Possibly my new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Fresh Food, The cheapest place we can eat! I am from Texas, I enjoy the food. Some Hoosiers are to picky and like the nasty El no pal that swells you up and its out of a can. We eat here once a week for 2 people and pay $24 to $26 dollars, Love it. If they get it wrong, they fix it. LOVE THE FRESHNESS, LOVE THE PRICES, LOVE CHUYS!

Not a bad place to get a quick meal. Not a huge fan of Mexican style food so I always get the same thing there, burrito with cheese. It's fair prices and close off of the interstate. I think that the tables are crammed in a little to right for my liking. The staff is hit or miss it seems though. Either they are super nice or just your run of the mill waiters.

Chuy's is one of the go-to spots for our Friday lunch group. The food is always fresh and very tasty! The chips are absolutely delicious. They are very thin and crisp. Coupled with some of the freshest, chunkiest salsa in town makes them better. Be sure to ask for the creamy jalapeno dip (free) and you've got an unbeatable appetizer. If you go for lunch and want a smaller portion, ask for the lunch menu. They don't give them to you with the full menu. If you're there for dinner or want a larger portion, have at it, Hoss. The Chicka-chicka-boom-boom is very good with an appropriate level of spiciness. The Mexi-cobb salad is also one of my favorites. There's sure to be something on the menu that will satisfy at a reasonable price. Service is always excellent! The restaurant itself has a very fun atmosphere and is split up enough so that you don't feel like you're in a huge hall. There are TV's in the bar and strange, homemade looking art and photos up everywhere. In the back rooms, there are paintings of what I assume to be folk tales (I don't read Spanish) but I can't for the life of me figure out why a Panda would be knitting beside a polar bear and a penguin in the middle of the desert with a cobra in the background. Enjoy!

Food was excellent, and amount of food for the price was good. The waitress we had wasnt very good. This seems like their biggest problem is the service end of the business.

We stopped here on our drive from Chicago to Birmingham. The food was excellent! My husband had the fish tacos and I had the stacked enchiladas. Both had tons of flavor and tasted amazing. The creamy jalapeño sauce was probably the best part of the fish tacos and also tasted great with the chips. We also had great service! Our food came out quickly and our waitress was quick to fill up our drinks and bring us more chips. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return if we drive back to Chicago!

I was pretty disappointed with this place. After my wife's suggestion for Chuy's, as she grew up in Texas, I was excited to try it. The first thing I noticed is the menu selection was pretty poor for a Mexican place. I felt the menu was very lopsided with chicken dishes. I kind of wanted a beef enchilada, but such a thing doesn't really exist unless you "custom" make it. I went with a Southwestern enchilada, because I like salsa verde, and fried eggs on things that usually don't have fried eggs on them. I thought it was very bland and dry. The rice, on the other hand, was extremely spicy (pretty sure they gave me the "green chile rice" even though I didn't ask for it). I don't mind spicy, but this was ridiculous, and still didn't have much flavor. The only good things about the meal were the chips & salsa, and the charro beans.

Fresh but kind of boring food. There's something just a little "off" about it that I can't describe. But I would give 5 stars for their creamy jalapeño dip and tortilla chips. VERY good!

Let me preface this by saying we were on the road and randomly picked this spot. So, our expectations were food and fast. We sat in the bar area (at the bar specifically). The service here could not have been faster or more professional. For that, I give the spot five stars. The food here is OK at best. They definitely don't refrain on the salt. Mmmmm, salt lick! We had a taco salad and tacos with rice and beans. Not that the ingredients weren't fresh; I just was a bit overwhelmed by the premanufactured taste of everything. We did enjoy one Margarita with and extra shot ($1 special). It did look like they must have taken some premium liquors off the shelf for the special. It seem about 2/3 full. The atmosphere is fun and a bit crazy. Fish hanging from the ceiling (artistic fish that is) and Chihuahua heads on all sorts of crazy beings. They also sell their lot of play-off-of-other-brands t-shirts. These are realy fun if you are into that sort of thing. Although our expectations were met, I just didn't feel satiated with the chow. Overall, they experience was good, but the food lacked uniqueness.

For chain texmex, this stuff is damn good. I never wait for a table (I go to the bar) and anything I get is good to great. They can get a little heavy on the salt but that's not often. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and I have no complaints, only compliments.

Over-priced Mexican food. It was good, but not your typical Mexican restaurant. The food is average, which is weird because I LOVE Mexican. The service was slow but friendly and apologetic. I wouldn't go back. It's not worth the price you pay.

Food was good. Prices were good. The kids liked the different themed rooms and especially the hubcaps on the ceiling. Waitress was great!

The Chips are ahhhhmazing? Really? I mean, they are tasty but come on...

One of our favorite spots! Food is amazing! Some of our favorites is the steak burrito, Elvis chicken, any of the chimis and the enchilada/ chile relleno combo. The appetizer ponchos with the fajita steak are yummy too! When they serve your chips and salsa, be sure to ask for some creamy jalapeño dip (free of charge). You will have to come back for more. Homemade tortillas and all of their special toppings are free of charge. On Fridays they have floaters (extra shot for your drinks) for just $1. Definitely 5 stars! Casual and reasonably priced, we make it a weekly treat!

I went there on Friday night for the first time, and I have to say wow it was fantastic!! My wife and I eat out often, and Mexican/ Tex-Mex is one or our favorite styles. We usaually eat at a local family run Mexican restaurant that we think is pretty good, however I believe Chuys has replaced them for good. Our server was great, the food was amazing. I ordered the steak burrito and it was the best one I've ever had. They make the burittos, and fajita shells fresh to order, and you can really tell the difference. My wife and daughter shared a chicken fajita, and still had some leftover. Our server then suggested the Tres Leche cake ( telling us it was the best cake other than his mothers) I nust say it was fantastic. All in all I cant recommend this restaurant any stronger, and I can't wait to go back

I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but I didn't care for it much......any of it. Bummer that I chose that place on Mother's Day, my day, and then the food sucked. But oh, well. It's kind of a cool place, but my food was definitely not tasty. There are other texmex places I would choose over this.

  • Sarah R.

Absolutely ahh-maa-zzing!!!! The decor is very bright, and welcoming. The chips are veryy good and warm. We ordered two dips and they gave us a third one free on accident. They gave us everything we asked for, including little desserts with the kids meals. Great overall!!

Spicy and Delicious! I thought this was going to be a Tumbleweed redone. My husband almost had to drag me in the doors. BUT, I was mistaken! The restaurant is colorful, fun, and you can watch homemade tortillas made right in front of you. The key to this place like any, is finding your dishes. Me and my husband both like SPICY food and Chuys can deliver. We asked a waiter and he was glad to help us pick dishes to try. To start with...Their salsa (which is more like a pico) can be mild and sometimes not, but it has always been slightly too much lime for me. We still like it, because we love mexican food flavors. The queso is slightly different than most others, and we get it everytime, and really like it. They also have a creamy jalapeno sauce to dip their perfectly crispy thin chips in, which is absolutely fantastic on the days the jalepenos are spicy enough! The sauce is like a spicy ranch dressing, but don't just judge, ask for some and try it, it is excellent! We are usually getting full on these chips before our dinners arrive, but always make room for the flavors to come! My favorite dish is the Steak and cheese burrito with Hatch green chile sauce! I have never liked or even ordered green chiles until Chuy's and now I love this dinner. The churro beans are tasty with cilantro. The rice that comes with this is very flavorful too. But this is not for sissy's, it is usually kind of HOT. Last time we went my husband got a chimichanga with queso sauce, and it was the best chimichanga I have ever ate! The sauce was on the plate and the chimi on top, which kept the crust flaky and crispy! Awesome flavor contrast in your mouth! No soggy crust, WOW, I never thought I would enjoy a chimi so much! Well, we have been about 6 times in the last few months and the service is usually excellent! I recommend trying this restaurant and retrying it if you aren't sure. Each time I go, I like it more!

We are transplants from Houston to Chicago and felt like a day trip, so we drove to our "favourite" restaurant as an excuse to get out. Just like the Chuy's in Houston, the chips and salsa were great, and the customer service was fantastic! We're not down-ranking for this, but there were a few missing items from our Houston experience: No red table sauce/salsa. Bring it up from Texas! The 911 Hot Plate I ordered came with Hatch Green Chile sauce when it should have come with regular Green Chile sauce. I ordered this off-menu (it has long been off all the Chuy's menus, but I can still order it) and since this Chuy's is so new, I might have been the first at this location. I like the Hatch Green Chile sauce, so the oversight was acceptable/understandable because the enchiladas were awesome anyway. My wife had her regular #9 combo and loved it. Reminds us of Houston! Anyways, we love the food, the value, and the service all the Chuy's provide and this was no different. Hopefully they keep growing north to Chicago!

First last night.....loved it..everything was fresh and the service was great...can not wait to go back. Prices are good as well...top of the list!

I thought they had good service. He kept our chip bowl and waters full. I didn't think the menu was anything to brag about. Not a huge variety and average prices. I ordered the chicken queso burrito- It was decent. Our table was broken, so it was constantly rocking back and forth. Overall, I think it's an okay place to eat, but I wouldn't come here often.

Ask for waiter: Eric. Cobb salad w/creamy jalapeño sauce and a Bloody Mary. You won't be disappointed...

Really, 3.5 stars but service was great so I'll round up. We were in need of a lunch stop on our way back to Indy before we got stuck in the mess of construction on 65N. I hadn't heard of Chuy's but it turns out there is now one north of Indianapolis. I ordered the chicken combo, one of the "light" plates, and it was a lot more food than I was expecting. The chicken was on the dry side, though, and I had to ask for more salsa (the waitress gave us regular salsa plus the creamy jalapeno with our chips) to liven things up. My husband liked his burrito, though, with the "boom boom" queso. The food was good and not overly greasy. Plus it was my birthday and I heard my favorite Bryan Adams song from when I was 10. :-)

Standard Tex-Mex fare and certainly tasty. They would have gotten 4 stars but I thought that the quality of the cocktails wasn't up to par. The patio was fantastic and everybody was a blast to be around. We always stop by when in town.

Picked up some take out tonight with my friend shelby. The Togo girl was friendly and the food came with free chips and salsa even Togo! So in my book that's a plus! The outside looked fun and the drink deals during the week sounded amazing. Might need to go in on a Wednesday and try any size draft beer for a dollar after work one day. Hope the food is as good as the service. I'll keep you in the loop!!

Neat kitschy baja mexican place. May very well be the Applebee's of Mexican food. Food is ok, staff and service was excellent. Kinda loud environment. Most likely you will be seated next to a group of obnoxious, loud girls with names like Amanda or Jessica that act like they've been pregaming the margaritas, doing their single girls night out. Buen provecho.

  • Roger T.

Good garden salsa and creamy jalapeño dip: could make a meal on those two alone. Burritos are ok and what I usually get though the fajitas are also nice. The reason I don't rate this higher is I just don't get the crave for this place. You know what I mean? Some Mexican restaurants have a certain voodoo that sticks in your head and pulls you back like a homing device. We'd also heard some unfavorable things from former employees, that you must take with a grain of salt, but think it did affect our perception anyway, fairly or not.

I used to eat lunch here all the time, but have not been back since the roach incident. Seriously, even after that it's still better than Senior Iguanas.

Tried this place again today for the first time in a while. The service and food were excellent. The green chili menu made the trip worth while. The creamy jalapeño sauce is great. My wife finds the salsa a little too spicy but I like a little heat. I look forward to trying them again soon.

So we show up 30 minutes before closing and all the employees pretend like we are not there. Not okay in my book. I will never be back and suggest you don't either!

Ay ya ya. I hate to update my review to a bad one, but at this point it's well deserved. When I first started going here I loved it. I've never had an issue. With the prices I pay for beef fajitas I would expect a lot more. We got home and unpacked everything. It all looked fine. I start to eat my fajitas and there is so much fat in the meat and so tough I couldn't eat it. I tried quite a few different pieces to see if it was all like that. It was. So, I pretty much just paid for a meal that was inedible. That does not sit well with me. We did order the cool jalapeño dip again and as usual it was great. That is what I had for dinner instead of my fajitas meal. Sorry Chuys, but this is too much to look over in my opinion. I won't be back. If I do, it will only be to get the dip.

  • Dale R.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the place. The menu wasn't very good. I would prefer they put pictures in the menu where you can actually see what you're ordering. It was nothing different than any other Mexican style restaurant. Our server was decent. We got put in the back room so it was not very comfortable.

Love the Baja tacos. Great with either the fish or shrimp. Tortillas made on a griddle at the far end of the room-Tortilla chips fresh from the fryer served in a big scoop-the friendliest service! What's not to like? Wonderful margaritas and you'll never get done looking at all the cool art on the walls. And the best part is that my huge dinner and a drink only set me back 12 bucks plus tip! Thanks Chuy's!

We visited Chuy's for the first time on Mother's Day. Very cool atmosphere. Definitely out of the ordinary. We were informed that there are small wrestler action figures screwed into the ceiling all over the restaurant. Who knew? I had a HUGE burrito (Sunday Special) that was good. Honestly, a little better than average. But my wife had some fish tacos that were extra-ordinary. The chips and salsa (they also had some white salsa that was fantastic), were right on point! The kids loved it. In fact, our waiter, John, was extremely welcoming and courteous. With every sip of water I took, he was there to replenish my cup. My one year old incessantly threw the sugar packets, menus, and whatever else on the floor. John was quick to sweep it up without complaining once. We told him it was our first time, so he had a manager come welcome us and give us a coupon for free queso. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. We will be back. Probably not a dining staple, but a couple times a year, for sure.

So being an Austinite and having the original Chuys down there as one of my FAVORITE tex mex spots, I was absoluely amazed to find one in Indiana of all places. Seeing the festive neoen lights and craving a taste of some decent tex mex up here in the midwest we decided to have dinner here. Although this is far from Texas and it's roots, this Chuy's definately did not disappoint. From the New Mexican Martini's to the beef fajitas, this place did a great job and satisfied my hunger for tex mex. They also had the salsa and chips I have craved, and to top it all of the jalepeno/cilantro ranch that complements their entire menu. One of my wishes has come true, which is finding a decent Tex Mex spot in the midwest, next is to move this further north to Chicago where I live now!!

Has gone so far down hill it's not even funny. We went this weekend and the place was about deserted. We decided to sit in the bar only to find out that there were no available tables. Well, they were available it's just that 6 of them were filled with dirty plates. (Probably should have just sat in the deserted dining room). We asked the 4, yes count them, 4 people standing and talking at the greeters station if they could get one cleaned off. One said they would, and went off on a lengthy journey to the back to find someone else to do it. Sadly, they didn't clean everything off, they left the previous patrons credit card receipt (in the little tray thing), and sat us. It took forever for anyone to come to the table and bring menus and take drink orders, so we just went ahead and ordered what we remembered from last time without looking (since we didn't know when or if they would be back). The waitress dropped off our drinks and disappeared. Someone from the back brought our food out (mine was wrong). So he took it back and fixed the mistake (I have to say he was very pleasant). Maybe I'm weird, but when we came in there were two ladies in the booth behind us, and a guy had a chair pulled up to the booth (he had it turned backwards, and I was wondering why he wasn't just sitting with them, and it just seemed weird). After our food arrived he finally got up from chatting with the ladies and I had my answer. He was a manager. All those dirty tables, he had to have heard my order was wrong, and did nothing. Never even spoke to us. By the way, the other tables remained dirty for our stay. The waitress didn't come back until it was time to pay our bill. We had to go to the bartender to get refills (we weren't drinking, just soft drinks). Food was very greasy, as it was the last time we went. We have been to Chuy's in other cities and I know the deal is 'freshness', but not here. Admittedly, it was better when they first opened. But since then it's been one long slide, which is obvious from the empty parking lot when you drive by. Won't be back.

Great Salsa !! Great Sauces !! Must try the creamy jalapeno sauce Bars cool, I prefer to eat during the day when no one is at the bar... weekend nights it's hard to find a spot

My daughter and I love this place. I love the theme and the food. The Elvis fried chicken is wonderful. The creamy jalapeño dip is great too. I could eat that and the chips all day long. We have never had to wait long to be seated or get our food. Prices are good to especially for the amount you get. Great place.

I was so excited about getting Chuy's to-go tonight and I was sorely disappointed. First, I get there 30 minutes after placing my order over the phone (the projected time I was given) only to find out they didn't put my order in the computer. I verified the phone number to make sure I had the right location. The manager (I assume) came out and was very nice and apologetic, which I appreciated but didn't offer a discount at all while re-ringing up my order. He was nice, but I feel I should've received a refund for the mishap and having to wait. The manager repeated my order twice, I thought there's no way they'd get this wrong. He seemed to be so thorough and brought the order to the kitchen himself. I ordered baja shrimp tacos on CORN TORTILLAS. I get home and they're on flour tortillas! I was so willing to forget about the order mishap but then it was wrong, too. Im sad to give one of my favorite places 3 stars. Hopefully next time I'll be able to give 5!

  • Jim M.

Slow, mediocre and pricey. Just spent $70 (before tip) for a family of 5. Took over 30 minutes to bring food to the table after the server took the order - and even then one of them arrived screwed up. How hard is TexMex? Had to remind the server for utensils while we continued to wait to eat. Double fail. We like the jalapeño dip, but the recipe can be easily Googled and is simple to make.

  • Nicole C.

I'll give it 3 stars because I do like the chips and salsa. The food is ok. I have been here several times because my dad really likes it so we go for birthdays/ father days. The last time we asked for a booth and she led us to a table, so we asked again and the hostess more or less stomped off like a 2 year old. My complaint is to the service which before this last Saturday has always been excellent. This waitress just seemed edgy and impatient. Here is the big part our bill came to $93 which was paid on my debit card $25 was left in cash (despite the attitude) $101 ($8 too much) was ran on my debit card. I understand mistakes happen but even the manager said it would of been pretty hard to mistake the 0 on the debit slip for a 8. I would watch the amount charged on your card if you use one here.

    (2)
  • Lindsey K.

I really like the creamy jalapeño dip you can get with the chips. No extra charge. That stuff is the best. Honestly, I come here just when I am craving that dip. Apart from that, I typically have good service here which is one reason I come back - and the food is good. The atmosphere is a bit loud and busy so I don't really recommend it as a place to come to if you're wanting a quiet setting to chat. But if it's warm enough, the outdoor seating area is a good option. (Even though it's very close to 1-65...) Overall, I am a fan.

Ok a week or so ago I had dinner here and promised a review and so here it finally is. I was not at all impressed. I'm pretty forgiving so it takes a little bit to disappoint me but man I was disappointed. While I didn't find the menu items extremely appealing I figured that just might be a personal taste thing. But after eating the food, I feel there are better places to get the kind of fare they offer. The salsa and chips to start were actually very good but as I looked at the menu, I ran into trouble. See, I'm gluten-free and not by choice. I've been around the block enough with food to know what to ask and what kinds of food might be safe for me but the server had very few answers for me. The manager brought me a printed gluten free menu but it was the most pathetic gluten free menu I think I have ever seen, especially for Mexican-esque food. Almost nothing is safe and that includes the ground beef?! The manager explained that the seasoning was the problem and brought me the packet to check. It did not list and gluten containing ingredients but the term "spices" is pretty generic. The gf menu then appears to be overly cautious which can't be blamed exactly but the company itself does not seem to have made a lot of efforts to provide information or options in this area. But back to the restaurant. The manager was as nice as can be and as helpful as he could be. But otherwise the service was not good and the bar and waitstaff were not super professional, sitting around at neighboring tables chatting with each other and friends who had come in and just generally giving half effort. They were young and probably didn't know otherwise but didn't seem to be held to high expectations. I ended up getting some hard shell beef tacos (yes I took a chance on the seasoning and I was fine) but they were not something I would go back for. Not terrible but not worth ordering, I make better at home. All in all, not a place worth spare time or effort.

Stopped here during a long car trip as we wanted a sit down place to take a break from the road. Lots of restaurants at this exit which is why we got off. Very happy we chose this place. Despite being 7pm on a friday night we were seated pretty quickly- the place is busy but it is also large with lots of tables and turn-over. Our waitress was good and the food was very good, I think better than the Chuy's in Tennessee that is my only other experience with the brand. I didn't get a margarita as I was driving but the food was good and we were very happy with that place as an option to stop.

i think Chuy's is absolutely fabulosooo! Chuy's has become my faaave since it's come to southern indiana. it's not authentic Mexican- it's TexMex first off, the chips and salsa - ahhMaZiNG! chips are light fresh warm and salty. salsa freshly made with tons of flavor. if they don't bring u the creamy jalepeño sauce, get it. and make sure u order queso as well. it's out of this world. second, their menu loves spice. heat. kick. the sauces are what changes it up, there's about ten to choose from. the Chicken burrito with boom boom sauce - great- enchiladas blancas - great- chicken fajitas - yummmm dulce de leche - fabulous the food I've had has been great on every occasion and u could definitely consider me and my boyfriend regulars there. I can't complain really. I usually sit in the bar area, so there's no wait on a booth. TVs to watch. staff is very friendly. cool t shirts to buy. good music to listen to. fun decor. love it!

We used to love this place before someone we knew worked there. They've witnessed people spitting in food and we're afraid they'll do it do ours. Luckily for us there is another one in St. Matthews! It is a shame that bad employees ruin good places like this for everyone.

I really wish I could remember our server's name, because she is the reason I even remembered to yelp this place. The service was AMAZING. Such a friendly waitress, so accommodating and kind. i had the vegetarian meal with the chile rellanos and IT WAS SO SO GOOD. AND the price was great. I am not a fan of chains, but I really liked this place!

Normally everything is ok here but today service is pure crap. There systems seemed to be Down and the manager lady was frantically trying to fix it and barking orders the the waiters. I stood in front of them for 5 mins waiting to tell them how many were in my party not once did they even look at me I just left as did many others.

I guess I have experienced places that others would refer to as "lil' Mexico," & that's what I kinda thought this 1 was with their taco shaped door handles, but alas I was mistaken. I like those places. Their food tends to be better than the chain resturants. But, the only hispanic people I saw were bus boys. *shaking finger* Their food - I've had better. I'm not sure if they really "make everything fresh" as our server kept saying, but if they do...Idk. I'm not really impressed. The place was EXTREMEly LOUD. Louder than the movie - in order to hear people you definately had to be EXTREMEly CLOSE! :-p lol. I think what left the really bad taste in my mouth was the service, though. I had gotten a phone call and was on my cell probably about 5 mins after ordering & about 15 mins after our food came - rude I'm sure. My daughter's used to it though. :-/ However, the server took full advantage. My daughter was asking about their Chimi - which came with a specific sauce. We told her we were 1st time customers, the menu was like greek or well far from mexican - things like "Elvis Presley Memorial Combo." So, she offered to bring us "samples of the sauces. No problem. The server picked 1, my daughter picked 1. She brought us a whole bowl of the 1 she picked & a spoonful of the 1 my daughter picked. We asked questions that were never a problem at prior mexican resturants like we'd experienced in Louisville even when they didn't speak fluent English (as I've read other Yelpers complain about), like "how much is a beef taco ala carte?" "How much are your sodas?" Things that sometimes will factor in whether we order them or not - I mean I am not averse to ording water with lemon if the price of an unlimited soda & I'm only going to get thru 1-1 1/2 is 2.59 or $3! That could mean an extra 6 bucks on our bill for what? Flavored water, right? And so...with these questions we get our service & our food & our answers pretty vague but reasonable as they would be comparable to what we'd pay at a Louisville resturant. That is until we get the bill. But then there's another catch. While I was on the phone, the server brought our food, now I had the fajitas. Shrimp - I had asked if they were more expensive but, she said no and they were great, the serving size was huge. Ok. No problem. Now, back to when I was on the phone, sorry for the digression...She tells my daughter if I need anymore cheese and lettiuce for my fajitas to "just let her know." Ok. No problem. I even looked up from my phone, smiled and thanked her. Now let me add that flagging down this woman for anything that obviously didn't have a price tag was short of a bull horn. We went thru nearly our entire meal with 2 napkins. Of course the place was as loud as a strip club on a Sat. night (not that I'd know, ahem...just guessing. :p lol). But for extra lettuce and cheese - no problem, more sour cream (hey how much does that cost *insert vague answer*- no problem). Now to the sticker shock. She charged us for the "sample sauces," even the spoon size my daughter wanted to try, but more importantly, the 1 she offered. She charged us extra for the shrimp fajitas, which I knew were going to be extra, she said weren't. But there was 1 charge on the bill that I actually asked her about, "mixed" & then some code, but I was also giving a chance at some sort of redemption here. She said, "oh that's your mixed bowl of cheeses and lettuce." I was confused. She hadn't made it clear that it was extra to keep asking her for more. When confronted with the charge, she said she'd "talk to her manager about removing it." Never apologzing for the confusion. Nothing. I even said, I know I was on my phone and I am sorry, but I clearly remember that conversation." She said, again, no problem. I sat a minute and looked at the bill. And I was a bit shocked. She literally padded my bill. Reason for shock: I was trained as a server at a resturant I won't mention out of "respect" for the servers, in "upselling" a techinque in getting the customer to buy top shelf items. For ex.,if the meal comes with a house salad, offer a ceaser, or if they are buying a drink with their meal offer top shelf liquor. but always say, "we have this but it's x $$ extra.". It pads the bill while adding more to your tip & more in the pocket of the company. I was horrible at this and thereby don't work for this co. anymore, because although it wasn't as ethical than what this woman was doing - I still found it unethical. In a few brief secs I realized this server had upselled us without our knowledge, without confirming prices, & without our consent. I took it to a manager. I discussed with him my feelings on the ticket. He said, "Don't worry about this, I'm going to take care of this for you. He never apologized, just he would take care of the problem. He turned around went to the computer, took off all the upselliing and handed me our "real bill." So - my review of Chuy's - watch your bill! :(

VERY GOOD. The chips are so thin and crispy it's amazing. The queso and salsa are delicious. The fajitas are very good as well. Have had the southwestern a couple times and absolutely love it ( don't let the egg scare you...) lol. Only disappointment (slight but still) is there is no beer on tap :(
