It was pouring down rain the day I went to Outback and got a to go order. The curbside service was great. I ordered Prime Rib. The steaks were perfect. The sides were also good and the bread is to die for. The service was fast and efficient. Outback is usually were I go in Evansville if I want a good steak and consistent service.

Horrible from the start! Hostess was a totally snob aka b***h! My date ordered medium well steak came out bleeding off the plate. So the server replaced it, no problem. The replacement came out burnt to crisp looked like they took the bleeding one and threw it back on the fire! At that time I'm sitting there trying to be polite and not eat mine since my date still had nothing to eat, so of course mine was cold. The manager did take the steak off our ticket which she should've bought the whole meal. At least the bud light was cold

This place used to be fantastic but not so much in the past 4-6 months. We used to go here nearly every weekend. I would have Prime Rib and my girlfriend would almost always have filet and lobster/crab. With little exception the food was fantastic back then. On the few occasions it wasn't they took care of things. Things aren't that way anymore. We've been twice in the past month and both times were bad. The first time they were all out of crab/avocado appetizer they had on special at the time. Food was so-so. my girlfriends crab was so dried out it might as well have been seafood jerky. We complained about the crab and they brought out more without checking any further; the vibe I got was they knew it was bad but served it anyway. The last time was on Labor Day. We went and grabbed a booth in the bar area at the hostess' recommendation and it was a solid 20 minutes before anyone waited on us. When we got the food it was just fine, but nothing spectacular. Most of the staff has turned over. All but a couple faces are new. There's a new proprietor (manager) now. On the bright side it's not nearly as crowded as it used to be so you can get a seat quicker, but it's just not the same as it used to be.

In from out of town? Looking for a great place for steaks? Maybe a tall frosty one! Well grab it here. Locals seem to enjoy this place just as much. As you'd expect weekends and holidays are some of their most busy. The menu is great, there something for everyone. Kinda pricy but still a sure hit for dinner or luch.

My favorite place to eat. I'm never disappointed with the sirloin, a blooming onion, and Ahi tuna. The employees do get shitty with you if you come in a hour to closing time.

I just had dinner here on an early Monday night. I was dining alone during a business trip and decided to sit at the bar. The place was moderately busy and the service was below average at best. I had some conversations with the other bar patrons who shared similar feelings. The food was decent but there is no excuse for poor service when the place is less than half full.

Friday night evening out, decided on OUTBACK and the lot is full...this is gonna take forever to get a seat...well wouldn't you know it that a 20-25 minute wait time that ended up being less than that! Amazing that the hostess worked to get everyone seated in a timely manner, by asking if we would like a table in the bar area. After ordering the food our salads were out in no time. Drinks were refilled promptly and everything was great. The food was excellent and no complaints! If you have never had OUTBACK I recommend the Tangy Tomato dressing for your salad! EXCELLENT food and service!

Well here we go. Slow Sunday night. Friendly hostess. Smiling server. Very efficient. Went easy. Burger and fries. What a shock. The burger was fair. Dry. Decent taste. The fries were warm and mushy. The fries were replaced quickly with hot fresh fries. But no seasoning. My water glass was allowed to go empty. Not cool. All in all sub par for an outback. Did I mention one of the servers was sweeping up and singing to the overhead music. Loud and off key. Won't be back.

In town for business, our group of five had a less than memorable dinner here. Not Outback's finest location for sure. Slow service, an indifferent server, so-so food and a large unidentified foreign object in the mashed potatoes......we won't be returning to Outback anytime soon.

So so...I had the chicken Caesar, way too much dressing. My husband had the filet and lobster, (Oscar style). He said it was good, not great. Crab and avocado dip is consistently good...chips are always fresh. This is one of our date night places, so will go back.

It's been a while since we ate here, and so decided to try it out for our Wedding anniversary. Experience sadly was pretty poor. We started by making a difficult request. I have a 7 year old who's very fussy about steak so we asked if there was a child portion of Fillet we could order. They were happy to work with us and offered us a full fillet meal, and would allow us to choose just one side dish instead of two, and would deduct $2 from the bill. Not a great saving but we were happy they were willing to work with us and went ahead with their offer. Ordered Drinks, Starters and main courses. Bar drinks were really slow, approx. 15 to 20 minutes, and the milk shake for my daughter was even longer despite multiple prompts to our sever. Starters came out, delicious. Main courses came out, my daughters fillet (which we got for $2 less that a full price) was approx. 1/4 inedible gristle. I couldn't even cut it up. And there was a mix up with my order which was missing a side. The manager came out and offered to cook a new fillet, and would also chase up and find out where my daughters milkshake order was and my missing side. Within the next 10 minutes I finally had my last component of my meal, and the milkshake finally arrived Approx 1 hour after initially ordering it - (Also delicious so I was told) Shortly after followed a new fillet meal for my daughter, this time... perfect. To be fair, we got where we needed to get to in the end, and when everything was fixed, the food was really good. But the slow service and mix ups definitely do not justify the $100+ price tag we paid, and for a special night out with all the other choices of restaurant in and around Evansville, I highly doubt we'll be coming back any time soon.

I'm in town for business and The Outback never let's me down when I am looking for a safe but good place to eat. I walked in and the hostess was talking away with a server and I had to wait a couple of minutes (I'm not talking moments here - approximately 120 seconds - long time when your standing there looking at them - try it, you'll know what I mean) before I was seated....keep in mind, they were not busy. I don't mind waiting but acknowledge your customer and let them know "hello, it will be just a moment". Needless to say, that was the only hiccup during my dinner...My server was awesome, my drinks and food were out very quickly, the enviornment was welcoming and warm...and most importantly,...the food was great. I had a salad, steak, and shrimp.
