We like to ride our motorcycle with friends to Jefferson Street. Sometimes they run out of menu items, but you can usually find a good substitute. The cornbread is delicious. I usually go for the chicken or beef brisket wrap. I like their BBQ sauces but that is very individual. If you like cheesecake, they have quite a few, including a bacon one! Generous portions mean you could have leftovers for lunch the next day. Parking on the street but you don't have to pay and the street is wide. All sides are good and Hoosier-style, complimenting the smoked meats. Service is great, and always helpful. If you like BBQ, this definitely is a stop to make!

Very quaint and inviting restaurant awaits you in the heart of Converse, IN. The service was very good BUT the food...that's what you want to go to Jefferson Street BBQ. I passed on the appetizer, really wanted to try the BBQ. My wife had a meat and greens salad and was very pleased with the chicken, salad was excellent. I enjoyed The Jefferson, two meats and sides. The pulled pork was excellent with a wonderful smoky flavor and the brisket was all that has been reported. Baked beans and slaw...and the jalapeno corn bread was sweet with a slight kick! The place has a full bar and a great menu. Will be back to sample things again.

One of the best smoke houses I've been to and I've been to a few! We split the Wabash, a platter of three meats and three sides. We went with ribs, chicken breast (which is served healthily sliced) and brisket. We thought we would need a to go box but the food was so delicious we just kept rolling through! I've never had collard greens so perfectly cooked! Or sweet tea so far north taste so south! All of the meat was melt in your mouth and to heck with the BBQ sauce served on the side the smoke was perfect! I'll be back!!!

The smell as I walked in told me is was in for a treat. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. All kinds of good bbq here. My friend likes getting the loaded baked potato, but I love the brisket and bbq chicken. The white chicken chili is great stuff too. The only thing that didn't impress me was the pulled pork...it was good, but nothing special.

I am so excited to be the first to write a review for this place. It is so exciting to have a new, great place to eat in Converse and Jefferson St BBQ fits the bill. Walk up to the counter and order from a selection of meats and delicious homemade sides and pick from a large selection of drinks including beer and wine. Find a seat and your food will be delivered to your table in a jiffy! The biggest perk is that it is open Sunday afternoons, one of the few places in Converse where you can get a good meal on Sunday. So load up the family and head on down to Jefferson St for a side of ribs and some delicious baked beans!

Just what we were looking for!! The restaurant has galvanized sheet metal and brick for walls. So rustic yet urban. Clean and simple and friendly staff. Simple menu - they know what they're good at and they do it well. Nice healthy options is a plus for me. We each had a salad $7. One with pulled pork and one with brisket. The meat was so tender and flavorful no dressing or sauce was needed. Jalapeño cornbread was fabulous. We walked out of there feeling full and satisfied for under $20 for 2 people. Will for sure be back and will also get some to go!!!

Heard they had great brisket and it didn't disappoint. Tender and delicious. Had the pulled pork as well, very good too. The sides were not anything special, I had the slaw and jalapeno cornbread, tasted the baked beans and they were good. I would definitely recommend this place, but get there early, they were packed at 6pm on Saturday and it's not a big space inside. Overall, good experience.

Wonderful BBQ. Get the brisket. The side options are ok. Jalapeño cornbread is great! And a surprise goodie: the cream puffs for dessert. You get 5 little ones for $1 and you will want them all for yourself!

Definitely 5 stars down the line! The ribs rock by themselves... but everyone knows it's the sauce that brings it home! Friendly atmosphere & excellent food. 2 thumbs up for this BBQ!

Ate here twice over the summer. Barbecue is amazing. This is definitely destination worthy. Portions are enormous. Stop thinking about it and eat here!
