Went for a family meal Sunday August 30th around 2pm. They were not very busy and we were seated quickly and our orders were taken. We began to get restless after 30 minutes and then 45 minutes went by without any food. My daughter was worried she would be late for work. Between 50 minutes and an hour our food arrived and was fairly good. Our server was an older women who never smiled and we felt a little neglected. The manager gave a brief apology and was gone. Had not been there in a while and wanted a nice dinner in a relaxing southern style setting.

Stopped in as we were on business trip 2nd time at this location and we were not shocked at the crappy service we were getting as that's what we got before but this time a Manager named Dan took care of us and made our 2nd visit enjoyable. YES we will be back and he assured us they are working on service and will continue to improve. Thanks Dan

Not a bad spot to stop and grab a drink. Monday, Thursday and Friday are beer nights. Tuesday wine night and Wednesday is vodka night. Most specials are $3! There is also a happy hour menu from 4-7 and 9-close. The service can be a bit slow but the manager will normally walk around and make sure everything is ok. Sit at the bar for quicker more personable experience. If you are lucky enough to get a survey it's worth taking because you can get a free appetizer! Over all don't go in expecting the world and you will be just fine. Best items - French dip, Prime Rib Pasta, Cowboy Sirloin.

My boyfriend and I went to this location for lunch before he had to go to work. It took a while to be greeted, In fact we gave our whole order all at once. Our drinks took forever and our app. Never came :( we got our food which seemed to take the normal amount of time. The food was pretty good! Our server disappeared after we received our food, thankfully a manager was walking around and got us our drink refills, while she was getting us drinks I saw our server at the same drink station getting herself a drink lol... Overall the food was good! Service was nothing to brag about!

My son and I went to O'Charley's this afternoon for a quick lunch. This was something to be honest I thought I would never do again after a horrible experience with O'Charley's in Clarksville, TN. (FILTHY restaurant ((saw a mouse)) and horrid service) I'm glad that we gave this chain another shot. This location must either be new or has been recently updated. It is super clean. Like most of you a clean restaurant is very important to us. This is by no means a high end experience but it was welcoming enough for a chain restaurant. Service was prompt, helpful and courteous. We let our server know that we needed to get out quickly and she made sure we were taken care of quickly. In fact she made it a point to thank us for coming in when we were getting up to leave. Little things like that make me feel good. The hostess was a little sweet heart too. On to the food. My son ordered a six ounce sirloin off the dinner menu paired with a Cesar salad and sweet potato fries. He ordered his steak medium rare. I believe the hostess is the one who ran the food out and she asked him to cut into it. It came out medium. (medium rare has a warm red center and medium is pink through out) He said he didn't care though because it wasn't dried out and the flavor was good. He really liked the fries too. He thought that the salad was dressed a little to heavy but he liked the flavor. I ordered the lunch chicken pot pie and the poblano chowder. The server offered to bring my soup out with my son's salad so I did that. (She let me know the lunch portion usually comes out together but I could have it early if I wanted.) I LOVED that chowder. The flavors were on point and the texture was velvety. My son sampled it as well and loved it. I am no authority on pot pie. In fact I think the last time I had one I was a young kid and it came out of the frozen food section. I'm so glad I ordered it. The crust was very good and the pie portion was delicious. It had a wonderful savory flavor and texture was spot on. I will say that our family is usually not big on chain restaurants. This was a good experience though. We will come back and ask for the same server. Clean restaurant, good service and good food.

The waitress tonight is not very good. She is busy but has forgotten us several times. I had to go up to the bar and get my beer. The food is still great. I love the loaded potato soup. Wish the service was better.

Very disappointed. Place was not busy at all. Seated right away. Brandon was supposed to be our server but he never appeared. After 10 minutes of browsing the menu, we never was acknowledged, not offered any rolls or have anyone apologize for the lack of service. After deciding to leave, we approached the hostess stand in which was empty, and waited for 2 minutes to complain and ask for a manager. Hostess never showed as she was talking to the bartender. Once again, very disappointed at the lack of service or care. This night did not even deserve a rating but yelp requires one so....

I am probably brain-washed from having once worked for this chain, but man, do I crave their food sometimes. Gave into this craving when they recently sent a coupon in the mail [love excuses to eat out, haha, ok it was also my birthday so we had lots of good excuses.] We had a brief wait even though it was a weeknight, this surprised me but I think the unusually nice weather brought out a lot of people to this area for shopping so it was unexpectedly busy and they weren't staffed for it. Sat down and looked over all the foods I was craving, decided to go big and get some steak and chicken fingers, mmm, both are usually very good although my steak was a little overcooked but I was too lazy and hungry to ask for a re-do. I also got some of their potato soup which is always delicious. Our server was clearly busy but kept up with us as well as she could bringing us refills and rolls when we had a chance, she was super friendly. She heard me mention my birthday and made sure I got a slice of birthday pie to go [my choice of flavor!] since she knew I was too full to eat it there. She even offered us to-go drinks without us asking. Nice. We left full and happy. I came close to ordering the black n' bleu Caesar salad which is sooo good so I will probably be back for this soon when I give into my O'Charley's craving again, we also still have a second coupon to use!

We just visited the restaurant today, which led me to create this yelp account. The restaurant cleanliness hasn't changed in four years. We visited four years ago to find extremely dirty blinds and grime-y everything. We returned today with a gift card, only to leave the restaurant after we noticed fleas were jumping on us. We obviously left the restaurant came home, and called the health department after removing every article of clothing outside our home. The blinds were in the same condition, covered in food, dust, and an oily appearing film. I couldn't stay and talk to the manager, due to fear of taking those nasty fleas home with me. The only positive aspect of the restaurant, was that the server was friendly. We won't be returning to the restaurant. Unfortunately this $25 gift certificate will likely go to waste since I wouldn't send anyone to the restaurant.

The food is good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the service in the bar is terrible. Today we gave it another shot, and we still had to hunt down someone other than our server to get drink refills.

My brother is leaving for Basic training and we came here on a double date to celebrate. We had a short wait, but once we were seated, our orders were quickly taken and our drinks were brought out. My steak came out a grey color and tasted like spoiled milk. It was so awful that it was my first time ever sending something back. My brothers burger came out rare although he had ordered well done. While these would usually be major issues, the manager was sent out immediately to fix the issue. She explained that the steaks must breathe for 30 minutes before cooking and that mine was not rotten, just not prepared. My brother was given a new burger and my meal was replaced (with chicken this time!). We were very impressed that the manager dealt with our issues upfront. She was very kind and professional. More than anything--our server was amazing. He was a young guy named Alan or Allen. From the beginning, he was very upbeat, friendly, and so funny! When two meals got sent back, and rolls were slow because they were being cooked, he made it up by constantly checking our drinks and never letting one empty. He was very good about picking up our dishes during the meal without interrupting conversation. Also, he was never annoyed or angered by our troubles. He is the most amazing server we have had in a very long time, and somehow made our date night amazing!

Staff was struggling to get organized enough to seat people at tables bussed and ready. Waited 50 minutes overall. Many empty tables were in clear view. Finally seated at a table that was all ready to go for 20 minutes. Waitress was fine once we were finally seated.

One star for waitress. Food was more 3 starish. Never seen waitress again after she brought my first and only drink. It was not busy for a Sunday night. No one was waiting to be seated. She visited another table numerous times. Visit was around at 30 min. I'm still thirsty.

I've only been twice and had the soup and salad both times. It's an A-OK place to grab a quick lunch. Loaded potato soup is good and of course the best part are the hot fresh rolls.

We have been coming to this O'Charley's since we moved to Indiana in 2010. The bar staff is attentive and very friendly. Management is very responsive to customer concerns and feedback. We particularly enjoy a few of their dishes: the bruschetta chicken (healthy!), bayou tilapia, and prime rib pasta. Their salmon is very good too. To be fair, we always sit in the bar area and are not familiar with the dining area service.

Well it doesn't happen very often but my whole family got up and left about 20 minutes after being seated. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children. We ordered drinks but by the time we left, We had only received 1/2 of them. We were waiting for ice tea and milks. My daughter went up to speak to a manager and she followed her back to the table but never spoke with us. We were never even offered an opportunity to order appetizers. That was the preverbal straw - we left.

After our last 2 visits to this location, we stopped going because the service was so poor and the management didn't seem to care when you complained. Since then, I had heard from friends that they had similar results with the service. So, it was with some hesitation that my wife and I went back again last night. We wanted steak and we were on a budget, so this seemed to be the best place. The food was comparable to what we had before (not the best, but okay for where you're eating), but the improvement was in the service. The server was a lot more conversational and upbeat than the usual social slugs we've gotten in the past. Also, when the steaks came out, the manager immediately came up to the table and asked us to cut them and check them to make sure they were cooked the way we wanted. That was an added touch I had never gotten there before, but it may be because they had gotten a lot of complaints too and were trying to keep food from getting sent back. My steak was cooked fine, but the texture of the meat seemed to be too gritty for a sirloin. I'm cautiously optimistic that this place is okay to eat at again, because I know that one visit doesn't mean anything. I don't usually splurge for steaks at non-steakhouses like this, so the food I would normally order is probably better. However, it was nice to see that the staff was actually interested in making sure everything went right. If you want to make sure you have a good experience, I would still say to check out the one in Camby.

I cannot for the life of me think why people would want to eat here. The only thing it has going for it is the bread bowl, with buttery hot rolls. Everything I've ever eaten here has been utterly bland. Not bad, but not good either. It all tastes similar, and probably came out of a half-dozen plastic bags, to be re-heated as needed. If you're ever dragged here, fill up on rolls and free refills on soda, and hit a drive-through later.

You know? It's an O'Charleys. It's not quite even a Chili's or Applebees, in my experience. But the Avon location really earned an extra star for friendly and engaging hostesses, waitresses, and managers (Who still knew when to leave you alone an dlet you eat.)

Very nice selections and always consistent with quality. Great place for the family to eat. I love the bread! They always have coupons available for $5 off $20 purchase which is a great help!

Places like this are our McDonald's. If we want something cheap and fast, we go to one of these chain type places. Up until now O'Charley's has been a viable option. I wish I would have read the Yelp and Google reviews for the Avon, Indiana O'Charley's. It is TERRIBLE. I have been to several other locations and they were tolerable. This ruined me for life. Our server took our orders and bailed. We can't recall ever seeing her again until the check came. Apps and rolls came without plates because they were all dirty. This was at 11:30. They open at 11:00. Entrees came from food runners who stood at the side of the table and yelled "BLACK AND BLEU CAESAR?" "STEAK AND CHICKEN?" Our table had two app plates and a salad dish on it when the first runner came with the food. I had to ask for them to be removed and she acted like I was asking far too much of her. My Black and Bleu Caesar salad was so overdressed it was beyond edible. It was like caesar soup with lettuce. My husband ordered from the brunch menu. That was a mistake. I'm pretty sure the "omelet" was made off site as it looked like something they reheat at Dunkin Donuts. In the past, we feel like we've had decent enough food from O'Charleys, but what the five of us were served today was not good food. The bill was $82. I rounded up to $90 and I FEEL TERRIBLE ABOUT IT. We are standard 20% tippers and rarely does it fall below that. As a matter of fact, I think this is only the second time we've tipped so poorly, but the truth is she didn't even earn that $8.

This location needs new management from top to bottom. In fact it wouldnt hurt to just wipe the slate clean and get a whole new crew. Went here for my birthday October 3. The hosts always try and seat us in the bar area. This time we refused. They put us in those tiny booths in the back next to a table full of out of control screaming kids. Was a good 5 minutes before we were even greeted. Ordered the Ribeye medium well but told the server the reason i do not order well done is because i do not want charcoal. She brought out my steak and it was medium. When she finally came back to the table i sent it back, she brought it back and it wasnt any better, should have known when she brought it back in less than a minute, sent it back again and im pretty sure they microwaved it as it was now rubber, so i asked for a box and fed it to the dog when i got home. I have never once had a manager visit my table to see how my meal was with the exception of the last visit when i flagged a female manager down and she advised me that it was her last day she was a manager in training, i told her about the fact i had applied for the rewards program several times and never received anything and that my birthday was coming up, she was supposed to have the GM check into that and get back to me, of course you know that never happened. but i never expected them to contact me. They must be scraping the bottom of the barrel with servers, but then they would only be as good as the management team and it is obvious the management here couldnt care less about you or your dining experience. Rolls the past 3 visits were cold. I complained on my birthday and the server said she could cook me some fresh and it would take 10 minutes. more like 20 and i was full by the time they came but boxed them up and gave them to the dog as well. You would have thought a manager would have visited my table seeing as how my steak went back twice. Basic management 101 says the manager should bring out all recooked food. The place was not busy and in fact the old guy who was the manager on Thursday October 3rd at around 630-7pm he visited the large part that was next to us with the screaming kids and then just walked past us, then when my steak went back he was over playing with the blinds, something tells me he could have had one of the three hosts propped up at the host stand to do that while he did his job. I was not going to bother to call the store and complain, very unlikely contacting the regional manager would do any good either because if that person cared this wouldnt be going on in the first place. Reached out to the facebook staff and they just blew me off to a 800 guest relations number who thought a free app card would make me go away. nothing like a 7.25 an hour call center rep to take down your complaint. They then told me that within a few hours a high ranking manager would be giving me a call, that was a few days ago now and still no phone call. Can you see the pattern here? Ocharleys doesnt care. I got the clear message.
