Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

My husband and I were hopeful that their change in name (used to be Pizza King in Danville over by the hospital) and their change in location would be enough to improve their pizza... but we were mistaken. We ordered breadsticks, spaghetti, and a pepperoni pizza. The breadsticks were the highlight of the visit and weren't too bad. The spaghetti was so-so. The pizza... I can't say enough bad things about the pizza. It was SOOOO greasy that about half of our 14 inch pizza was inedible. It was soaked in grease and would drip when you picked it up. The crust on the inner pieces was about 1/8 of an inch thick... and we did not order the thin crust pizza. It was just shrunken because of all of the grease. It was awful, just like it used to be when they were pizza king. On to the service... our waitress was quiet but mostly adequate. She was the most friendly when we were checking out and mentioned that the pizza was greasy. She took our phone number and gave us a "credit" on our account. I'm not sure what that means, but I won't be using it, since we won't be back there any time soon. The male server seemed nice to his customers and greeted us when we came in the door. However, a girl who I assume was a server (she was dressed in black unlike the others) was behind the counter and was eating pizza, as was the male server. I understand that you get hungry when you are working, but I think it's pretty gross to be eating in view of the clients when you're supposed to be working and serving food. This girl stood around and talked almost the entire time we were there, one time sitting down at the bar area with some people. I get it, you're teenagers and you don't want to work, but I doubt the owner of this establishment appreciates the image that you are presenting for his business. I really hate that this place is so close to where I live, because it would be a great place for my family to go and eat. Unfortunately, the pizza is still terrible.

After seeing the reviews I was nervous about eating here. My friends raved about the salad bar though so we thought we would give it a chance. It was only so so. The salad bar was very fresh and kept clean. I ordered the $16 drifter which was 2 drinks, 2 salad bars, and a 2 topping pizza. The pizza was at best average and greasy. I saw the fries that came w the kid meal and they were the frozen kind and completely burnt. Not very impressed and over expensive for the quality of what you receive.

Since they changed from Pizza King, I think the pizza has gotten better. They make an excellent pizza.

Ordered boneless wings and breadsticks for starters. Both very good. Deluxe pizza for our meal. Plenty of cheese and toppings. Waiter was very friendly and we love the price. Good relaxing atmospere.

Relatively new place in Danville - I think they are a bit confused as to what type of place they are. I think they are trying to be family-friendly, but they seemed to really promote the beer selection. Large windows allow for customers to see out and everyone from the street to see in as well. Had a bar top with stools but they were uncomfortable to sit at, so I moved to a table. Not a good selection of lunch specials and no soup =(. They did have a salad bar that didn't look too appetizing. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich that was decent. Overall, not too bad, for Danville that is.

This is a great neighborhood establishment that offers pizza, wings and salad bar along with Sun King Brewery Beer! I try a different one each time we stop in!

We love this pizza place in our town!! Whether it be dine in, carry out, or delivery we are always happy with the food and the service. Because my husband is a vegetarian, we often get pizzas loaded with veggies. Our most recent favorite is the "Island Hottie" without pepperoni (and add onions). The crust is pretty thin and always crispy on the edges, which I love!! The sauce reminds me of Pizza King's sauce. We like the salad bar and other items like the breadsticks and wings, too!! I would definitely recommend this place, and it always feels great to support a local business!

I enjoyed the salad bar. Everything was fresh and made the pizza experience more enjoyable to be able to add in salad bar items. They also had pudding for dessert on the bar for my toddler. The pizza was very good and the bread sticks were a little lacking for my liking, but I like ones with a crisper outside than most. Will definitely go again.

The food is consistently good here. My husband and I love the barbeque chicken pizza and we normal argue about who's going to pick it up so we can sit and have a beer while we wait. The young kids working don't always seem to know what's going and are normally pretty frazzled, but they're always very kind. They do offer delivery, but the past couple of times we ordered it was going to be 1-1.5 hours.

This was a nice find in a previously unexplored area for me. Imagine my surprise that they serve Sun King beer. What goes better with pizza then Wee Mac?!?!

Pleasant small town sports bar $ pizza combo. Better than current rating. Loves the BBQ sub and fries. Decent pizza and salad bar. Parking in rear. Small outdoor dining area.

I like how bright it is because of so many windows and how it sits above the road. Staff isn't always the friendliest, but a good slice of pizza makes it worth pushing through.

This place is a good change of pace from a normal pizza joint. Unique pizza combos, boneless wings are really good as well. Had a group of 32 tonight and they seemed to handle it with ease...as long as you call ahead.

This is the best dine-in pizza in Danville, and likely the westside of Indy. The dine-in service has been great and their delivery service is exceptional as well. After you call in a delivery order the first time, they associate your address with your phone number so you do not have to give your address every time you call. Their pineapple and banana pepper pizza with BBQ sauce is excellent!

Local establishment. Pizza is similar to a pizza king pizza, thin crust crumbles pepperoni and sausage. Excellent fresh salad bar. Breadsticks and pretzel sticks are amazing. The servers are always great. Local Sun King craft beer available. This is definitely worth a stop.
