100% typical Fast Food Joint. The most welcome menu item is the Dave's Hot 'n' Juicy. Somehow they managed to recreate the original "juicy" burger that made them famous in the first place. Anyone else remember when they started out? The burgers were so juicy they were a mess to eat. We could eat any other FF burger in the car, but we always ate in at Wendy's, the burgers were THAT juicy. Then they turned into dried up flat bricks. And didn't they get smaller too? Anyhow, the Dave's Hot 'n' Juicy redeems Wendy's in every way. Delish. I've always been fond of their grilled chicken -- in the old days they were the only ones who offered an actual grilled chicken breast sandwich, now they all have this option and they're pretty much the same, but it's a good choice (anywhere, really). The Asiago Ranch fried chicken breast sandwich was OK. The chicken nuggets are also OK (I don't mean that to sound negative, OK is good - you just won't remember the meal the next day). I haven't had a salad at Wendy's since back in the day when they had a salad bar, but I'm sure they do them as well as anyone. They look good. They have above-average fries, good chili, the baked potatos are a nice option you don't get at most FF joints. Frostys are always a treat, always liked 'em, used to wish they had other flavors (chocolate is my least favorite ice cream flavor) and now they do, plus parfaits, floats and what-not. Can't go wrong here. The flavored teas weren't ... my cup o' tea. Tasted overbrewed or something. A bit too bitter. But that's my taste, I don't like it sweet, but I also don't like it bitter. Smooth and refreshing maybe? Yeah, this tea ain't that. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong at Wendy's, there isn't a bad item on the menu, but nothing I crave, either. Re: Other reviews, I saw no cleanliness issues and never had an issue with service. Update: "Premium" cod sandwich. Uhh .. better than a McFish or whatever McDonald's calls theirs, but premium? It's a little too thin for me to consider it a premium sandwich. Tastes OK. The bun was a bit over-toasted, maybe sat a little too close to the heat lamps or something (purchased via the drive-thru and the sandwich was INSTANTLY available).

I live in Woodstock and if i am craving Wendy's, I will intentionally drive to Crystal Lake or Richmond. This one is downright awful - mostly food and cleanliness. We like to see local businesses success and wanted to share our feedback in hopes that they would make an attempt to improve this Wendy's. We left a message with the owner via the Wendy's website and never received a response. If they don't care, then neither do I.

Visited this Wendy's today through the drive-thru. I ordered a sandwich plain and when I got back to work it had the works on it. So I called and talked to the store manager who apologized and offered me a replacement meal the next time I visit. As this store is close to my work I visit often and this is the first time in 4 years I have ever had a problem with my sandwich there. I love their food, the fries are so much better now! Thank you Wendy's!

We were -- in fact -- starving, as some of the other reviewers somewhat harshly suggested. The food was fine. The place was clean and the staff was friendly enough. I mean, most run-of-the-mill fast-food workers are a little shell-shocked, but most respond well to a little kindness and humor. I like Wendy's. Since childhood they represented a departure from the sometimes lifeless product offered by another national chain. From square burgers to my addiction to chocolate Frostys, I have to say I'm a Wendy's guy (when I'm not a Burger King guy or a Hardees/Carl's Jr guy.) This place was inoffensive, quick -- not terribly busy when we visited. Got nothin' against the place; and it's right on the way out of town for me, so it's convenient.
