Like their sign says "Booze, food and pickled stuff"! We started with a round of cheap Pabst in the can and pickled cabbage and eggs. It took a few minutes, because Bill is a one-man army, doing everything there. I ordered the highlights of his menu, the "Macedonian Special" and his nachos. The Macedonian Special is a pork burger with 23 spices. It is served with cheese and a piece of pickled cabbage on a hearty roll. The nachos have a scoop of meat and cheese on every chip with sour cream, homemade salsa, and pickled jalapenos on the side. You won't leave hungry. We left a good tip and Bill gave us a toast with an after dinner apertif. It's a dive bar in the hood with fantastic booze, food and pickled stuff.

Wendy, I will fall to your feet always. You introduced me to the most beautiful thing I have ever had the pleasure of trying....the JBC! Oh, how I love thee. Square patty, orange cheese, floppy bacon, mayo. My life changed forever the first time I tried the JBC. I should downvote a star for upping the price, but I just don't have the heart. Marry me, Wendy.

Reviews:
Do NOT miss this little gem in Ft Wayne. Others told me I would be sorry if I did and they were right. Only open weekdays though! Google this place and watch the haunted house seekers video of strange happenings before you go and you'll love it even more. Beautifully kept historic home turned soda parlor with lunch as well. Ask the owner for historical details as he purchased the home directly from the Pfeiffer family. House also used in the film " in the company of men". We also visited famous soda shops like Arnolds and the Magic Wand, both outside of Ft Wayne, but Pfeiffer House was best tasting hands down. Try the egg cream. We also had frosticcino and banana ice cream soda. You can really feel the history here. Original canvas walls, woodwork, etc. Private events held in the attic space which was amazing just to see. You will not find many laces like this in the U.S. Anymore. Don't miss it.

Only place open on Jefferson after the play. AWESOME Whisky Wednesday Specials! Our tour of Guys & Dolls dropped in with about 20 people all at once, and the crew handled all of us with aplomb. Drinks came out strong and fast, food was delish...especially the Tex Mex Rolls! I will totally come back if I'm in Fort Wayne again!

Ok... so here is the deal. I like small, yummy, authentic Mexican places! If you are looking for a small hole in the wall that concentrates more on the product than the Sombrero's on the wall come here! So good I ate here twice in one day! If you want chain Mexican food this place is not for you. It is not better than authentic, it is authentic!!!! YUM!

Pizza Hut

10080 Illinois
Fort Wayne, 46804
Reviews:
I haven't been back up to Fort Wayne to see family for awhile, so it threw me for a loop when, as we talked about ordering pizza, I found out that the old PH location farther east on Illinois was closed and that this was the new go-to on the block. But oh well, what's the difference? Turns out it's a good difference. We placed an online order and I left a bit later to pick it up here. Upon arrival I was informed that one of the pizzas had experienced some problems in the oven and they were running a new one through at that moment. I was impressed that they cared enough about their product to make a new one when the other wasn't even that messed up. They could have easily passed it off as fine and I never would have known the difference. Seriously well done, guys. So, Fort Wayne traded in an old location that was hard to get in and out of with too little parking for a take-out only location, complete with drive-thru and a great staff to boot? Seems like a more than fair trade to me. I definitely know where we'll be ordering from next time I'm in town and craving something from the Hut.
