I lucked out on a trip home that my uncle decided to take me to one of his favorite spots for lunch. This awesomely snug place is beautifully decorated and feels kinda like a place you can call home once you walk in. The staff knew my uncle by name and were so friendly. I ordered their spaghetti (called something far fancier than my brain remembers) and asked if I could have one meat ball added. Oh my goodness was this delicious. The sauce was a perfect blend of spices and not overtly saucy creating each noodle to have a kick of flavor. The meatball was a salty surprise that was so soft to cut with a fork. The pricing was excellent and I hope to go here again, because it was so good!

Alberto's was recommended to us by a local Stayed in Corydon all day just to eat here but it was worth it' The prices were a little bit higher than we wanted to pay but when we got our food it was well worth it the Bruchetta was delicious the ceasar salad was amazing!! The entrees were by far the best Italian food I have ever eaten!! Don't forget to order dessert!

As good as any top Italian restaraunt I have eaten at in NYC, Chicago, or Louisville.

We had eaten at Alberto's in their previous location, so we knew to expect good food. We were delighted to see that the new locale has even more ambiance than the previous location and that the food was just as good as we remembered. Come hungry, portions are sizable, but not overwhelming. I had the Chicken Florentine, which was rich, cheesy and flavorful, with a touch of lemon and slight zing from feta. My companions both had marinara based dishes, and the mariana was well-crafted, tasting of ripe tomatos, herbs and cheese. The prices are reasonable, they are building what looks to be a promising wine list. I highly recommend this delightful spot--take a date, take your mom, take some good friends!

If you are anywhere near this quaint small restaurant and do not stop to dine then you will have missed one of the best dining experiences you will have had. This Chef knows Italian! Great meal!

Have been here twice and both times the food and service have been outstanding. I have lived in the area all my life and this is truly a great addition to the community and a real hidden gem. The dining room is small but don't let that scare you. This is fine dining quality food in a casual setting. I had the filet with shrimp and you could cut the steak with your fork. I have also have the Bolognese pasta and it was awesome..... I don't give out five stars often. This one was truly earned. The food is as good as any fine dining restaurant across the river in Louisville.

I stopped by on a Fri evening. wife and I had two standard entrees.place offers no hard drinks and very limited beer selection. very limited appetizer with prices around $8-10 for cheese bread? I took the advice of the waitress/owner(I think) and order some kind of pork entree in a white overly doused mustard sauce. my wife had something like chicken Alfredo. I got two small pork portions, 2 slices of potato and 3 asparagus shoots for $18. no salad no free bread or any other included sides. my pork was very tough and possibly under cooked. my wife's chicken Alfredo was spot on and seemed like an adequate quantity but was priced around $16 for pasta and some sliced chicken with standard Alfredo sauce. ambiance of the place was so confining it was almost claustrophobic The main reason I give this a low rating is that this place is not down town Louisville where real estate prices will push the overhead costs up which need to be recouped in menu prices. The food was good but at least double the price one would expect in Corydon IN-no offense to the locals of course. Service was very friendly and wait time was positive also I was given the bill and had only 3 choices on tip. it was automatic on the electronic receipt. All in was around $45. I left hungry and a little grumpy but hey one less place to try again.

Good food and service! I wasn't particularly hungry so I wasn't as enthusiastic about my food as my colleagues. My colleagues really enjoyed their dishes (Mahi-mahi and chicken Marsala). They loved the zucchini appetizer and the bruschetta. I would definitely recommend this place to other visitors to the area.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
