Small town pizzeria with fresh tasting ingredients. Everything about the pizza tasted like it was made that day. A tasty tomato sauce with just the right herbs a top a crunchy crust. The cheese was hot, bubbly, and stringy and bubbly ... and after the cooldown provided just the right texture, flavor and bite. But better than any of the food, was the service and staff. Friendly, kind and courteous. This out-of-towner felt more than welcome at this establishment. While on the historic drive through this area, bring in the whole family .. you won't regret it.
Oh, Pizza Pete. My hometown favorite. By far, the best pizza you can get in Brookville! My personal favorite growing up was pepperoni and banana peppers. One of the best restaurants in Brookville.
Went White-river rafting and were starving after! Saw the reviews on this place and decided to go, it was amazing! The pizza was great!! Good crust, sauce and toppings! The only thing I'd have to say is that no one was wearing gloves :/

Pretty darn good for small town Indiana. Good salsa and margaritas.
Not really impressed -- took a while before a waiter even visited our table. So we had chips and salsa and no drink. Manager burrito was bland and green onions in my quesadila was different (and they weren't chopped either).
Very good. I am used to eating Mexican food all over the country. The style is different everywhere. I tried the enchiladas supreme which had one of each: beef, chicken, cheese and beans. Then topped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. All were delicious. I liked the chicken best, but then again, I usually prefer chicken. I don't live in the area, but if I did, I would be a regular here.

Im not sure if we were just really hungry after a day canoeing on the river, but everything we had was good, from burgers to chicken, Jojos, and ice cream. We spent more than if we'd gone to a chain fast food restaurant, but it was worth it. The dining room was nice and clean, too. Favorite thing: Jojos. Least favorite: the hamburger patties seemed to be preformed, frozen, nondescript disks.
Some of THE BEST fried chicken in Indiana. Well worth the trip. Seating is quite rustic. If you are pleasant to the staff, they are pleasant to you! If you can put up with cramped seating, the fried chicken more than makes up for it. Owners: invest in some tables and chairs! Other than that, I love this place. 5 star fried chicken!!! Fr. Dave
A must-stop place when you're passing through town. Go here for the Jojos which are seasoned and fried potato wedges that make a trip to Brookville worth while. DC famous for their fried chicken too. The G-Boy is a double-decker burger similar to it's cousin from the big chain burger restaurant. I never go to Brookville without stopping in to get some jojos; even if they are to take home to Chicago for later.

We stopped by here on a casual Saturday while driving through the country. The owner was around and quite present during our visit. The waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere is kitschy and fits the "Kountry Kitchen" namesake. I was put off by a few things. They served individual bags of chips that made it feel less like a restaurant experience. If they wanted to buy them in small bags, they could still just open them and put them on the plate. The salad was also not served before the meal and came with a packet of dressing. OK...those are the negatives. I gave them 4 stars because the barbeque e was delicious! The owner has several commercial smokers and I enjoyed the pulled pork in a sandwich with a very bodacious bar-b-que sauce that he shared was home made. It was not too sweet and had just enough kick. The bar-b-que should be where the Koountry Kitchen should continue to focus. It was marvelous!! They also had homemade desserts that looked yummy but we didn't take the jump. Definitely worth a visit!
Small hometown place with several menu options. Best place to dine in town! Great food and friendly owners came out to talk. Son said it was the best burger he has ever had. I had the salad with grilled chicken. Wasn't expecting much with that but it was prepared with care and delicious. Owner brought out their specialty smoked pulled pork for us to try and homemade BBQ sauce. So good we bought a pound to take home. Everything prepared from scratch and fresh. Prices are very fair.
Quaint restaurant right on the main road in the town of Brookville, IN. There are limited eating choices in town (McDonald's, a tavern and Pete's Pizza) so we landed here after doing a little shopping. Their famed dishes are smoked ribs and pulled pork. They get the smoker going every morning right outside the door and boy does it smell delish! The down side is you have to wait until dinner time to partake as they are still smoking at lunch. My bacon cheeseburger was cooked just right - not dry at all. You will need to specify exactly what you want on it however or it will come plain. No cheese, no mayo, no ketchup, no mustard, no tomato - nothing. I kindly asked the waitress for some "add-ons" after I saw my plain burger. The kids' meals are somewhat skimpy. Our waitress was a pleasant young lady, but apparently overwhelmed and we ate almost our entire meal with no drinks. On the upside, their Raspberry Tea was the best! Very limited seating inside - 4 booths and 3 or 4 tables that can seat 4-6 people each. That's it people! It's small. I really wanted to love this small town restaurant, but 3 stars is all I can give it.
