In more ways than one did I need to digest a couple of days before writing my review :-) Never has there been such a need for a classic Pros vs. Cons review: Cons: I walked in and it did not smell very good. A cross between a sewer/water issue and a musty beer scent. I love dive bars and no frills burger joints just as much as the next guy. However, if Bar Rescue invaded this place last Thursday with me, Mr. Taffer would more than likely found something related to the above mentioned unpleasant scent. My buddy and I asked about the monster burgers, ranging from 1/4 all the way up to 4-1lb burgers our server informed us that they only had 2 pounds of burgers and that we could each only order a 1 pound burger....So let me get this straight. You're offering up to 4 pounds on one burger, and yet you only had 2 pounds left in the kitchen? Between the foul scent and a nearly meatless kitchen, I was quite concerned....But things were about to take a turn for the better! Pros: Great beer selection, particularly the bottles. Magic Hat and plenty of Lauganitas choices. Solid list of good beers in that cooler so props to whomever is doing the purchasing of cerveza. The burgers were actually REALLY GOOD!! And man, I'm pretty sure my burger was a pound even after it was cooked down!!! So the thing had to have been a pound and a quarter to start. My giant appetite was able to finish the burger and mostly all the fries, and was just enough, as mentioned by our server so I'm actually glad I did attempt the two bagger. Plenty of flatscreen TV's and the space is nice and open.

If you're looking for quantity and huge value then this is the place. Located at the far Northeast end of town this joint servers up some monster burgers and BLT's. You pick out the size and they grill it up right behind the bar. A four pound burger would be four 1 pound patties on a bun, a triple would be 3 patties...you get the idea right? Same with the BLT's which I'll get on my next visit since it's one of my most favorite sandwiches ever! Tell them how many slices of bacon you want on the sammie and you got it. I think there's one on the menu with 24 slices! More to come

Great selection of micro breweries and great burgers. Good place to watch a game and meet up with friends. They are also building a horse shoe game (i think) in back - nice outside back area...

Mark's been wanting to try this place for a while, but the dive-bar atmosphere really turned me off. After a horrible experience at a hipster burger-and-beer joint in Kenosha, I decided to give in. Am I glad that I did! Awesome burger: great beef, perfect pickles, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato and an amazing bun. Friendly service, but definitely a dive bar. A dive bar that this foodie hearts.

Love this place! They have live music, great people, beer prize is average. They have bag toss, which is quite entertaining, and they also have an outdoor patio, as well as live gaming. They need more parking, it gets quite crowded in the weekends.

Located on the Northeast side of Waukegan is this a great place to sit down and enjoy a game or a Friday or Saturday hangout. They have a great selection of Micro Beers and great sandwiches and Burgers. The conversion from an old working mans bar to a great Sports Bar was well done. A patio along with horseshoes is located behind the bar as to add to the fun and ambience in the Summer.

The BLT levels are a challenge. I did the 30 slice, but didn't feel right for a day or two. Amazing bottled beer selection. Bartenders are attentive and remember faces if not names... Cheap specials, and plenty of TVs around tuned into Chicago teams. Their French fries are tops in the area.
