce was just OK, but I still enjoyed the pizza a lot. Also the price was reasonable. All in all, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely go again!

I have been excited for several weeks about trying this pizza after it being talked up regularly by the folks who work in my office. Upon arrival we stood at the hostess stand for almost 3 minutes before anyone sat us. There were at the time 3 tables with customers in the restaurant and with visible wait staff standing around talking this was a very off putting front of house mistake. Our waitress, once we were at our table, was quick to arrive, helpful and performed great. Her service was a highlight of our visit. We ordered a Caprese salad and the Aloha pizza for lunch. I regret to say the food was entirely underwhelming on this visit. While the mozzarella cheese in the salad, along with the other components, were plated very nice the cheese was both somewhat dry and very bland. The balsamic vinegar that we had to ask for (this should come with it) tasted very much like the cheap stuff at your neighborhood grocery despite the fact there is a Olive Branch store very close by that could provide a balsamic of a taste matching the caliber this restaurant purportes to be. Our pizza arrived only a minute after our salad which made us feel rushed and at this time they placed the check down also, making us feel as if we would be posiibly not getting much service the remainder of our visit. The pizza itself certainly had a very nice smokey note to it lent by the advertised 1000 degree coal fired pizza oven they use. We found however the pizza was very soggy on the bottom. I believe if they served the pizza on something perforated it would help this problem that was obviously caused by steam trapped under the pie. The sauce we could hardly taste due the fact it appeared practically non existent. All in all it was a nice looking and presented pie lacking flavor. The texture of the edge crust however was very good with a nice crisp outside and a chewy wonderful middle. With a few tweaks and more attention to greeting guests this could be a great pizza experience but as it stands on this reviewers opinion of his visit, absolutely mundane in a town with plenty of dining choices competing for our hard earned dollars.

Been here numerous times and I've ordered the margherita pizza each time so I can only comment on that. Obviously I love the margherita pizza, great mix of mozzarella slices, basil, and red sauce on a thin crust. My wife enjoys the white pizza. Service is good, not the best, take out is already ready in the time given. 100x better than Barnaby's, I'll never understand why raw crust, cheap ingredients, and bad service wins the hearts of patrons.

  • Kori E.

Everything was excellent. Definitely get the rolls with parmesan and garlic butter, probably my favorite part of the meal. The wings were super good as well. Pizza's are thin crust and cooked in a coal fire oven..yum! The service was excellent! Great addition to Mishawaka!

Came here with my family about a week ago. Service is pretty good, even out on the patio. Pizza was tasty, though we didn't go for anything fancy; just pepperoni and mushrooms, and onions on one half. (Not mine!) Crust is good -- you know how you can get crust where you don't want to eat it all? Yeah, I ate most of my crust, though I wussed out at the end. I regret that we didn't feel like we had room for appetizers -- my stepmom kept raving about the rolls or garlic bread or something. I kind of wish we'd done that, but we were happily full without being too full, which meant we could still go grocery shopping after without groaning.

We passed by here looking for a spot for dinner while in town and decided to give it a try. While initially put-off by the idea of coal-burning ovens (what is this, a Charles Dickens novel?) it was suprisingly smokeless inside. The place was PACKED at 6:45 on a Saturday, so we sat in the bar at a hightop. (Come an hour later, because when we left, there were only about three tables with people seated!!) I got an order of the rotolli's to start - not realizing how huge these were! It's like eating an entire loaf of bread before your pizza (more bread). I dried each off of the oil that was all over the bottom of the bowl and scraped off the grated cheese and thought they were good. We got a small sausage pizza and the husband was thrilled with the very small amount of cheese on the pizza and crust. I was not impressed with the sweet-tasting sauce and thought the crust could have been crispier - it's a 1000 degree oven and you cook them for 4 minutes - take one more minute and give me some crunch! I did love that they had gumballhead on tap and the meal was very inexpensive for all we had. Wish I had room to try the strawberry shortcake, but more bread and I would have burst. We also learned that you can get fresh mozzarella on any pizza for no extra charge - not our thing, but good to know.

Sooooo close to five stars. Maybe in another month or two, once they have the service issues figured out, it will be. All in all, a good night out. Pricing was extremely reasonable, and I love the non-conventional pizza toppings available. This is a traditional, Italian-style pizza - no gloppy cheese & grease here! The garlic rotolis that everyone is raving about are fine, but probably won't order again. Not all that special. Also not much in way of wines, either by the glass or bottle. Pizza was amazing, but only order what you can actually eat in the restaurant. This is one of the WORST re-heating pizzas I've ever had. Don't plan on taking any home! Service: meh. Our waitress was nice, but she seemed very overwhelmed. It took a long time to get drink refills and our pizza took much longer than those of the tables around us. Definitely worth another try, but I'll give them some time to work out the kinks first.

This place has damn good pizza. It's a fun, wide open atomosphere. Their garlic bread is like rubbing garlic flavored suntan lotion on Monica Belucci. I had to fight my son for the last one. The little punk threw a crayon at my lazy eye and snatched it from my prying hands. The only complaint, very minor, is that there is not a good waiting area when they are busy. My son was trying to climb the host stand and I had to choke slam him twice. The pizza is a thinner crust style, but don't tell my Chicago friends that I eat this stuff. The sauce is great and looks to be freshly made. Good beer selection and with any new restaurant, they seem to have a few growing pains. But the food is good enough and well priced enough to overlook. Can't wait to head back. Edit - Was back this week and they put some seating in the waiting area. The service was attentive and even better than the last visit. The food was very quick, even though it was busy. Keep up the good work!

Great pizza. We just got back from NYC yesterday and were hungry for one more taste of the city. We saw the reviews and thought maybe people here just didn't know or like NY style pizza. We were right- this is as close as you're going to get to the real deal around here. It's NOT Chicago style so it's not "filling" and it's NOT Pizza Hut thin crust so it's not crispy. It IS NY style foldable coal oven pizza and it's great. On the down side our son didn't care for the meatball sub so I can't go 5 stars but I would give 4.5 if I could. Go here and love it....we did.

First visit. Saturday night. Small party of 3. No wait for a table but place was packed. Casual and lively. Friendly and attentive service. Pricing was very reasonable. Roasted wings were sooo yummy. Marinated and roasted in their 1000 oven.. crispy skin. House Blue cheese was delicious. We had the medium Capo pizza and loved it. So different from other styles.. thin crispy crust with a nice thin layer of tomato sauce and mozzarella.. pepperoni and italian sausage with roasted onions and mushrooms. Yum! Reminded me a little of my time in Italy. Unsweetened ice tea was good.. tasted perfect even when some of the ice melted. We were too full to try the house special strawberry shortcake but it looked good. This pizza was worth the carbs in my book... but it is unique so maybe not for everyone. I say give it a try.. you may discover that you love it too.

Take the majority of these reviews with a grain of salt. I've eaten here several times and my experiences have varied. The Ritolis are really pretty good can b oily for some or maybe too garlicky but Italians love garlic so deal with it. Every time I have been I've never had soggy crust. The pizzas are on the thinner side which I don't mind. As for the actual taste of the pizza it's decent. Will it knock your socks off? No. Is it better than pizza slut, dominhoes, and poopy johns. Definitely. They are quick, full bar, decent wine selection decent service worth a try.

So after my prior review the owner sent me a gift card to try the place again. We went tonight. It was a solid 3 star experience. The pizza was flavorful. I did not feel the need to use the garlic, red pepper flake or oregano they have on the table. The crust was better, but not crispy how I would personally like it. However it was not chewy and blah like last time I went. We also had the antipasto salad. It was huge and very good. Over all I would say it is a descent place to go. There is other pizza in town that I personally like better. However I think Tony's will stay around.

  • Martin P.

We have dined here several times since it opened. Each time the service and quality of food has dropped. Tonight was the breaking point. I'm not sure how you can so badly mess up an anti-pasto salad, but it happened. We asked for the salad minus tomatoes, which must have meant put extra tomatoes on it. They brought the wrong salad dressing for the salad brought the entree prior to the appetizer. The food quality has plummeted. The kids calzone could have served better as tile. The kids cheese pizza came out as a calzone. When we mentioned it was wrong the waiters response was, "it's just like a pizza folded in half". Overall very disappointed.

Waited 45 minutes for a dry, lack luster, tasteless veggie pizza. very little cheese, miniscule sprinkling of veggies. No spices: we added parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder ourselves to make it edible. IT WAS SO DRY and tasteless I don't think we'll be back ever. As is usual in places that don't serve quality food, they had a number of distractors (TV sets with sound turned off and no closed captioning --even outside!!!-- , loud music so people had to shout, rude servers, etc. etc. etc. New name for restaurant: Tony Sucko's crappy pizza.

Have tried once on a super-busy Saturday night. Our group of seven had to wait 30-40 minutes for a table (no reservations here), but there were no complaints among us. The pizza-style here is my favorite--high-heat thin crust pizzas in the Neapolitan or Neo-Neapolitan style. I only know two other places in the area that attempt this style: Venturi in Goshen and Stop 50 in Michigan City (both of which use wood ovens rather than coal). All are great. Stop 50 is my favorite. This one and Venturi are neck and neck. One thing that sets Tony Sacco's apart is its capacity. I am amazed that they managed to make such solid pizzas with their rather large house literally packed with people and waiting people. Sometimes when a place is that busy, especially a new place, I just leave, because it's hard to be on your game under such stress. But this was a very satisfying dinner. The pizza come out with some nice charring (leoparding) on the bottom crust, and the toppings were all "tops." Update: Came a second time for lunch and, while the pizza flavors were still on spot, the pizzas themselves came out a bit too cool, even though the place was not particularly busy. Could be a one-off service issue, and it won't keep me from trying it again.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
