We love this pizza place! Lots of unique choices and delicious. The hours can be odd and they seem close every time I want to order but it is a family run business so this is expected. They provide their hours so this issue is really on me for not paying attention.
Very, very impressed with this local pizza place. I was dining in with two of my coworkers as we happened to be working in the area. We had asked for a restaurant recommendation and were given directions to Tyeger's. The employee (owner?) was incredibly personable and explained in detail different menu items and made recommendations. So many choices! We all ordered different pizzas and sides so we could sample and share. We really enjoyed everything and plan to return the next time we are working in or near Bluffton. I absolutely LOVE to support and promote local family businesses and I give this one my highest recommendation.
some of the best pizza anywhere very original

Got the patty melt. Absolutely delicious! Staff is extremely friendly. Great place to watch a game and have a cold one. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Bluffton.
Overpriced. Food is mediocre. Many beers to choose from, but served cool, not cold.
Great selection of beers, very friendly staff. Were going through a new POs system install so was rather entertaining sitting at the bar watching a game and eating. Ordered the Billy Burrito and got enchiladas but made up for the mistake exceptionally well. Food was very good and I wasn't too fussy about what I had anyway since this was my first visit and expect many more tot try a variety of food. Maybe food was priced a little high but beer was not and service and taste easily made up the possible difference.

Very good food at a fair price with generous portions. Smokehouse chicken is awesome. If you can get past the antique styling of this historic building I'm sure you will come back
I have been to Bluffton for family events many times over the past thirty years, and I have become inured to disappointment when eating outside the home. Imagine my surprise when, having gathered with the family to celebrate my father-in-law's life, I had a fine meal at Sassafras a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant is usually closed on Sundays, but it opened specially for our family's post-funeral dinner. The dining area is a large room with a lovely tin ceiling, reminding my of my beloved DiRobertis in New York (but in much better condition). The meal began with a salad of greens with wedges of mandarin orange; the main attraction was a pork tenderloin that had been roasted with a maple-bourbon glaze over a bed of vegetables; the tenderloin was sliced and served over a bed of the roasted vegetables. We also had whipped potatoes - not my favorite way to eat potatoes, I confess, but this was very well done for what it is. Service was pleasant - attentive but not cloying. It will be interesting to find out, on a future visit to Bluffton, how this restaurant is on one of its normal opening days.
My wife and I have been to Sassafras about once a week for the last month. The stately house it's located in has class and lends the restaurant a unique atmosphere. I've tried one of their specials, beef brisket. Cooked in a rich brown sauce possibly with wine in it, besides being a great dish, the serving was ample and the garlic smashed potatoes a great side. I like that the prices are fair. The last time I went I got a hamburger that the waitress suggested and not 'officially' on the menu. It had pepper jack cheese and onion straws on a pretzel bun, homemade BBQ sauce on the side and jerk fries. The fries had a sweet, spicy seasoning that I really liked. I asked for the burger medium and it tasted great. Awesome combo. We've also had the banana cream pie (yum!) and bread pudding (yum too!). Wait staff is attentive and friendly, offers helpful dinner advice. Why there aren't more people eating here is baffling. To me Sassafras easily bests the other sit-down restaurants in town. Try it and see for yourself!

This place has it all, great atmosphere, great service, great owner and GREAT food. This place has all you want in a Chinese Buffet. My Wife and I have been to several Chinese places and this is our favorite. The owner remembers our names and is always polite and friendly. Do yourself a favor and eat here, you wont be disappointed.
Selection was limited. And the man working cash register was rude. No greeting when I walked in or a friendly thank you as I paid or an acknowledgement as I left...
I've been going to this restaurant for many years, including their old smaller location. Besides having some of the best Chinese food I've ever had, the atmosphere is excellent. The owner is almost always in view and making sure everyone is happy. I particularly like visiting family operated businesses and this is one of the best. Their peanut chicken is the best I've ever had also!

This is one of the few places you can go in Bluffton for great custard and quick tasty meals. They serve a great Reuben sandwich (my favorite). One of the great things is the ever changing carousel of flavors of custard. Be sure to pick up a calendar and know which days your favorite flavors well be available. They make it fresh and you have a choice of two flavors. The prices aren't bad either.

The food here is really good. We haven't had a wait yet to get in. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We've had incredible service every visit. Every time we've been here we've received our food within 5 minutes of ordering and it has always been incredible. The food isn't anything different than any other semi-authentic Mexican restaurant, but the portions are much larger than average, and the service is the fastest of any restaurant I've been to. They're even quicker than most Fast Food chains I've been to. The prices are cheap as well. My wife and I usually only drink water at restaurants and our bill here with 2 burritos or a burrito and fajitas is usually around $17-20 with tip. Pretty affordable, and beats most other small restaurants around.
Average at best. Salsa was very good but my meal (meat burrito) was very plain. The meat had no flavor at all. It didn't taste bad it was just plain. Large portions but if you go try something other than their ground meat burrito.
What a great restaurant. Fresh veggies, robust salsa, and flavourful food. All classic Mexican fare, but cooked to very high standards. Plenty of food too, so you won't leave hungry. I had the chimichanga. I guess I always have that. Chicken. Deliscious! I highly recommend.

To me this is a regular DQ but since I work in the Parlor City people have talked this place up quite a bit. DQ gets a lot of biz from out of towners because the food is better than your regular DQ. I love the ice cream...after all it is a DQ, but the Coney Dogs are great...especially w/Onion Rings. Cheeseburgers are delicious as are most items on the menu. Besides, the kids love it.
