I had such high hopes for Big Daddy's BBQ, I mean after all we traveled all the way from Chicago to Indiana to taste BDB. I truly wasn't that impressed! Then I didn't know until I was almost finished with my meal that they marinated their meat with pineapples and I am allergic but I never thought about asking either. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and I even seen the owner but didn't want to bother him...there were many awards around the restaurant but unfortunately the food wasn't worth the long drive!

Smokey, tender rib tips with chucks of pineapple. We stopped by after driving by many times in the past. Nice places and we will be back to try some sides. The tips themselves are good but the sauce is interesting with an Hawaiian taste. The seasoning is really good!

Big Daddy's was once my favorite hang out spot! I will never travel that far again for the poor quality of the food that I received this pass Labor Day weekend. I ordered a large rib tip at $11.40 and a large hotlink at $11.80. I spent a total of $24.82 for a large chopped up tips with mostly fat n bones. The meat was so chopped up so small to give the customer the impression that they had food. The links were not fully cooked with very few fries. Believe you me this will not fly with serious foodies! I was very disappointed! I wanted to return and give them a piece of my mind! My spouse stopped me n said don't waste the gas traveling back there. He also reminded me of other places right here in my own neighborhood (Ribs N Bibs, Kenny Ribs and 4 Little Pigs) that would love to have me as a customer. Just cut it up as a loss!

Called a day earlier to pick up a pan of tips for a party. When we got the pan it was half filled. Basically there was one layer of tips that could have fit in a large bucket for much less. Wasted my money. Ended up going to the store to buy more food for my party. Have ordered from Big Daddy's for years but I won't be patronizing the store again.

Good barbeque just placed an order ask for a small jerk wings they told me you was 6 wings only received 3 wings cut in half so that's false advertising I didn't like that. No more jerk chicken from Big Daddy's for me I know other places I can go for jerk before BBQ I still go if I feel like dealing without the attitude the real jerk joints you can hey a while chicken for $12. I just paid $6 for the damn 3 wings cutting have some fries what a rip off

Today was my 2nd time at big daddy's, the 1st time I ordered the turkey tips special and they were a little dry but I love the sauce. Today I got the 8 wing with extra sauce and it's great! I'm from Chicago so I'm use to I-57 Rib house and Harold's chicken but Big Daddy's will suffice while I'm in Indiana.

First time at this place. Heard a lot about this place both positive and negative, but had to try for myself. Went on a Tuesday and the Special was a Jerk Chicken and fries for $1.99. Thought it was a great price, so I ordered 4 of them for the family. Jerk chicken itself could have had a little more jerk seasoning and tasted a little old,but still ok and wish they had given me more fries than just 6 fries with in each order, but it only cost $1.99. As my wife reminded me we did have their jerk chicken before at a friends house and it did taste fresher at that time then this time! To be very truthful I really did like their BBq sauce...it reminded me of the old chicago Mumbo sauce I grew up eating but a little sweeter. I also ordered a small order of Gumbo and it had a good taste to it and very meaty...keep this one up! Service was also good!

I think we found the best BBQ restaurant in North West Indiana. The place was full during lunch. I ordered the medium rib tip and hot link combo. This was a perfect size portion. The Bbq sauce was different. It had a sweet and spicy taste. I really enjoyed the Bbq. My wife ordered the Turkey Heaven Tips. Of course, I tasted this awesome BBQ turkey tips! All I have to say is WOW! Great BBQ in NWI. I truly recommend this place. Enjoy! We did! #SeñorFood

I ordered the half rack of ribs, a hot link sandwich and some chicken wings for my wife, food was fantastic, the decor of the restaurant was a little lacking and the food to about 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen. The quality of the food made up for waiting so long, I will definitely call ahead next time

Ribs are awesome!!!! They close to the ones I have had in Las Vegas at Ellis Island!!!! The Mac an cheese was good. I did not like the fried green tomatoes. If you are in the mood for great ribs be sure to stop on to dine in or carry out. They have daily specials and can't wait to try other meats!!'
