Good food, good service, well depends on who you get, there are two male servers that screw up my order every time, once one of the servers lost a debit card of a friend that was joining me for dinner here for the first time. He lost it and actually said, "was I your server?" (talk about a terrible first impression for him) ... But if those two guys out of the mix I love this place, I don't know what that dude was saying about fatty meat, all of the steaks I've received to date have been great. The rolls are the best around, just keep em coming, I've been to roadhouses in Texas, South Carolina, and this one by far is the best. I try to go here when I can, just great.

Went there on a Tuesday evening @7:00 p.m. Party of 4. No problem with seating as we called ahead (only waited for about 5 mins after check-in). We placed our order which seemed to take longer than normal to arrive. A different waitress than the one who took our order brought out some of the food first and we had to remind her that was not all of our order. She then went to get the rest of our order. We had to ask for rolls (which they normally bring out first thing). I ordered a combo with steak and ribs. I ordered the steak medium well. The ribs were burnt and the steak was charred/extremely well done. My wife ordered the steak kabobs and hers was pretty much burnt too. She ate hers but I asked for a replacement steak which took until our meal was finished before it arrived. Literally already had the to go boxes before it came and just dumped it in the boxed from the plate. This was the first bad experience I've had here. Hopefully it will be the last.

Can't go wrong in this place, food is good love their steaks and that reliable ambiance. I love their dinner rolls. Servers are very friendly close to a bunch of hotels.

The Country Veg plate is my favorite! Your choice of four of their good homestyle sides, a real bargain at $8.99. And the appetizers rock, Rattlesnake Bites and Cajun Horseradish sauce!

I called 3 separate days to place an order. I tried all of the menu prompts and no matter how long you hold, no one will answer. They advertise take out ordering and call ahead seating, but don't answer for either. Save yourself the hassle. Go elsewhere. Plenty of good restaurants nearby.

Ok. Typical busy chain restaurant located next to every hotel imaginable. Nothing special but a decent safe place to grab a bite while on the road.

Texas Roadhouse is our favorite place. The service is outstanding. We always ask for Rachel to be our server as she is always looking out for us and knows what we like when we order. The food is wonderful and I only had a tough steak once and the manager took care of that in a hurry.

A chicken sandwich and a side of steamed veggies to go kind of saved me here. I was on the road the night before Thanksgiving and had few options. The food was okay... nothing I'd jump for joy about. The take out order took almost 30 minutes to get ready. That's a bit surprising as well. The service folks working the take out counter were super nice.

It's ok as far as chain restaurants go. Went with son and daughter recently. Ordered grilled chicken salad. It was huge. Literally a meal for at least 2. Bread and cinammon butter is always good. Peanuts not bad. Service was very good. Server was nice pleasant and attentive. Would go back at some point ......or at least consider it as an option for chain eating.

I avoid the one near my house in Wisconsin but stopped here with a salesman for dinner as it was near the motel. As with the one back home, this one was very busy however we only had to wait a few minutes. We both ordered the steak and it came done nicely however the taste left a little bit to be desired it could've used some seasoning I guess. However for the price it was a good deal. I like the novelty of peanuts. I see no reason not to come here and believe that I will try the one back home now.

Food is always great but their customer service needs a lot of work. When you first walk in and they act like you're a nuisance they don't even look you in the eyes they just asked how many do you have they're finally when they gave us a table it was in the bar and the waitress came up and asked us for our IDs I'll let her know we didn't ask to be sat at the bar they just set us there and she said everybody had to have IDs or we had to leave so we got up and left. So I won't go back.

Eh. The best part of my meal was my caesar salad and the rolls. Ordered half slab of ribs and it was the equivalent of about 1/3. They were lukewarm like they were made hours ago and tossed in a microwave. The fries were extremely salty. The waiters/waitresses were asked to sing happy birthday to the party next to us and they refused to because the guy was in the bathroom for 3 minutes and they didn't want to wait. Our waiter was nice, but I forgot his name. Chubby with glasses. If I ever pass through Evansville again, I won't eat here, sorry

This place is amazing. Never once had a bad time or meal here. My wife and I are always looking for somewhere new to try, but we always find ourselves coming back to TR. We are both fried pickle fanatics and have eaten them all over the place. Until discovering them here bdubs has always had the best. TR fried pickles blows bdubs away. I usually order sirloin and bbq chicken with a Tall mug of bud light. If you are searching for a great steak do yourself a favor and try this place. Also the service you receive there is always excellent. Never had a bad experience there. The one and only negative thing I can say about TR is the wait times are ridiculously long. We have waited up to almost two hours for a table of four. The wait though has always been well worth it..

Favorite steak place in Evansville. Their signature sirloin is better than many filets I've had. Use call-ahead seating because they're busy (for a good reason!)

I had dinner last Thurs. and i had a free meal coupon and placed my order. The manager, Matt White, needed to approve my coupon and at first wasn't going to honor the coupon. I guess he didn't believe that i had received it legally because it is good for any dinner and he only wanted to deduct $9.99. I have been to other Texas Roadhouses all over the country and regularly at St. Louis location. Never had any issues before until trying to use the coupon in Evansville. Besides having to be confronted by Manager, Matt White, the steak was not seasoned at all, and for a bone in ribeye, it was very tough. I'lll take another chance when I am in the area, but hope I don't have to be confronted again by Manager, Matt White, who was not very friendly and lacked customer service skills.

Servers are always pretty ok.. About every 3 times I can get my food right, when I order rare I mean that's what I want not to get something that's way over cooked. When a ticket for a rare steak is hitting 15 min a manager needs to be asking questions

I had dinner here and ate at the bar. Jill was the bartender and was good. It was a Wednesday night so it was kind of slow. Ordered a salad, wrong dressing. Ordered a filet rare and it was actually done almost to perfection.

If your looking for Ruth's Chris this isn't your place. If you just want to eat some peanuts, fair piece of meat and drink a standard beer, you will like Texas Roadhouse.

I am (was) a regular customer of Texas Roadhouse. Last night, I attempted to place a carry out order starting at 8:48 pm. I can't imagine the restaurant was slammed near 9 pm. I was on hold (in queue) for 6 minutes. I then hung up and called back and tried the call ahead seating option thinking I might get through that way. After 1:45, someone picked up then hung up the phone, clearly not wanting to be bothered by a phone call. I called back 5 more times and spent a total of 26 minutes (not including the first 2 calls) continuing until 9:45 pm. At one point the phone was answered and I could hear a person talking in the background for a minute or more then the phone was hung up. I finally reached someone and, at this point I was rather mad (understandably). I asked to speak with a manager. I was placed on hold and no one ever returned. I will not return. I can only hope this is not indicative of all locations. They clearly have problems at this location. I have a phone log showing what I have explained and have offered that to the franchise. I'll see if they're interested enough to follow-up. I do not want any coupons or discount cards as I will not use them. I ended up going elsewhere which is what I will do in the future. I am a business owner & I know I wouldn't be in business long with service like this.

Food was okay but the server needs to by fired - kicked out. Worst service I have ever had - so bad we will NEVER go back! I should have left a tip of a coupon for Burger King for her but I think instead I gave her 5 bucks. Short of the horrid service it's the last place for a good steak. But everything else is fine.

It was a fun place and the food was OK. Our waitress was no bigger than a minute and getting married in 21-days! She was adorable. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini which I think was a first for them, but it was delicious. Then I had one of their famous Margaritas...yummy and strong. I had a hard time finding something to eat other than salad as not much was vegetarian not even the vegetables - LOL! All in all solid.

We didn't have to wait but about 5 minutes which is great for a Friday night. The server was good. We both ordered prime rib. It was 5:30 and they only had one piece left. We split it, so dinner was pretty cheap. It was not the best, but still not bad. The sides were all very good.

Meh. A national chain steak house. Whats to say thats different from the others? Not much. My salad was horrendous. Croutons were soggy, and the greens weren't chilled. My medium sirloin came out well done+++ so almost hockey puck. What saved them from a one star was our server was a polite girl who could take my group of roughneck guy's jokes like a champ.

Like others, I will agree this place is "OK". While I had no issues with my ribeye, I could easily whip up this steak at home. When we dine out, most expect something more than what we can cook at home. I did see someone send a steak back, because it was over cooked, so i suspect you will be rolling the rice when eating here. Bartenders are very good, nice friendly crowd at the bar, I had a good time and will go back, since it was so close to my hotel. Plus I was on expense account, so it was free for me anyway :)

Service was great. Beer selection is decent, but that's about all I can say positive about this place. I know this is a chain and had lowered expectations, but was still underwhelmed. Their "hot" boneless buffalo wings tasted like they were dipped in vinegar rather than an actual wing sauce. Also, I need convincing that the entire meal wasn't cooked in a microwave because that's certainly what the food tasted and looked like.

I like the atmosphere of this place just because it does look cool with random animal faces and characterized portraits of country music stars, NASCAR heroes, and down home celebrities. However, the atmosphere doesn't elevate the food (well maybe a little). Leaving out environmental factors (factory farming) from the discussion, this place does have decent tasting meat. However, I too have experienced the steak with an overwhelming fat to meat ratio. It seems to be a problem at this place. While the managers were very nice, the reoccurring issue gives the impression that this "authentic" steak house is relying on the ignorant to push crappy meat. After all, if most people won't complain it means more business. Also, their slogan "great steak, deserves great beer" is a little ridiculous when you pair a fillet with a blue moon. I laughed a little, then I got sad. Your great steak might deserve mediocre beer because it is too fat to care, but the rest of the world is going to reserve the right to give Great Steak a Bordeaux. I would not search this place out. However, if you are in a bind, they are fast.

I have never had a bad experience here. The steak is the best in town and other homestyle favorites are great also. Great amount of food for such a good price!

I think that the food is mediocre at best. Nothing really stands out as my experience has been. I could have been there on bad nights, just not very impressed.
