Love this place always a bit crowed but that just goes to show everyone loves em. I always have kids with me and they are so accommodating with them and my 13 yo is funny about beef and fish and asks 20 questions and they are patient as can be. We always get an amazing meal. If ever a problem arises the manager is right there to make it right.

Recently used the carry out service. I was not impressed, after being on hold for 5 minutes I had to hang up and call in again to get someone to take my order. Once I arrived for my pick up, I had to wait again to pick up the order and pay for it. I felt they could have done a much better job, especially since I was calling in before the dinner rush hour.

Brought my family of five here and it was by far the worst experience we have ever had at an Olive Garden. It was not busy at 1:30pm when we got there. We were told 10-15 min wait but it was not even half full. After 10 min the hostess sat us at a table that had been empty since we arrived. Out of the 7 tables in the section, only one table of 4 was full, and a table of two had just left. Our waitress came and took our drink orders, then the hostess brought them to us. When our waitress returned, she took our order, then brought us the salad and breadsticks. She asked if we wanted cheese on it, but not how much, but that was ok. The kids just have always liked telling them when. The salad had very little dressing and several pieces of dark, wilted, slimy lettuce, which I picked out. She brought a refill on drinks for me and my son, but never offered one to my husband or the two older boys whose drinks were empty. When our entrées came out, she put them in front of us but didn't offer cheese on any of them. My boys just looked at me like what??? I told her they would like some grated cheese. Then my son said, "Mom," and pointed to his food. He said, "Taste it." I did and it was gross; the pasta tasted rubbery, like it had been cooked, but then reheated under a lamp. The waitress was still there as well as the manager who helped bring the dishes out, so she offered to get something else. He ordered again. I tasted my ravioli, and it was NOT hot and fresh. The sauce had even started to separate and break. This was the same for all the cream-based sauces at the table. Just not creamy and smooth but more like curdled. My other son's Shrimp Alfredo, a kid's meal, was rubbery too, and the waitress didn't ask what side he'd like with it. My husband had ordered the Portabello Pasta. Though the dish was hot, his cream sauce was separated and the noodles were clearly dried out and sticking together. My son's 2nd choice was Lemon Chicken. The grilled chicken was delicious, but though the noodles were cooked properly, they were drenched in the lemon sauce and so sour and tangy as to be inedible. The manager looked at all our dishes and agreed with me that the sauces were separating and not smooth, but only took my husband's dish off of the bill. Our waitress also failed to ask my husband and son what dessert they'd like with their "Two for $25" meal until after she brought the check. It's pretty obvious the staff was stretching the food from whatever lunch rush they had, cooking only what they had to and reheating other items. We felt like almost an afterthought to the people presumably there to "serve" us. After several hours on the road, we had all gone in very hungry, but not one finished their meal. I'm extremely disappointed with how we were treated.

I've been here before and it has been like any other Olive Garden. Came tonight as date night and the only good part of this experience was waiting in the bar for our table. After that things went down hill and very little corrective action was taken. 35 minute wait for a dried up piece of jerky that they try to pass as Filet Mignon. It dude end on a positive note of our meal being compensated. Still wish I could have a hour of my life back.

We love Olive Garden! The salad and bread sticks are amazing with our meals and our meals are always enough to take home leftovers. Great food and a great staff! Love the wine samples. Why not 5 stars? They took away my husband's favorite meal that was popular, the spicy sausage. Why would they do that when it was a hit?

I have a friend in Elkhart, and every time I visit, he somehow talks me into going to this restaurant. And every time I go, I typically end up shitting blood for the next three days. Here's the thing: Olive Garden used to be a cheap place to eat, and get sub-par American fast-food imitations of Italian food. I can almost live with that. (Well, my stomach can't, but I mean on a moral level.) But for whatever reason, probably because of 20 years of people saying "that's as Italian as an Eskimo in a loincloth", they have suddenly decided that they are "really" Italian. They push their wine more, they offer wine pairings, they claim there food is much more authentic and complex, and the bottom line is that it's pretty much impossible to get out of there with a very basic spaghetti and a Coke for under about $12. And that's $12 Indiana. Add some bruschetta to start with, and a side salad, and you're up to about $20, without a wine or dessert. And this is in a restaurant that's franchised and is about ten seconds from being a Taco Bell Express in the airport. In comparison, there are at least a couple of "real" Italian places (Bruno's, Colombo's) that would sell you a damn good plate of spaghetti for less than $10, and it wouldn't taste like it was invented in a laboratory that also designs radial tires. I realize that in a part of the country where Wal-Mart is king and Pizza Hut is fine dining, people might be having wedding rehearsal dinners and graduation parties at Olive Garden without thinking twice about it. And if people want to send their hard-earned dollars out of state while the town around them collapses into recession, that's pretty much their decision. But I thought I should post a bad review first, before someone else posts a five-star and claims this food is just as good as what you'd find at a four-star New York restaurant, because that simply isn't true.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
