Past experience was usually good at this Chili's so we decided to try this again last night. Surprise #1 was the short wait (humm). Surprise #2 was the new menu. Downhill from there. The pulled pork sandwich couldn't be ordered without the cramelized onions because "it comes that way and can't be ordered without it" Huh? I imagined some five gallon bucket of pulled pork from a central slaughterhouse processing plant that get microwaved and smeared on a bun. No thanks, how about the the mini burgers. "Good choice, they are yummy" says the waitress. The boy orders a burger with no cheese or mayo, the wife orders a chicken cesear salad. The food comes. The boy's burger has BOTH cheese and mayo. Luckily, the cheese is able to be pulled off, but he struggles through the mayo. My mini burgers are good, but why are the fries so salty. Why? The fries seem good, but why the excess salt. Ugh. The wife's salad said chicken, but it took five minutes to find any chicken since the the thing was covered with fist sized croutons. The only thing that saved this review from one star was the waitress. She was really trying to overcome the things outside her control.

The food here is good and fairly priced. As far as chain restaurants go, this would probably one of my least fav's...just sayin'!

I guess I just don't have a taste for the food here anymore. Used to like it a lot, but now...meh.

Got a gift card for Xmas and it took me 6 months to figure out the graphic on the front of the card was for Chili's! (And no, I'm not really all that slow, just haven't been to one of these places in 20 years.) Anyhoo, we ate off of the 2 for $20 menu and the food was quite tasty. Though our waiter had been there all day and looked really tired, he was very pleasant and attentive. All in all, a nice experience for a chain restaurant.

Yeah, it's a chain. So the food is really nothing special of course. Been to one, you've been to them all. But I decided to rate it anyway because we sat in the bar one night, ordered a "2 people for $20" promo menu, and got really darn good service, fast and friendly, and the drinks were good too. So on that merit alone, it is a "good Chili's".... if you want to eat at Chili's.

It's a chain restaurant. There is no need for long winded, dramatic play-by-plays. It's a chain. It has food that you can eat. And you can enjoy yourself if you have good company. Who writes a review for Chili's?! I can't believe I just did!

Chilis has been a favorite for many , many years . We are big fans of the Chips & Salsa , although sometimes the salsa can be a bit runny . Over the years where ever we travel if we see a Chilis that is where we eat !Our favorite location is Wheaton , the staff is very attentive . Of course Chilis offers great value . You can sit in the bar and watch your favorite sporting event or have a a large booth for big groups .

I used to go here all the time, until the service, portions and prices kept changing. The food isn't even fresh anymore. try ordering a salad and notice all the yummy brown lettuce. Or how about a platter with a chicken breast that looks like it was mutilated right in front of you? For the prices that they charge, I expect fresh eatable food at the very least!

I ordered from the Chili's to Go menu on my phone this morning. I placed my order around 10am for pickup at 12:30. My order was ready for pickup upon my prompt arrival. No waiting which was wonderful! The food was what I expected from Chili's... not gourmet but better than anything I can make at home. I enjoyed the Chicken Chipotle bowl and I got the Steak with loaded potatoes and mac for mom, I had requested a few customizations which were executed correctly. We both enjoyed our meals. For dessert we tried the Toffee brownie, it was very rich but made for an enjoyable Easter treat. I would definitely order to go from Chili's again!

I am not going to say a word about the food. Chili's is Chili's. The food is the same at all their locations, and it's always good. So let's talk about the incompetent people they have working at this location. I was immediately greeted by the rudest host in the world. Once the host seated us, I went to him and asked if I could site in a booth vs a table. They are more comfortable and I am old. Before I could even finish my sentence, he waved his hand and said "sit where ever you want, I don't care", and turned his back and walked away. He should care, that's his only job there is to make sure people are seated and comfortable. Oh well, no more Chili's in Wheaton for me or my family.

This used to be one of my favourite haunts but NOT ANYMORE. They screwed up my to-go order then charged me an added $4.00 and to make matters worse the salad I ordered was ALL water, barely any lettuce, and had meat in it when I clearly specified that I did NOT want any b/c I'm vegetarian. I called the manager there and she promised to send a coupon of sorts for what I paid b/c I didn't have time to turn around and wait another 30 mins. for a salad but she never sent anything. I'm furious. They just lost a loyal customer of over 10 years, stupid stupid way to do business.

Chili's is one of those chain restaurants that I'm aware of, but rarely ever visit. What's on the menu there or what are they famous for? Maybe their Chili, I really don't know much about it. I've visited once before but it never stuck out in my mind as being good or bad, it's just one of those places I drive past and don't think much of. One day while spending time with friends was brought here for dinner due to its proximity to my residence. The first thing I noticed about Chili's was it's very very dark inside. It reminds me quite a bit of a previously reviewed place called Alfie's as far as how dimly lit it is. Once we were seated I noticed there was a tablet you could actually order from rather than utilizing your waitress. I decided due to my unfamiliarity with the menu to thoroughly peruse the menu in search of something I might enjoy and after going through every page I settled on a Bacon Burger. For the side I picked fries and soon the time to wait for the food had begun. My friends ordered a side of chips and salsa, let's go over these before delving into the main course. The chips themselves were pretty bland, lacking in salt, flavor, seasoning and any sort of taste. The salsa actually wasn't that bad and had better chips been utilized this might have turned out fairly well. But it didn't, and instead I was left with chips and salsa far inferior to the ones given out for free at my favorite Mexican restaurant. The bacon burger I received was a little on the small side but was well done and fairly crisp. The bun held together well and wasn't too soft or too hard. The bacon was a little sparse but overall this was an adequate burger. I also tried a few fries and weren't really impressed. Chili's like TGI Friday's and Applebees are places I'm fairly unfamiliar with. I'll actually say that it slightly exceeded my expectations as I went in with zero expectations and came away at least moderately satisfied. While I wouldn't be planning to revisit any time soon I'd go back to Chili's under the same scenario (friends are paying). I'll give it two stars.

I think this particular chilis gets a bad rap from wheaton yuppies. It is a chilis after all. Though, contrary to my previous statement I WAS about to give this place a 3 star review. Sat down (with my GF) at 9:15 to an empty eatery and didn't get my food until 9:55. Then the food came, absolutely worth our extended wait. So, would I take a date here for a night of long awkward silences and pauses? No... A good friend or significant other? For sure! Service is friendly enough, but all in all the only thing this place lacks is time management.

Came here out of convenience. Eh. Eh=3 stars. Service was less than average, but not horrible. I ordered the nachos as an appetizer and it's not what I expected at all. I was hoping for a bunch of chips with cheese, and we ordered extra fajita beef for it as well. They gave us about 15? chips with each chip having a lot of cheese. Hmm good, but not what I expected. No one asked if our meal was ok, I wouldn't have returned it, but it would've been brought up. Hubs got the steak and chicken fajitas. It came with a condiment tower, rice, beans and 3 tortillas. He ended up needing more. I got the crispy chicken tacos. They were essentially chicken tenders with a sweet BBQ sauce on it, with rice and beans. Surprisingly good! Had to wait a while to get our check, but hey, 6:30pm is busy I'm sure. Also don't mess with those game things on the table. Tricky lil things! Hubs almost played some games that said access granted, then in much smaller writing it asked if he wanted to cancel the $1.99 charge. Jeez!

Out of all "chain" restaurants chilis is my favorite. The good: the chicken tacos are so good! Try them. I also love the Monterey chicken with loaded mashed potatoes (yes it's a fat meal. But who cares, the deliciousness is worth it). The little mini iPad things at each table. Keeps my daughter busy while waiting for food= happy mom. The bad: service. It's awful. Everytime I have tried to give them the benefit of just being busy. Or training a new server, well no more. It's plain bad service. I ordered the skillet queso appetizer pretty much the second we sat down because I was starving. Well. It never arrived. Oh wait, yes it did. AFTER our dinner came. And they still charged me for it. Also. I wouldn't say it's a skillet queso, so much as its really just beans. Gross. If queso is in the name then put some cheese in it! I took it home, and added my own cheese. And still wasn't satisfied with this nasty bean dip. They really only deserve two stars, but since I love the Monterey chicken so much, I must give them 3. I would recommend just going somewhere else. This place is disappointing.

OK food, but roll of dice on which person you get as your server. Been here a few times to meet daughter for lunch. Ask for Christina. She is very polite and understands that some customers have limited time for lunch. Thanks Christina.

Came for desert only. Lava cake and toffee brownie. Both were disappointing. Bad cake and bad ice cream. Service was good.

Sad to say that I had one of the strangest experiences here. I am over 21, but live in California where vertical ID's last for years after becoming 21. The waiter and manager both denied my ID, citing city code and corporate policy. The whole issue was incredibly odd. Lost this customer for life.

This is still my favorite place for chips and salsa! They seem to change their menu often so sometimes what I liked the last time is gone. The restaurant is pretty loud. The timing of the service and food delivery seems a little off. They are starting to have little computer screens on each table. You can order dessert, review and pay your bill, and can also play games on it. I think you can pay extra for fancier games and maybe movies. I guess this is good for some people but it seems kind of sad to see people staring at screens instead of talking to each other. I like the Big Mouth Bites- little burgers- great flavor- with bacon!

We go fairly often, food is pretty good, order something simple like burgers that they can't screw up. Endless chips & salsa are a pretty good deal. Service is usually ok.

Okay, we went back again and it was a dreadful experience. Slovenly, hung-over waiter, cold food, weak drinks. The mini tacos contained a disgusting pulled pork. So bad neither of us would eat it. We were starving after a long bike ride, so we ate what we could, paid the tab, and will never be back again.

First time at this location, and haven't been to another Chili's in years. My husband, 4 year old and 2 year old went for dinner last night. We sat in a booth, the Ipad thing on the table was cool, but dirty. The service was not cool. Our waiter was pretty rude and gave us the worst service I actually have ever had a a restaurant. (and we are not 5 star diners, I would just like a smile and an attentive and positive attitude) We ordered the kids drinks and then asked what beer was on tap. He said he would come back later so we had time to look at the menu. He walked away. I opened the menu and they had like 4 beers on tap! Miller Lite, Bud Light, Blue Moon and something else. Seriously! The waiter must have found that to be an extensive list because it took him 10 min. to come back. Why couldn't he have just told us the 4 kinds! Frustrating. After the HORRIBLE service alone, I would never go back, but wait there's more. As we sat, and sat and sat waiting for our food we began to notice how dirty the place was. Our kids were finding pieces of old food in the booth, the floor was sticky and actually filthy the closer you looked. The table itself also seemed dirty. That place needs a good deep clean. It just had a dark, dank, dirty feel in there. When I think of Chili's, I think of fun, bright, and clean. This was so far from that . We were so disappointed with our experience here and will never be back, To top it off, the food was lukewarm at best when it finally came. Our kid's pizza's were so gross even they couldn't eat them (and they have pretty low standards for pizza). Don't waste your time or money here until they clean the place, and have a customer service training.

What can I say about Chili's. First of all, a portion of their proceeds the whole month of September goes to help St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. As a matter of fact, the hospital has a house where parents can stay dedicated to Chili's for all of their support. It even has the chili pepper on top of it. Anyway, they always pick one day out of that month where ALL, that's 100%, of proceeds go to St. Jude's. That alone is just amazing. Great food all around, and this specific location always had great service. We were not dissatisfied once. Chili's customer for life!

Very good. Ordered a classic combo of shrimp and sirloin. The steak was perfect, one of the best I have had in a while. The waitress was very accomodating to my special request ( I wanted black beans instead of potatoes). The menu is very diverse, and our waitress was very nice. Hard to give it five stars, since my water was running low a bit of the time, but, I was just looking for something to complain about! Will be back!

I love Chili's in general and this is one of the best locations. Great service every time. The wait staff is excellent. Talked to the general manager here a couple times when picking up food, super nice guy. They always agree to make me my favorite thing even though it's no longer on the menu (Cajun Chicken Sandwich). Some of the Chili's refuse to do this, which is dumb because I know they have the ingredients. Food comes out in a timely manner and is always good. The one time they made a mistake they gave us a nice discount and fixed their mistake quickly. What else can you ask for?

My fiance and I had dinner tonight at Chilis in Dananda Square in Wheaton, IL. The service was superb. I am a server/bartender myself and am very critical of servers. I wish I could remember her name but I cant! She is a tall, thin blonde woman with an accent. She greeted us quickly and offered appetizers. She was very friendly and had a great attitude. Our salsa and drinks were refilled without having to ask and well before they were empty. I ordered the steak and she asked me if I would like to cut into it to see that it was cooked properly while she stood at the table and waited. I have never experienced that before, even in high end restaurants. She was probably one of the best servers I have had in my life and if we served steak at my restaurant I would steal that extra step from her! Overall it was a very pleasant experience, food and service went above expectations.

Horrible service. Gregory the bartender was too busy to properly service bar and lounge area. No manager to complain to...of course no comment card to be had. Do not waste your time or money.

Eh. This place is ok. Most of the food is okee-dokee. My nachos were burnt. I like nachos. I don't like burnt ones. It made me sad. I went to Chili's for my three favorite things: a bowl of cheese and broccoli soup (which was like a bowl of melted cheese with a few broccoli bits and some tomatoes and onions and it was so so delicious), the babyback ribs, and the Paradise Pie, a very awesome and huge warm seven-layer bar with chocolate and ice cream. So tasty. So I went last month, and I asked for the cheesey awesomeness soup, and the waitress gave me a shifty look and said they were out of it. This made me cry, but I thought I would try to get over it and wait till next time. Then, I went again today, and I asked again for some soup, and the waiter broke eye contact and said they no longer make it. I began wailing and gnashing my teeth and throwing soot on myself in mourning, and he kinda coldly suggested the other soups without even skipping a beat and giving me time to mourn. I refused any other soup. None will ever be as good. Now, clearly, this is probably not the fault of this particular Chili's which is ok for the most part (although I've had cold food on several occasions here), but something should be done! That soup was awesome. Bring it back.

Chilis is Chilis, no matter how you slice it. Everything I've ordered has been decent - always consistent - and eatable. The service at this particular location can be really slow, even when they are empty. However, we always went anyway b/c it was a chance to escape our cubicles and enjoy good company w/ decent food. Our boss rarely noticed we came back late when we went to Chilis which is all the more reason to go back! lol

So let me start with the fact that we dined in this establishment on 11/27/12 for my husband's birthday. I do not even remember our servers name. We were greeted by this lively lady who told us her name was Lanicia. She was extremely personable as she took the drink order. She comes back and introduces us to our server. We get a brief nod he ran to get our beverages. Lanicia then comes back and tells us our server will be back and asked if we would like some apps. We place our order with her. During all of this, we have not seen our server very much, other then standing off to the side joking with other coworkers. We ask if Lanicia can can keep taking care of us, she saved our experience :) Manager stopped by to apologize then took off. Anyways, we had a great experience because of Lanicia. Thank you! :) Having worked all weekend long and horrible night before at RA sushi(check out our review) we decide to order take out at Chili's again. We place an order on-line for the 2 for $20 and get an extra order of chips and salsa added. Yum! Hubby goes to get the order. He comes back without the extra order of chips an salsa and overpaid, they did not charge us the 2 for $20 price. I call and ask what had happened. I get put on hold and then a manager Josh comes on the phone and apologizes and offers to send us gift certificates, I tell him no need just want what we paid for is all. I ask to please make sure they have our order of chips salsa ready and the difference for the food ready for us. Husband gets ready to head back out and comes back with with two orders of chips and salsa, our change and $20 in certificates! It was very nice. My husband said they insisted on him taking the certificates and apologized again, That is GREAT management!!!! Problem addressed and solved. They went above and beyond to fix the issue. We expected nothing more than what we paid for. Thank you so much for the extra effort. It was really appreciated. Overall: Great experience.

Always have a great time at Chili's. Food is consistently good. In spite of a rather funny incident, when our waiter accidentally dumped a frozen margarita on our 11 yr old son's tee. All in all it turned out great - they gave him a Chili's tee shirt to change into and he really dug it then gave him a free desert. That's what I call good customer save/service. We'll be back!

With a Chili's you know what you're getting. We've always had decent service and decent food there. We try to avoid the peak times, and will use the To Go service at these times.
