This is my favorite place to eat in Goshen, I only ever get their pizza but its oh so good! Its like $5.35 for half a pizza which makes the perfect lunch, I eat this twice a week, my only issue is they don't accept CC's which is ok cause more than likely its how they keep their prices down and avaide the IRS, just kidding. Also it would be cool if they were open for lunch on Monday and Tuesday since I work downtown and there are very few options within walking distance. Also their building atmosphere is really nice.

One of my favorite places in Goshen. If you haven't been here it's a MUST! You can smell the delicious baked goods and what they are having for lunch right outside, before you even walk through the door. Rachel, the owner makes and bakes all the bread herself. Most of the bread is baked in the woodfired oven which gives the bread a wonderful outside crunch and soft pillowy inside. She makes different breads on certain days. There are sourdough breads, loaf breads (like whole wheat honey or oatmeal) and speciality breads. The bakery does not have any gluten-free bread. Since Rachel was born and raised in Belgium she has mastered how to make the perfect croissant. She makes chocolate, almond or butter croissants that are available daily. On Saturdays (the most busiest day of the week at the bakery) there is a bigger selection of pastries, ranging from pecan rolls to spinach croissants (both of which are my personal favorites). Not only is this place a bakery it is also a cafe. The food is as natural, local and organic as possible. The Farmer's Market is right next door where they get most of their produce. Everyday the lunch menu is different. You can read the menu before on their Facebook page as well as their hours. The staff are very friendly and look like they are having a lot fun. On Saturdays they have two tip jars, each one with a different question so the customer can vote and some times the staff dresses up into different themes, just for the fun of it. This place is an experience in itself. It's very relaxing and you feel like you are in another country.

We stopped in for coffee on Saturday morning. They were VERY busy. We were traveling and needed to get on the road, but I had read good things on Yelp and wanted to give them a try. The line was long and moved S-L-O-W-L-Y. It is obviously a local hot spot and everyone wanted to chat when it was finally their turn to order. This tends to be very annoying when you are in a hurry, but seems to be typical of local joints. If you have time and feel leisurely, it's a nice place. Don't go on Saturday AM if you're in a hurry unless they open a second register dedicated to people who know what they want and have money in hand. The coffee was hot and they have several varieties to choose from. I ordered the chocolate croissant. It was good -- not the best I've ever had but not the worst either. My husband had the blueberry coffeecake and enjoyed it. If we're in the area again, I don't think we'd go back, but everybody should try it once.

Delightful. Rachel makes the best bread around by hand every day and serves a great, fresh lunch, too. There is also dinner some nights, but I've never been able to go in the evening. Her shop is connected to the Goshen Farmer's Market. The food is fresh and imaginative. Menu is different each day and you can check Facebook to see what she is serving up.

I love Rachel's! The croissants are perfect and sometimes they even have them with bits of chocolate in them - the perfect french breakfast. The chocolate tarts are also super amazing. The sad thing is that they close by 1:00 and the food runs out even earlier, so get there quick or I'll have to fight you off for the last croissant.

Best coffee in Goshen, to say nothing of their baked goods which are fantastic.

Ride your bike down the Mill Race and end up at Rachel' Bread for brunch. On Saturdays, the fresh breads, facaccia, and croissants go quickly--so get there early. This is the kind of place that makes Goshen a pretty cool small town to live in.

Food: natural, real, wholesome Dishes: healthy, thoughtful, spiritually nourishing Value: excellent Style: casual, homey, quaint, converse and turn off your cell phone Variety: There isn't a huge menu. You receive an unique daily offering planned by Rachel herself. I have never been disappointed! Notes: Self serve for breakfast and lunch, full service for dinner Sometimes Rachel's is closed, especially around the holidays when I am in Goshen. Check to see if it is open before you go. Specialties: bread, baked goods, pastries, pizza from the brick oven, "from scratch" meals featuring an entree, a salad, a soup, and a sandwich daily. Evening meals three days per week: 3 course dinners plus desert for around $20! Most Importantly: Rachel's is one of my favorite restaurants on earth, and I have eaten food from some of the most-highly rated and the most expensive ones in our dear country. If you are ever in northern Indiana, it would be worth it to find out if Rachel's Bread in open and if you can arrange to have a meal there. Rachel is a wonderful lady who lovingly prepares food; it is her calling. She gives back to the community, supports local movements to improve health and quality of life, and is an individual who supports slow food, green living, and local sustainability. Her restaurant adjoins the market which is open on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Breakfast sells out early. Rachel's goal is to remain a small cafe serving local people.
