Definitely a college town bar. You'll mostly find all the college kids here late hours during the weekends and sometimes it can get very packed to the point where you can barely move. Their food is amazing here for bar food. They have great dinner options and great drunk food as well to soak up the alcohol! They are always friendly and fast! I love it here!

When I walked in to the pub I was very surprised and my expectations went up really high. The potential to have a wonderful time is all here. The bar is really old school and ornate. The brick walls and wood work make you feel like you went back to a secrete bar from 1920's. I'm not a beer snob by any means but there just wasn't much selection here. Now the food has been good everytime I tried some. The tenderloin was good as well as the burger I ate on another visit. My friend said he enjoyed his food too and the nachos we shared were very well dressed. My main reason for not enjoying the bar were not because of the typical things bars get picked apart over. I honestly just couldn't get into a good conversation with the staff or other patrons. One old man I was getting a decent conversation started with was only getting take out so it was short lived. It may be the area or just the people here but I like going to a bar and feeling welcome. The staff was polite and courteous, just not what I'm use to. I could just be going on off days. We shall see.

We were in Franklin for an Association for Gravestone Studies Conference and THIS is the Best Bar in Franklin. We went two nights and the first night there were three of us, we laughed we had Bloody Marys and they actually drove us home! Second night there were 8 or 9 or us and $3.75 Long Island Ice Teas.... and I realized want a beautiful woman made the drinks and how happy I was to be there, in fact taht life was really good. It was like college at 50.

This place continues to have consistently good food at a good price! And since my last post they have added a few local beers! Yay!

Definitely the "college bar" in town, when Franklin College is in session you're shit out of luck if you want to find a seat on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. The service is great (gotta love Karen!) and the popcorn tastes like heaven. There are also drink specials every day of the week which is nice. My only complaint is that it is a very small bar and can get very crowded.

We had gone hopping through old-town Franklin for my birthday, and I was pretty inebriated by the time we crawled to Jeff Street. From what I remember, the bartender was really nice and chatted with us for a while. The bar itself was clean and full of mostly twenty-somethings. My only complaint is that they allow miners until a certain time. I go to a bar to drink and talk with my friends, not to watch my language around someone's kids. This is the only thing that keeps me from frequenting this fine establishment. Later at night, it is a great place!

The food is extremely good, not tipicsl "pub grub" at all, they have Guinness on tap and Karen Duckworth is the owner / operator, nuff said! :)

As far as the bar scene in Franklin goes, this is about as good as it gets. The servers are fantastic and many of them have been working at Jeff St. for years. There's a reason, the environment of Jeff St. is super friendly and as long as you are not sitting right next to the jukebox, you can hear yourself and your friends talk comfortably in a bar setting. The food is pretty top notch as far as bar food goes as well. The tenderloin along with their loaded nachos is enough for me to think about loading up on insulin. Overall, friendly place, great atmosphere, and above average bar food.

Jeff Street Pub, at one time served the best wings and pizza in the city of Franklin. Bad service and bad attitudes have ruined this once great spot. We went to Jeff Street, hoping to share Jeff Street with out of town guests. The service was exceedingly poor. The food was served sporadically, meals were forgotten and when we complained, the kitchen manager more or less told us we have no right to complain and decided to add insutl to injury and insult our group of 14, including visitors from England. It's a shame...they embarrassed us and they embarrassed the city of Franklin. We will never be back.

I have missed the Jeff Street Pub since I have moved. I never had any of the food there but I loved the drinks and atmosphere. The jukebox and the service is great!
