I would highly recommend this place for some authentic hispanic food in Champaign, IL. The place is decorated in typical mexican style. They have nice and clean facility with cramped up sitting. Not much privacy for couples but who cares when the food is so good. Try anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. They have sandwiches as well. All of the food is prepared from fresh ingredients and that makes it delicious. I don't know about authenticity of the taste but this definitely tingles my taste buds. I would be a regular here for a nice lunch or dinner.
Do they have some of the best Mexican food in town? Yes, they do. At least from our sample of eating there about five or six times. Why the lowly three stars then? They had a busy night and, as we wanted to sit on the patio, we had to wait for about forty minutes. That is ok as it was our choice. What was not our choice was waiting for another twenty minutes without anybody taking our order. All the while people at other tables, seated after us, had their order taken and their food served. We eventually gave up and went inside to pay for the beer we had while waiting to be seated. They didn't want to take our money and were apologetic, but it's little consolation when you're angry from hunger. We left without eating. We will likely try it again on a less busy night. There aren't that many places in town which have creamy chipotle salsa.
Pros: delicious food. 4 salsa options with your chips. He chips are fresh and yummy. The menu had lots of choices. The enchiladas are yummy! The Diabla enchiladas are super spicy- but with a good fire taste. Our wait staff has always been super friendly. Outside seating as well. Cons: it's small and hot inside. There is sometimes a bit of a wait, but it's worth it.

What can I say that hasn't been said before? I met my boss here for lunch on a sunny Monday afternoon. We were quickly greeted by we had 2 more people yet to show up so we had to wait for them to be seated. As soon as our party was there, we were quickly ushered to a table and greeted by our server. He informed us that he had been overhearing our conversations at the table and was happy to report that they did have burnt ends and explained to one of my lunch mates what a mufelleta was and what it was made of today. This was a great touch - what an easy way to make a quick and easy impression on a table! So, I got my burnt ends sandwich, along with sweet potato fries - which I had been told were AMAZING. I also ordered their beans. We also ordered the cornbread... which was delish!!! I recommend it highly. It was moist, slightly spicy... and full of amazingness! The burnt end sandwich was increds. Cooked to perfection and flavored wonderfully with a Carolina Red sauce. The sweet potato fries weren't amazing - they were AH-MAY-ZING!!!!! The beans were delish as well - and did not need for me to add in any sauce or anything, which is my usual habit. I have to say... I have been coming to central Illinois for years and I am pissed it took until today for me to get to this place. I will be back... probably every trip to central Illinois!!!
Amazing BBQ, best definitely in Champaign/Urbana area. It's pricey but definitely worth every penny. Would recommend getting the burnt ends.
this place is worth the wait! although the wait at the door may be long, the order turnaround is speedy and the food is absolutely orgasmic! you'll find yourself inappropriately suckling the boney remains of your meal. seriously. check it out.

Yeah yeah, food and service are pretty good, but let's talk about what really needs to happen here... Sitara needs to take better advantage of the beautiful bar and their endless stock of Bollywood films. Turn this bad boy into a Bollywood discotheque after hours. HMU when that's a thing, and I'll change my rating from a 4 star to a 5.
I was overjoyed that an Indian restaurant opening up in downtown Urbana! And I was right to be excited - this place is wonderful. The service is quick and the food was great. I was dining in for once, and ordered the Vegetarian Thali dish, and I cannot recommend it enough - it's a crazy amount of food for $7. I've heard that Sitara might be owned by or otherwise connected to Bombay Grill, and I will say the food tastes very similar. Fortunately for me I also love Bombay Grill. :)
I was on a short visit to Urbana, and visited this place. There are three types of Indian restaurants: 1. The ones Indians love, because it is authentic (but is not very much liked by others) 2. The ones everyone else loves, but Indians generally do not, because the cuisine is 'westernized' to cater everyone and 3. the rare ones that is liked by everyone because the food is just plain awesome. This one belongs to the second category, and I feel is pretty over-hyped. You can visit here once!

A decent little bar and grill attached to Stone Creek. A long L granite top bar, booths and high top tables. Lots of TV's, a larger dining area to the right of the bar. A bit generic, but comfortable. The bartenders are friendly and on top of things. A handful of taps, some good micros like Ballast Point and Dogfish Head. The requisite Macros and a full bar as well. All things to all people on the booze front. They have a good reuben sandwich, and some specials every once in a while. The pork tenderloin sandwich was decent, nothing special. Overall, a nice spot to drink with slightly generic vibe and pub grub. Not bad as a neighborhood joint, or for a drink after a round of golf.
This place frequently mails out coupons to the local area, so I had been looking forward to it for a while. The first thing you notice when you step in is the numerous large-screen TVs. There was nothing interesting showing when I came, but I imagine this would be a great place to watch major sports events like NFL games and the NCAA basketball tournament. The restaurant is located within a nice clubhouse, so the place is clean, well-lit, and pretty spacious. In terms of atmosphere and setting, there's nothing to complain about at all. The problems I had were with the food. To start, the water had funny taste to it. Moving on to the nachos, the ratio of ingredients didn't impress me. They overdo the cheese, and skimp on the pico de gallo. The cheese is melted, but the chips are cold. The wings weren't great, being both small and overly fried. But they're just 40 cents each on Sunday so they're still not a bad deal. I wouldn't order these on any other day of the week though. Sandwich wasn't bad, but took a really long time to arrive. We're talking ~45 minutes at 11 AM on a Sunday. For a sandwich and fries. I'll probably go back again to give the place a second chance, but I wouldn't do it without more coupons. My score breakdown looks something like this: 5/5 for the atmosphere, 2/5 for the food, 2/5 for the slow service, 3/5 overall.
Fun place! Kids eat free Wednesday. Great appetizers, great food, great service. Sports bar like feel with upscale food. Fantastic prices. Blue chease chips are a must!

Cheap drinks, inexpensive food that is pretty good. I want to go back!
30 minutes is just too long to wait for wings and it still didn't look like my order was coming so no thanks.
Live music, rockin' service, cheap drinks, and a great grill. Drew, the line cook is the most outgoing friendly dude you'd ever meet. They had the coolest float in the Labor Day parade which makes this the place to be in all of Urbana. (Not an ugly one in the bunch). Pool tables, video gambling and the area's only 0.33 wing night on Wednesdays.

I had the Italian beef and fries it was awesome! Prices are great and portions are large. Great value!
I love this place. It's cozy, the food is cheap and tasty bar food. Perfect if you are craving cheap drinks and fried things.
Greasy bar food at it's finest. I was craving nachos. They didn't have them. It was a sad day, but I got another greasy meal in place of my much desired nachos. The food was fine, prices, were awesome, seating was scary. Asses to elbows. We couldn't move without accidentally feeling someone up or getting ourselves violated. Small price to pay for a quick lunch.
