Montana Mike’s Steakhouse Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

The appetizer rolls were under cooked (doughy inside). My girlfriend ordered a salad. It was supposed to have a raspberry vinaigrette dressing on it. It did not; we had to ask for it. I ordered a southwest burger. It was good, but did not have the jalapenos on it that were described (and pictured) in the menu. I was shorted $5 on my change on the $22.74 bill (I gave $40 and got back $12.26). I was intending to give a $6 tip, but instead gave nothing. Maybe they will figure out they shorted me and give it to the waitress. Or not, I couldn't care less - because overall they didn't seem to care that much about the details (be they large or small).

This is my one of my favorite steak houses. I've been here twice, and it's always been great, good atmosphere, good food, good service.

I have been to this location twice, on the way back from the Indy airport to Ft. Wayne. It resembles a Lone Star or Texas Roadhouse in both atmosphere and menu. However, I think it is a little less expensive. On this visit, I ordered the hamburger, french fries, and french onion soup. The burger had a nice, large beef patty and was very tasty. The french fries were a little wimpy, however. Others in my party had the ribs, which were fall-off-the-bone good, fried shrimp, New York strip and boneless chicken wings. All were very, very good. The lettuce wedge was HUGE. The service was good and Mike, the manager was very funny. I would definately stop here instead of the Lone Star that is down the road. I just wish they had more tv's..........

Stopped at 2:30 pm. Was seated quickly, drinks on table quickly, order taken quickly and food brought out quickly. Steak tasted as though been cooked on a grill. Big portions. Staff was great and would come here again. Need to come up with smaller portions tab on menu.

We travel I-69 often, stay at the nearby hotels, shop Meijer & Menard's, and eat close by. We decided to try Montana Mike's, and WoW what a change. It was OK before, but being under new management, the facility is "like new;" very clean, & with very nice , competent servers. We got our meals in a timely manner, & they were served fresh & hot. What a great ASSET; an EXCELLENT "steakhouse" when we visit this area.

We were just here 9/6/2014....29 People in our Group.... Yeah, most places choke on a group like this. I called them weeks in advance and setup group dinner for 25 at 5pm. When I neglected to show, they called me... I thought it was 7pm. They politely made change and then accommodated our growing group as the nite progressed. Drinks were timely and fast, everyone's orders were cooked correct, not a single plate returned. Appetizers were timely and early with drinks and everyone had a seat. I was so pleased with the service, food and execution we expect to return next year. I think this is one of the best managed restaurants I've eaten at. The waitress gave me clues, that they are coached well, and were receptive to our very diverse group. Kudo's

I was in Anderson on business and came in about 4pm with a co-worker. The server was awesome! I wish I could remember her name but she was very bubbly and made some good recommendations. I got the catfish filets which were very fresh and perfectly cooked. My co-worker got the burger and said it was great. Over all the value was extremely good, we ate for less that $30 including a 20% tip. I highly recommend this restaurant since there really insnt a lot to choose from in this town.

Do not recommend. Food was awful. Ordered the Hickory burger and it was over cooked, and had no flavor. Alcoholic drinks had no alcohol in them...only good thing was the bread rolls Service was good though, so one star for that. Not coming back here

Great food, great service, awesome atmosphere. Love this place. If you like steak I would highly recommend their rib eye mid rare. I have eaten here many times and it's always been great. No complaints. Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back.

Let me begin by simply stating I don't see myself going back anytime soon. The nacho appetizer was highly recommended by our waitress. These were wrong on so many levels. Let's begin with the cheese, though real cheese was a good idea in principle, after cooling it became tough and clumped together making the nachos hard to eat. A heads up that they contained beans would of been nice, not everybody in my party is a bean person. Finally, by sliding them into the broiler to melt the cheese, you burnt the chips not protected by the cheese. My steak ordered MEDIUM rare was served rare. No biggie here, when it comes to steak better under than over. Over and it's going back. The trim on it was PATHETIC, leaving way too much fat and gristle on it. The plating was HORINDIOUS at best. Our waitress was WAY over friendly. I don't appreciate being touched, and even hugged by my waitress. What they got right: The house breaded onion rings were amazing. The "chip" sauce was very good with a rather unique flavor, smoky, spicy, and coyingly sweet. My bar drink, an old fashioned was mixed and served proper. A little on the strong side, but who complains about getting too much alcohol?!?

Well- I tried to like this place, but I just can't. I tried it 2 nights in a row as I was staying in the hotel next door. The first night I had the ribs and the catfish combo. The ribs were the proverbial "falling off the bone" and smothered in BBQ sauce. Not terrible, but you could tell they were fresh off the Sysco truck. No character, little flavor, and literally smothered in too much sauce. The catfish was meh. Not awful, but it was ok. House salad was good, though! Rolls were tasty! The next night I went for French Onion soup- well, this was a poor effort. If you're going to offer this dish, commit to it. Broil the cheese and brown the cheese to perfection. My cheese was bone white and barely melted. It was a poor effort- plus, it had croutons instead of bread. Service was fine! Almost too friendly...but, that's being too picky. $1 bud light drafts was a nice feature for sure. Bottom line...if you are staying in the hotel next door, this is the right choice if you're going to have some beers. If you aren't, go somewhere else.

Giant size beers, fried mushrooms are perfect, hand breaded onion rings. Bison burger to boot. Service is a objective variable but food is good for a chain restaurant. We drew mike tonight as our server. Fantastic job; dude is top notch !

Dinner here on a wed night. Food was ok. Clean and had friendly service. Selection at the bar seemed sparse.

NOT impressed!! For a steakhouse I would have expected a " steak done right experience".. I had the t-bone med rare that was med well.. Dried out over cooked potato,.. Pre- made soggy salad... And a NICE WARM ROLL with some crappy cinnamon butter... For the Money I had a better meal at Ponderosa!

Good service, waitress was very response and quick. Ordered a 12 oz Ribeye with melted bleu cheese and bacon - tasted great. Would come again.

This location is just off the Interstate highway, which makes it handy if you are travelling... just head away from Anderson at the interchange. Service was top notch! I also appreciated the lack of TV sets in the dining area (plenty in the bar area) that let me relax in the dining area after a long drive. Food was good overall - to be absolutely picky, the 8oz sirloin was ordered medium well and was definitely well done, but it was still flavorful and tender so I didn't feel the need to complain. If I wanted to, the server was so attentive that I am confident it would have been taken care of. A good sized baked potato and fresh garden salad were just fine, and I really like the rolls! Overall I plan on stopping in again in my travels.

Friendly staff, kitchen not so much. Ordered the sirloin medium rare, it came out raw. Asked for a properly cooked one, and 5min later the waitress brought the same piece of steak heated up. Apparently the standard here is to throw food eaten by customers back on the grill. Nice and sanitary.

I have three stars because of the food. 12 oz Rib eye that was 3/8 think and not tender. Not impressed. But only time I tried.

Swift service at lunch, very accommodating wait staff, and great food. Beef cooked to order perfectly.

It was...meh. Service was great, it was cozy in there, rolls and pretzel sticks were just okay, and food was decent enough. All tastes like frozen, canned, or otherwise prepackaged food, same as Outback, Texas Road House, etc. Nothing special, but good enough, and filling.

Just had a great dinner at Montana Mikes. Both my husband had the 8oz filet mignons and they were both cooked perfectly! I had the lettuce wedge salad and it was retro and great. Our server was Mika and she was attentive and knowledgable about the menu. We then met the owner David Baker who wanted to make sure that our dinners were fine. And they were! Would recommend if you're in the mood for a good steak and homemade potato chips!

I've read the rest of the reviews...this place is a classic American Steakhouse...rolls w/cinnamon butter w/big steaks etc. Outback/Roadhouse/Montana Mike's are all similar. We had excellent service. Lemonade was always over half full & a new glass was on the table. We did find a hair in the Nacho Appetizer & w/in 2 minutes the Manager was out & apologized. Mike's has limited booth seating & we had to sit in a cheezy 70's McD's style seats but there's a pleasant atmosphere w/great, friendly staff. Great location off of the Interstate...really, who wants to stop in Anderson?? Food is good & we had more than we could eat. I just wish this place had something else cuz its too similar to other Steak Shacks. Easilly a top Restaurant in Anderson w/GREAT location considering Interstate is 75 feet away.

Food is good. I like the steamed vegetables as one of my side dishes. The salads are good, too. Most times the music is too loud, but if you ask to have it turned down they do it.

I really like Montana Mike's. The only problem with this location is that it's kind of out of the way. Out of sight, out of mind. Since it's all the way out by the interstate, I hardly ever think to go there. But I really do like the food and the atmosphere is good. My favorite dish is the country fried steak. Probably the best around. They have very good rice as well. This is a fun place and I enjoy it, if only I could ever remember to go!
