Some of the best thin crust around!!!

I was really unimpressed by this place. Pulled up here at night and the dark, sketchy lot and the bright red lit up sign shining over what seemed like a hole in the wall pizza shack got me excited. Authentic pizza, here we come. First ordered the chicken wings....awful. They were very heavily breaded, overcooked so you're biting into thick crust everywhere, and left with very little meat to spare underneath. Disappointing. But was hoping to be redeemed by the pizza. Like the wings, the pizza came out blazing hot. But, there was nothing so impressive about it. Maybe I'm not a huge fan of thin crust pizza (hence allowing a 3 instead of a 2 rating), but it tasted almost like a gourmet pizza I bought from the supermarket and heated up myself. The cheese was the kind that would harden soon after the pizza cooled, the crust was cooked perfectly in the oven but didn't seem all so fresh, and the ingredients were so-so. I really tried to like this place because 4 and a half stars on yelp is really saying something. But, I've had much better pizzas at many other places.

It's ok pizza, not sure what some people are excited about. Because I live 3 min away I wish it was a 4.5 star pizza(convenience), but they have to go...

Late one evening, my boyfriend and I were craving pizza, and given that it was really late and all the good pizza places around were already closed, I restored to the almighty Yelp and found Joe's Pizza still open. I remember coming here a long time ago, so we figured why not and give it a try. Since then, we have ordered for delivery numerous of times because this has got to be one of the best thin crust pizza's around. Though it's very greasy, it's super delicious and it comes cut In small pieces, which is very convenient when eating at home. The crust is crispy, but not so hard that hurts your teeth, and they don't put too much sauce or cheese. Service is very friendly, fast, and the delivery guys (I think we've had two) are super nice. Every time you order, they give you a huge card, and when you collect 15, you can get a free large sausage pizza or a shirt. Cool idea for sure, but who wants a shirt when you get free food? :) One thing to note is if you are picking up the pizza yourself, the outside of the restaurant/plaza its located on comes off as VERY shady. I don't know why, but it reminds me of some underground, illegal strip-club joint. It's def not the case, esp when you enter Joe's because of the very friendly staff, but just something to keep in mind and not get scared off ;-) One other thing to mention is that since they are open late every night of the week, they don't open until 4pm. When watching the Bears game this past Sunday, and craving Joe's pizza, we found that out the hard way. Oh well...

Love this place. I order pizza here all the time. The area is a little scary but the food is amazing!! I always order the cheesy garlic bread. Oh wow! It will blow your mind. I love the thin crust. Tastes even better cold!

  • Kevin G.

A Wheeling native told me about this place. Wow! I can honestly stop searching for Pizza places now. I will not have to go anywhere else. Who cares about the Ambience or "supposed" sketchy parking lot. It's about the Pizza, great flavour, fresh toppings and 70-80's decor. Just go you'll love it!

Soooo good! Delivery fee is a little high, but it's worth it.

As far as thin crust pizza in the Chicago area goes, Joe's is definitely my favorite. Crust is always done just right (crispy but not burnt) and the sausage on the pizza is blended to perfection. The building may seem dingy, but don't let that stop you from eating here. Definitely a must stop for thin crust pizza.

  • Doreen O.

My friend and I came in here for dinner. The server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean. Prices are low. Parking lot is sketchy. We ordered mozzarella sticks and a thin sausage pizza. The mozzarella sticks were okay, but I wish I could say the same about the pizza. It was perfectly crunchy, sausage was good, but pizza had little flavor. I do not understand what everyone keeps raving about. Were we at the wrong Joe's??? We'll give it another try!

Thank you yelpers! I ordered food from here based on the reviews and was very happy! The thin crust was fantastic! The sauce on the pizza wasnt overly salty and the crust was fantastic. I am happy they serve rc cola as well :)

This is the best cracker crust pizza in NW suburbs! I LOVE this pizza....old school place, old school sign....reminds me of all those little family walk up places I grew up with in Chicago. Sauce is great not too sweet or salty, cheese is not too salty either, FRESH mushrooms! I even love it they don't have a huge size.... Order two! Also ask for small cuts.......it's really nice ;-D

When I saw Joe's Pizzeria for the first time, I honestly did not believe it would be good. It looks like a nasty hole in the wall, but they make some great pizza in that hole in the wall. If you like thin crust, this is your place. Their delivery does take a while, but the pizza is well worth the wait.

This place is pretty gross on the inside. I wouldn't be surprised to find some creepy crawly's wandering around. And from the outside it is a very unassuming place. I almost didn't go in when i saw it. I am glad I did though. While the pizza isn't great, it is tasty, and is a good value. Their large pizza (which is a medium) served myself and my father pretty well. It is a thin crust, cut in squares, with no fancy toppings. It was a little greasy, but overall surprisingly good. My dad had a small salad and two diet RC's as well. All in the meal cost us $20 bucks (that included a tip since we ate it there). I would come back if i was in the area, but i certainly wouldn't drive here from the city. I am not even sure if i would have this delivered, because in the time it takes to get anywhere it might cool off and lose a little flavor. But if you are nearby, stop in. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

When I order pizza, I'm not looking for a healthy alternative to whatever is in the fridge. I look for a hot, greasy, delicious, fast meal to pile into my face. Joe's Pizzeria covers that and beyond. Let's just say - I lived in Wheeling for about 8 months before I decided to try Joe's. The strip mall it is located in made me hesitant about trying the food. Needless to say, I was very wrong about my assumptions. The crust is phenomenal... light, crispy. The sauce is, very surprisingly, tasty and has a rich flavoring. And the cheese is, well... greasy and delicious! From the look of the place (inside and out) you'd expect bland, cheap pizza. And it is ONLY the latter - my boyfriend and I ordered a large pizza for under $10. It was huge! We also tried the Italian beef and fries. The beef was great for $3.95 and I wouldn't order the fries again. Great place!!!!!!!

One of the best thin crust pizzas around. I always get it to go cause I'm not to crazy about the dining area. If you want a really good thin crust pizza with just the old stand by fixins (no fresh spinach please!) then this is your place. Bring it home and open a beer and go to work! 5 stars for the pizza only.

  • Peter Q.

My favorite pizza place in the world. Seriously. What can I say, I love thin crust and I have been a fan of this place since 1990. Every time I am in Chicago I do whatever I can to come here. Drive an hour out of my way? You bet! I just love their pizza. No pan full of slop and sauce, just good thin, crispy pizza served cut into little squares. Awesome....

  • Kelly E.

This is really a 3 1/2 star review, but I put up the 4 stars since I thought they were cool. Pizza was good- but not great (so sorry!). Spinach is not fresh, but rather frozen (could tell by the color, taste, and the way it looks), and the mushrooms were sparse but fresh. The bacon was plentiful...which I loved! Not crumbles of crap, but rather sizable pieces. Don't judge a book by its cover, man. Decor is dated and simple, but I liked it. The looks of the place from the outside confused me (thought it was take out only)...but I looked it up on Yelp and figured out it had a dining area. RC Cola products might tick some people off...but I liked this too. Felt sorta retro ;) The place was pretty inexpensive, and that is always a nice perk.

Finally a thin crust pizza that I thoroughly enjoyed. The crust and bottom of the pizza was crispy just enough that it gave it a nice texture. The sauce was delicious and I seriously wish this place was closer to where I live because I would definitely be a regular. We also ordered the wings and to my surprise, the wings also were quite tasty, flavorful and fresh. The decor is plain and old, but don't mistake the ambiance for what goes on in the kitchen.

  • Tony M.

Joes has an amazing thin crust pizza. Yes this place is quite dumpy inside but everyone just orders out anyway. A large cheese and sausage pizza will cost you around 15 bucks and its good for 2 people. light flaky crust, fresh toppings, and hearty sauce make it great. Don't know why the dominos down the street is still in business..

  • Martin S.

A hole in the wall serving the best thin crust pizza in the area. If I order pizza it's from this place.

    (5)
  • Julie F.

Lots of flavor in their thin and crispy pizza! The mozzarella sticks, while hot, didn't seem very fresh. I assume they were just frozen and from a box. For pizza - I recommend Joe's for sure!

    (4)
  • Christopher P.

Awful, awful food. The pizza drips with nasty grease no matter the topping combination, which turns the whole pie to mush. The restaurant itself is filthy and the people making the food are unclean. I cannot understand why this place has such a loyal following. I guess people just love horrible food.

  • Raul B.

best pizza in wheeling. but only 3 stars because the place is dirty. the location is gang affected and you must watch for your personal belongings.

  • Francie F.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. So from the outside Joe's looks a little rundown. Mostly because the stip center its in doesn't seem to be well kept. Once you step inside, meet the staff and take a bite of there pizza you'll be sold. Excellent crispy thin pizza. Just the right balance between sauce and cheese too. Coming from a huge pizza lover this place is a must!

I could easily consider Joe's the best thin crust pizza in all of the burbs. Very crispy thin crust and a great sauce. Pizzas are small so order alot.

If you ever want good pizza, 'Joe's Pizza' is the best place to go. I've lived in Wheeling all my life and I can say that there is no competition for Joe's around here. This place is great. The people there are very nice, the service is fast, and the quality of the pizza is always good. I always order the Hawaiian or supreme pizza, and I don't think I've ever complained about it. The crust is thin for those of you who don't really like thick crust , and it's big enough to share with a couple of people. Definitely somewhere you should check out if you're thinking about ordering some pizza.

Near my home in Georgia, good pizza choices aren't exactly abundant. But being that I'm a real road warrior for a living, I've been fortunate to have enjoyed some of the best that our fine country has to offer. So when I was staying in a nearby Wheeling hotel, I wanted a good thin crust pizza. Yelp found Joe's for me, so I chedked out their website, decided on a suitable pie - pepperoni and sausage - and called to order. My order was taken by a friendly woman, who informed me that it would be here "within the hour", and it was. Right off the bat I liked that the pizza arrived nicely hot and not in your typical big cardboard box, but on a thin cardboard round inside a large paper "envelope", stapled shut. What a great way to save resources without sacrificing heat or cleanliness! The pizza was very good - not the best I've ever had, but certainly entirely enjoyable. The thin crust was crispy and flavorful, there was the right amount of cheese, sauce and meats, and everything tasted great. Good work! By the way, I only give five stars for "absolute perfection", not just for "really good", which this definitely was! I would definitely order from Joe's again!

  • Jayd M.

Landed in O'Hare at midnight, starving from travelling all day. I looked up places close to where I would be staying and picked Joe's because it sounded great and was open late. I ordered the small pizza with sausage. Honestly, it was awesome. Beautiful thin crust, light, perfect taste. I was hoping not to consume the entire thing, but I did. Highly recommended.

Pizza is my favorite pizza of the suburbs(next to barnabys and nancys) and the delivery is FAST. Kind of pricey though. I have never been inside so I cannot confirm or deny the state of the inside. I may have to check it out for the fun of it and update the review. Christopher P. You haven't been to this place in 15 years and you all of a sudden get the urge to write a review? Just wondering how that process came up.

joes pizza is some of the greasiest shit out there...im talkin paper towels worth...but id be lying if i said it wasnt good

Joe's Pizza has the best thin crust pizza. We've been coming here for years now and have never been disappointed. Their steak fries are also wonderful and we always order some with our pizza. We usually order a 1/2 sausage 1/2 mushroom pizza and rarely are there any leftovers. The restaurant is tiny, with maybe 6 or 7 tables. The wait staff is nice and helpful but dress sloppy.

The place was a pleasant surprise, and I will definitely be going back again. I was in the mood for some fried chicken, but didn't want any of the nearby fast food variety (KFC, Popeye's, etc). A quick yelp search led me to Joe's, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was fresh, crispy, and delicious. And it was priced lower than KFC as well. My wife said it was the best fried chicken she's ever had. I don't know if I would go that far, but it was very, very good. Haven't tried the pizza yet, but it looked and smelled delicious. I will definitely be going back to try some soon after my positive experience with the chicken. I only wish I had found this place sooner. I recommend you check their website or Twitter feed for coupons and specials before ordering.

What can I say about joes. It's one of my favorite thin crust pizzas in the burbs. I grew up on this pizza through high school. It delivers late on the weekends which is a plus. Don't let the sketchy area fool you, this place rocks. The apps are not so good, stick with the pizza. You may need some paper towels to soak up the grease but the flavor is outstanding, especially after a night of drinking. I highly recommend ordering the bacon well-done, trust me in this one.

I have been eating at Joe's since the late 60s and it amazes me how little it has changed. You keep with what works and boy does it work! They make the best thin crust pizza in the area!!

My favorite thin crust pizza in the entire Chicago-land area. Perfect amounts of sauce and cheese and fresh toppings. We order from here at least once a week (hey, we're a lazy family). The best part is they deliver to Arlington Heights! They are open late and deliver up until 1am on weekends, which is awesome. My food always arrives fast and piping hot and I've never been disappointed!

  • Patrick K.

One of my favorite spots for take out pizza. The place isn't really suitable to dine in, but you could if you wanted I guess. Delivery drivers are always fast and very curtious as well. I've learned to stick with 1 or 2 ingredients at this place. Anything more turns into a soggy mess.

    (5)
  • Ben M.

Best za you can get in the area, hands down. They offer upwards of 15 different toppings if you have obscure tastes. They got good burgers for cheap too... AND a big plus for my buddys and I is that they are open till 2am!! If that doesn't sway you, they got a jukebox, so you don't have to listen to built in crappy radio, like at other places.

  • Kathie G.

I currently live in San Diego, and wish there was at least one pizza place 1/2 as good as Joe's Pizza! The crust is thin and and delicious. Crust this thin is sometimes like cardboard -- NOT at Joe's. The sauce and the sausage are incredible and everything is cooked perfectly. It's no wonder they've been in business for all these years. They deliver late and it's always hot and fresh! They also have the best fried chicken. Whenever I go home to Chicagoland to visit friends and family, Joe's is always on my list of places I MUST go! One year I was in chicago for a conference and I brought all of my collegues with me to their Wheeling location -- they are still talking about Joe's today!!

    (5)
  • Bob S.

Pretty darn good thin crust pizza. I can't say it's the best, since it's the only thin crust I had while visiting Chicago. They were open late (or later than surrounding restaurants, at least), so they also get my praise for that. We did take out not eat in. The dining room looked older and I'm not even sure anyone was eating there, but it was late. I'm not inclined to eat in here. The restaurant itself is in a somewhat older building (to put it nicely perhaps) but don't let that dissuade you from good food and friendly, helpful service.

  • Michael M.

The cornmeal crust is WONDERFUL! I suggest ordering the pizza WELL DONE, otherwise, with the paper-thin crust, it tends to get a liitle wet in the center. They package the pizzas up in a bag, which keeps the humidity in and the flavor in!

    (5)
  • Jo Z.

Best thin crust pizza EVER! Always good. Always quality ingredients. Order the sausage pizza, it's the best. Been getting pizza from here since 1984! We know people who have moved and they drive back to town just to pick up pizza! Some go to the new Palatine location! Bottom line, great pizza. Love the crust.

  • Bruce N.

Joe's is like the classic thin crust pizza that you grew up on. (That is, if you grew up in the 60's and lived on Biasetti's Pizza, on Touhy, in Lincolnwood.) It has a crispy outer crust and loads of fresh, quality toppings. The layer of grease on top will gross some of you out (go ahead and use that paper towel to blot it up), but it just rekindles memories of my childhood! The homemade sauce is "just right"... thick enough to "hug" the dough, but not too heavy. Unfortunately, like most thin pizza, the more veggies on it the soggier the inner part of the pizza gets. It's cut into SQUARES, the way a thin pizza ought to be, and always gets to my door hot. The place has been around since 1957 (I think) and also offers pasta, chicken and sandwiches. Best of all, they deliver LATE (for the 'burbs) and it's REALLY REASONABLE. They also have a location on Rand Rd, in Palatine, which opened about a year ago. Next time you're thinking about Pizza Hut or Domino's... spend the extra buck or two and have the real thing!

  • Lori E.

We had a delivery. It was pretty fast, warm and super delicious. It was not crispy but I guess its because of extra chese on our pizza. French fries was not my best experience, but its pizza place. My 5 Is for pizza taste and service) Thank you guys

  • Chet M.

I love the old school tough guy spartan look of their dining room. Just like how might have looked when they opened 45 years ago. Very good thin crust crispy pizza, gotta be in the top 10 in the Chicagoland area. Bucket of fried chicken is fresh and good too. Woulda been nice if they threw in some cole slaw with our big sit down order....

By far the best thin crust pizza you can find in the surrounding suburbs of Chicago!! I think the "secret" to this amazing pizza is in the sauce... it is just so good!!

    (5)
  • Shama J.

This pizza is amazing. It is probably the best thin crust pizza that I have ate. The place isn't the cleanest, but you can't hate on their pizza. I have not tried anything else from their menu, but I am sure it is as good. The reason I can't give it five stars is because of how expensive it is. I do think that pay 25 bucks for a family size is a little absurd. I get that it is a family business, but they should also account for the people they are serving!

    (4)
  • Sue M.

Delicious pizza and prices are reasonable. You pay by the topping. We usually order two meat toppings and add our own veggies at home. Also love their antipasto salad. Will definitely be coming back for dinner or a late night snack.

It's hard finding good pizza places open late in the suburbs, so it's great that Joe's can satisfy my cravings til 1-2 am. The location is divey and it's not the most welcoming place from the side of the road, but that neon sign is like a glimmer of heaven in the middle of nowhere. I went in and Joe? greeted me warmly and let me think about my order. My phone died so I couldn't show him the Facebook offer for free wings, but he gave them to me anyway! I got a large thin crust mushroom and sausage pizza, which took 20 minutes. I sat in the little dining area in the side while waiting and the waitress was very nice as she checked on me to ask if I needed anything. Being here reminds me of stepping back in time because it's an old mom and pop shop that even has a jukebox! The store is old, but it is very clean and I saw they even mopped the bathroom. Eventually, my pizza came and I took my food home. It tasted fantastic! Not too oily or greased up and the ingredients were fresh! My mushrooms were in different shapes/sizes unlike the canned mushrooms they use at generic pizza chains. The sausages were plump with a bit of spice. The cheese was the gooey, melting kind. Overall, a great pizza! The wings were also delish and are crunchy and fried to perfection.

THIS place is why I LOVE Yelp so much!!!! As everyone says about Joe's, looks can and were definitely deceiving about this place......BUT, the THIN crust pizza is SO SO SO DIVINE!!!! Yes, it really is. From the flour-filled crispy crust to the homemade sauce, to the fact that each ingredient stands out on it's own and yet creates such harmony all together. It' just perfect. It's fresh, perfectly cooked. I'm glad the outside of this place and the decor are crappy and outdated, because they put everything into the product and it shows!!!!! Don't go changin' a thing, Joe!!!!! Hands down my new favorite thin crust around......it's incredibly good pizza. If you live or are anywhere around here, please do yourself a favor and stop at Joe's!!!!!!

  • Hayley S.

This place rocks. My family and I live right around the corner, so Joe's is great when we don't know what we want to eat, and it never disappoints. We usually get half sausage/half pep and it's great. The pepperoni has a really nice flavor with a little kick to it. Try it out and you won't regret it!

    (5)
  • Eddie C.

Beauty in simplicty! Excellent thin crust pizza! I agree with all the other reviews. The sauce has just the right amount of zesty sweetness. The slightly sour crust is cooked to perfection with a perfect balance of crispy and chewy. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it came with lots of cheese. This place has pizza basics and fundamentals nailed down! Highly recommended!

When I rolled over the stars, and "Meh. I've experienced better" came up for two stars, that precisely described my experience. The place was borderline clean, kind of old, and the pizza was adequate. They seemed nice enough, but we were there near the end of the night, and the place went from chilly to out-and-out cold. The pizza didn't taste like much of anything. The crust was a nice crisp consistency, but the rest of the flavor was completely uninspiring. Just, blah. The salad I ordered was iceberg lettuce with thick, out-of-the-container, generic creamy garlic dressing. Sure, they don't have to make it up fresh, but they don't have to get extra stars either. Minimal effort, minimal passion, minimal flavor, minimal experience. I've had better frozen pizzas. I think the best and shortest way to say it was that I was bored.

I've been eating at Joe's for years, It is not like any other pizza that's why sometimes it has to be Joes. I order veggie pizzas so it can be soggy in the middle. I suggest you order it well done. We usually order for delivery they always say within the hour, and it always is sometimes much quicker.

  • Robert P.

I am not a fan of deep dish pizza, so I was thrilled to find a place in the Chicago area that I can get a pretty damn good thin crust when I'm in town. At the suggestion of the wait staff I started off with the garlic cheesy bread. I didnt have any issues with vampires that night for sure! It was super yummy....I finally had to have them take it away to save room for pizza. I ordered a 12" sausage, onion, and black olive. It was tasty, and had plenty of leftovers to take back to the hotel for a little late night snack and breakfast the next morning. I understand some of the safety concerns because the apartment buildings in this neighborhood look a little sketchy. I was there just at dusk and it looks to be mostly families with young children. No issues, in fact several of the staff at the restaurant mentioned they live upstairs in the building. They use disposable plastic silverware, the building is super old, and all softdrinks are brought by the can....but I will definitely be back here.

I love Joe's thin-crust pizza! It's so very thin, and the edges are light and CRISPY!! They deliver, which is even better! And if you go online they have coupons that you can use. The lady on the phone always sounds gruff and cranky, but the pizza's worth it. This seems to have a nice authentic flavor - ingredients are good quality. For thin-crust, this is one of my "go-to" places. Definitely recommended!

  • Penny L.

Guess I won't be eating at this location anymore either. I uses to eat here several times a week and the food was always cooked well and I had no complaints. Last week, I ordered French fries and asked for them to be on the limper side as I don't care for super burnt fries. When I got them home, they were burnt to a crisp. So I called and told them and the rude woman who takes the orders said, "well then maybe you just shouldn't order fries here again!" Terrible customer service! I would have gone back for replacement fries even but fine, if you don't want my business, then that's that. See you later, joe's!

Ordered large half cheese and half pepperoni and sausage for a little over $15.00. Location is an immediate right past Dundee and Wolf road. Would probably go there again but only with a coupon or special.

Great thin crust, fast delivery and came in a bag rather than box which was kinda cool. I picked this place based on YELP reviews and was glad I did. However, was driving by and saw the joint and probably wouldn't have chosen it based on appearance so glad for YELP.

The pizza and customer service is consistently good. Both the thin crust and the double dough are yummy, the sauce to cheese ratio is always spot- on, and delivery is always within the time frame given at the time of order.

This place is gold in an area laden with lackluster pizza places. This particular pizza spot is one off favorites when I want to enjoy a well made Chicago style THIN crust pizza out in suburbialand, yes that means that they slice their pies in awesome squares like Chicago style thin should be! I will say they are kind of hit-or-miss lately when you order for delivery or on a busy night. I always order a family size thin crust with pepperoni and light garlic. Lately when I order delivery they undercook the pizza, making it very flimsy and chewy. On some occasions they do deliver the legendary pizza they are ...well...legendarily known for! It's crispy and deliciously addictive! But for the most part you are better off picking up. Don't order the pizza bread, it won't live up to expectations. Neither will the wings as they don't come with sauce! I know...I know...it should be a crime but they say the sauce is "in the breading" this is a lie, just order more pizza and skip the wings. Final thought: When they do it right they can compete with any of the top neighborhood pizza places in Chicago. Honest. Also, they have a location in Palatine that I actually prefer to order from. Tip: order it well done!

Amazing pizza! I love the crust and how it does not get soggy with all our toppings, it stays nice and crispy and you can taste the freshness to the sauce and veggies. We have been coming here for many years and always recommend it to our friends and family when they are in town. Keep up the great work.

I was very surprised how good the pizza was here. This has became me and my boyfriends favorite pizza spot. We drive 30 minutes just to have us some joes. Amazing wings too.

Wow! All that John S has said is true. I have had non-pizza menu selections at Joe's, but had not had the chance until today to order a pizza. I'm a Chicago born Sicilian so for me a thin crust is too much of a culture shock, but the pizza I have been getting lately is more carbs than my aging body can handle. Nevertheless, just can't make the total crossover to the thin side. Joe's had a perfect solution, "double the dough". It was perfect. Not the thick Sicilian my grandma from Sicily would make and not the "thin" cracker rather something in-between that satisfied my most inner-delight. Fresh veggies and sausage that was absolutely the best. Some places crumble the sausage to the point of not even tasting it. Other slice it and dry it out. Joe's put on small chucks the way it was meant to be. I moved from Lakeview area and have been trying out the neighborhood in Wheeling. This has been one of my best finds thanks to John S, a Yelp friend.

Best thin crust pizza in the north suburbs! Reminds me of my favorite pizza place in the city (Pat's pizza).

I cannot stress how tasty this pizza is. Crust isn't burn or too tough, toppings are all great choices and on whichever combination. They're open LATE, so when you and your pot-head buddies need to snack, this place is open past 11pm and later. Extremely close and convenient. All around: Great Pizza.

Joe's Pizza makes my favorite thin crust pizza - thin cheese with mushroom. The crust is thin and crispy. Most of the time, I pick up, but the few times I've had it delivered, it was piping hot. The first time I walked into Joe's, I felt like I was brought back in time to one of the little pizza joints I used to go to as a kid back in Brooklyn. I loved that feeling!

I have been eating Joes pizza for about 35 years! My kids grew up on it and now that I'm a grandmother, THEIR children, eat it too! It is simply the best thin crust that I know of in the suburbs. If ambiance is what you need, you'll be sorely disappointed. I ALWAYS order take-out and pick it up.However, for taste and consistency, it's perfection. The price is and always has been reasonable. This is a family run business, and they take pride in the product they offer. Sandi

First time we've tried this place... Had the double-dough pizza, which was just ok. Well made, just doesn't have a lot flavor... i found myself having to add lots of parmesan and salt to the pizza. Our server was very nice and attentive but I was more worried about the the kitchen staffer (you sit right next to the kitchen due to the small size of the place) who sneezed 4 times... VERY loudly. I'm not sure if he was actually preparing the food, but I hoping we don't all get sick.

I tried Joe's for the first time last Friday and I have to say it's THE best thin crust pizza I've ever had. I live in Mundelein and Bill's Pizza is pretty famous for their thin crust. I always thought it was the best until I had Joe's. The crust was thin and crispy and had just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are in every bite. Very friend staff too. I think I talked to the owner when I was there. And one more thing, the pizza comes in a bag! I think it helps keep the pizza warmer and crispier!

I ordered fried chicken for delivery. Instead I got bbq chicken. I called to try to get the order I wanted and the chick got hostile with me right away telling me that the order that they sent was correct because apparently I dont know what I like to eat! Thanks but ill stick with ninos from now on.

They are not friendly plus they got my order wrong. If you're looking for amazing thin crust pizza go to Nino's Pizza. If you're looking for nasty cheap pizza then help yourself and go to Joe's Pizza. I don't understand why there are soo many good reviews...I guess everyone is looking for cheapness and not quality!!! Either people keep coming here bc they are broke or just cheap!!!

I give Joe's 2 stars because they have a small selection, their burgers are cheap but in my opinion very gross and mainly because I feel like the pizza could be a lot better. The pizza is a good price and the crust is very yummy and crispy but the cheese....YUCK. So salty and greasy.. If they would use a good cheese, their thin crust could be really good..

We tried this place for the first time and were completely unimpressed. The cheese pizza tasted like it came out of a microwave and the garlic bread was soggy and chewy. In an area filled with pizza places, we didn't see any reason to come back here.

Don't let the outside of this place fool you!! This is amazing pizza in an area surrounded by cardboard like pizza. When my fiancé and I first moved to Wheeling a neighbor told us about this place and we were a little skeptical because of the appearance but boy would we have missed out! The pizza is great, the perfect thin crust! They deliver and it's pretty quick delivery service. There are usually coupons either on their website or that come in the Value Packs that are mailed to you.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
