Best Culver's location. Waffle cones are made fresh when ordered. Comes with a plastic holder to prevent leaks, and an appropriately sized spoon. The nuts, etc. are plentiful. You guys set the standard. Why don't other locations deliver the same product?

    A) I love the word "custard." It could draw me off a highway anytime. B) I admit to be suckered in by their television commercials. C) The opportunity to try one presented itself on a wet night, hungry highway trip. So while I rarely review fafu joints, this one was significant since I had some expectations. And I must say, they were all met. I was not aware of all the food choices available here, and was tormented by the choice of a burger or their much-touted fresh fish filet sandwich. And there are many other sandwich choices, as well as a dinner "diner" style option where you can order, for instance, the fish filets with a potato and vegetable. Already, they set themselves apart from at least most of their burger competitors. I opted for that perfectly named "butter burger," avec fromage, and a double s'il vous plait. Be ready to choose your toppings, in that "Have it your way," BK tradition. Everything tasted fresh, including the beef. The burgers are the thin, old-fashioned griddle style, brought back in popularity by people such as Five Guys Burgers. And I would say Culver's is just as good as those. The price is right at $7-8.00 for the combo with drink and fries. It's not completely self-service with counter orders and table delivery maybe five minutes later. It was busy that evening, and yet the delivery was fast and friendly. I watched the other around eating custard, so I'll have to come back for that. Culver's will probably become one those midway trip stops pour moi.

I'm a frequent flier on Highway 20 thru Winnebago. By the way Highway 20 commission, I'm still waiting for my card in the mail and my promised discounts on future trips. So I've been here a few times. Driving burns a lot of calories so I need to replace those with ice cream. Concrete mixers are always a good choice. I've also had a some of the meals including the chicken dinner. But I really like the Snack Pak meals because then I can not feel bad about getting ice cream too. This Culver's can sometimes be hit or miss for service. On a Friday night when I stopped, I had to wait in line to place my order but there were a ton of workers just standing around. Other times I've visited and my ice cream is handed to me 30 seconds after I pay.

Coworkers and I go once every other week and enjoy the food. The workers are friendly and attentive. I have tried their salads, soups, sandwiches and fries. All are delicious. And their frozen custard is always good.

Dropped in here for a quick bite as we were passing by on our way to Chicago. We wanted something other than one of the big chains and figured it couldn't be too bad. It turns out that it was really nice for a burger joint. I especially liked the variety of sides (fried cheese curds were a nice treat) and the psuedo-table service. Walk up ordering but they bring your food out, sort of like Whataburger in Texas, but I prefer Culvers over them for sure. I would definitely stop in again!

I stop here usually on my way from Lena to Sycamore to visit friends so most of my experience is drive-thru. First...whoever started the drive-thru greeting of "Welcome to Delicious" is a genius. One of the workers told me when I complimented them on it that it started as a joke and stuck. I LOVE IT. It makes my day EVERY TIME I go through. Don't stop! I usually get the double burger or the crispy chicken. Amazing and delicious. Culver's fries are the second best chainwide fast food fries (sorry, but Portillo's MAY have them beat on fries) and their cheese curds are NOT to be missed. Rasberry shake anyone? *faints* YUM. I have NEVER had them screw up my order going through THIS drive-thru. They are always polite and usually pretty quick. I rarely have to wait long (but it really is worth it for cooked-to-order goodness!)

This has been my 2nd time at Culver's, ever. On the way to Dubuque, husband and I stopped here for lunch. I got a Garden Salad and small fries. The salad was great. It was full of veggies and a good size. The fries, on the other hand, looked like they were undercooked and not salted at all (is that a Culver's thing?) Even though it was Fourth of July, the service was quick and really friendly.
