This is what Yelp is all about - finding foodie treasures you would not have found otherwise, especially when traveling. Worth making your way to this local staple. Outside seating only. You may remember your milkshake and sweet potato fries until the day you die. Fried pork tenderloin sandwich may not stick in your memory that long, but is crisp and delicious nevertheless.

I went on the recommendation of family that live in the area...Got a banana/peanut butter shake...Tremendous! Then I ordered a pork tenderloin slider, and it was so good! Stop here! It is delicious!

I remember coming here when I was young. After a day of playing at the TPA park, my mom would take us out for ice cream cones. Happy memories! I wouldn't order food here, just ice cream or drinks. The food is just junk like hot dogs and stuff.

The ice cream is good, but the food is run of the mill, processed junk. The only food i would recommend is the sweet potato fries. I feel that if they would take the pride in their food as they do with their ice cream, they would be outstanding.

I've never ordered a meal here, but the blueberry milkshake is top-notch. My wife and I go here whenever we're visiting her parents. Can't go wrong with any of the ice cream selections. Just a classic Midwestern summertime drive-in / ice cream shop.

You absolutely must have a breaded tenderloin! These are the best in all of Frankfort. The Milky Way is also known for their fabulous Diet Vanilla Cokes. They make their own vanilla syrup flavoring, and I love the very finely crushed ice.

Ice crea It ism sandwiches tacos coneys gyros meat loaf Drive up or walk up and eat in your car. Just a few blocks north of the main highway through town, The Milky Way is waiting for you to visit. The menu is large for such a small building. This is strictly a order and go type of restaurant. Of course they have ice cream, but they have all sorts of sandwiches including tacos, coneys, gyros and meatloaf to name just a few. If you driving through Frankfort and are the least bit hungry or thirsty, you owe it to yourself to go to this place

The Milky Way is a Frankfort staple. I want so badly to give it a 5 star, but the reality is that sometimes (a lot) the service is REALLY slow and the prices are pretty outrageous. With that being said, there is hardly a time that I am back in Frankfort that I don't stop by. I love the vanilla cokes & rootbeers, the tacos (with house-made taco sauce) and the flurries (my personal fave is Oreo & cookie dough mixed.) The ice cream is really smooth and good. I suggest you have lunch or at least dessert here if you're in the Frankfort area!

A trip to my homeland of Frankfort is not complete without a stop (or two, or three) at the Milky Way. Aside from the fact that it is has been a staple in Ffort for easily over 50 years and it brings back great childhood memories, it is still a must whenever you are heading through town. Milky Way is now open year round and has a drive thru to satisfy your cravings! I have literally seen a line in the middle of winter so I'm clearly not the only one obsessed! Favorites include: a diet vanilla coke (complete with real syrup and made even more amazing by the best crushed ice on the planet), the hot/spicy tacos are small but great, breaded tenderloin, mozzarella sticks, blueberry milkshake, tangerine twist cone, and the strawberry ice are all wonderful.

Growing up in Frankfort and working nearby, Milky Way has been a great little dessert and food stop for as long as I can remember! As a kid, I'd walk a mile from my grandparents' house just to get a tangerine twist (soft serve tangerine sherbet) - it's THAT good! As a kid, dessert was my main focus - let's face it, that's pretty typical! I have had lots of their ice cream dessert items, and I've never been disappointed! Now, as an adult, I have tried more of their dinner/main course items. Their tacos are FANTASTIC. I am pretty confident they make their taco sauce in house, and you can get tacos made mild, medium, or hot. My delicate taste buds are selective with spiciness, so I always err on the side of mild. It's yum-o! Now, tenderloins are practically a state food of Indiana - well, at least of Clinton County. I have definitely had my fair share. So it's pretty easy to find tenderloins on a menu in the area, and Milky Way is no exception. I've had it a few times, and I have to say it's not my favorite tenderloin. It's good but not great. Its taste seems to vary by the day. Sometimes it's seasoned well (with salt), other times it's bland. Consistency would do it well, but at least it is generous in size and usually juicy (not dry). In all, I love this place and will definitely continue to frequent Milky Way when in town - just will skip the tenderloin for the tacos and tangerine twist!

Tacos are great, we tried the mild and hot, liked them both. Vanilla coke, and tangerine Ice cream, as well as a Reese cup flurry. Worth a visit.

I have been enjoying Milky Way for more than 30 years. In my opinion it's one of the cornerstones of Frankfort, including Case Arena and the football stadium. It's where you get to see your neighbors. The food is typical for this kind of place, it tastes great and the ice cream and vanilla Cokes are the icing on the cake. Most of the time the service is pretty fast but it can get busy. Say hello.

I give this place 5 starts simply because the fries are amazing! I always go there for them and have to order atleast 2 orders because they are that good! Totally recommend the fries and also the strawberry ice
