This was a pleasant surprise. I always say there are too many chain restaurants and we wanted to try something different this Saturday morning. We were about to drive to STL, but I stumbled upon this place via Yelp. We walked in and were able to sit immediately. The waitress promptly greeted us and got us drinks. The menu had a lot, but I opted for the Greek omelette. My husband had the corned beef hash, my mom had the Denver omelette, my one daughter had oatmeal and a croissant and my other daughter had the waffle with toppings on the side. EVERYONE loved their food, especially the two biggest critics. The kids' food was brought out first which is a huge bonus in my eyes! The portions were super generous. They weren't stingy on the toppings in my omelette like some places. I had the American fries, thinking they meant french fries, but they were home fries. My daughter gave me a bite of her waffle which was also yum. The "family" in their name is appropriate because it was a great family vibe. I'm so happy I found this place and now I have a local place to eat breakfast after living here for 7 years!

I love breakfast! My favorite meal. Had the service been better, I may have been able to overlook my very bland breakfast. My eggs weren't cooked toy liking and the hash towns were a little burnt around the edges and no flavor. I wouldn't need to go back there. McDonalds us right down the road.

Enjoying a very good breakfast and the staff was efficient and friendly. We plan to go there again and try lunch or dinner.

The food here is above average home style cooking. The portions are adequate The atmosphere is depressing. Drab and plain. Kind of like a high school cafeteria. The service is.......strange. The owners/family are presumably from another country based on the thick accents. I chalked up the weird service as differences in culture. We had 4 different people wait on us and when I asked for the check the waiter said "ok" and never came back. I had to go to the front and ask for it. Literally 2 seconds after our food was set on the table the waiter asked "does everything taste ok" I said I hadn't had a chance to taste it yet. He said ok and never asked if it tasted good after we had actually eaten it. With a few minor changes these things could be fixed. I hope they are around long enough to benefit from Swansea, the area needs a place like this.

We went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast and let me tell you it is NOTHING to write home about. I'm only writing this to help others avoid a bad decision. We live near this restaurant and were very happy to have a family restaurant come in to the area. This is NOT it! The food was horrendous! Hash browns that tasted and had the texture that they came from a can, orange juice with a nasty after taste, steak that had NO favor, even after dosing it in steak sauce, pancakes that tasted burned, coffee that tasted burned. BAD service from the waitress. Ordered coffee WITH CREAM when we sat down and then had to go track down creamer from the hostess stand. Had to ask for the orange juice when we got our food. About the only good thing I can say is the food arrived quickly. DO NOT waste your money here, definitely not worth it. Even eating an MRE would be better than this place.

Attentive servers. Food is nothing special. This appears to be another small, family restaurant that was taken over (or re-opened). It looks run down. The menu is lacking options. For instance you can't get an omelet with pancakes. You have to buy ala cart, which makes the check larger. Unfortunately the food isn't good enough for this strategy, so you end up paying too much for too little. I would recommend this place if you were visiting neighbors and had to walk to eat because you had no car to drive to a better place.

great home style food, The Chicken and Dumplings Special was awesome! The other item i had was Chef Salad and it was a very good size and price. I will be back. The menu looks to be All Day Breakfast Sandwiches Soups, and Salads Dinner plates nice job!

My grandfather and I went to this place for lunch the only other time I have been there is with my grandfather for breakfast. First time wasn't to bad actually pretty good this time we went the Gyro I ordered was great and the sweet tea was not so sweet. I'm going with a 2 star for these guys the biggest problem I had was the ac was not on maybe the place dosent have it? It used to be a DQ so I assume it does, could use a good cleaning and I noticed the thermostat on the way out was 83 degrees Fahrenheit inside that's a little warm for me when i'm trying to eat! The waiter was very nice and did a pretty good job. Great chicken noodle soup Id recommend it

I did go into you're place of business. My family owned as many as 5 restarants in the area. I know how one is supposed to be run. You are slways going have to wipe down and clean. When I came into your place..it gave me an overall greasy feeling. The food (breakfast) was ok bacon might have been fried in the deep fryer could not really tell it was so dark. The coffee was great and so was the service. As for my opinion..and that is just what it is..an opinion, the place needs to have some repairs to the floor and ceiling. What ever is in the corner (maybe some kind of sterio system)? Just looks bad. Nothing that a hot bucket of water and soap could take care of!

This was a huge disappointment!! We went in on a Saturday night. They weren't busy but it also wasn't near closing time. We were sat and the waitress came by for the drink order. I ordered Diet Pepsi and I drink diet soda often at restaurants. This was definitely regular Pepsi. When I asked the waitress she argued but took it back to the bus boy. She asked him something in another language but said "Diet Pepsi," and the bus boy proceeded to stick his nose in my glass to smell it. Ew. I did get a new drink and luckily from a different glass. We all ordered different meals. My moms burger was a preformed frozen patty with the wrong toppings and it was cooked to death. My steak, even though I requested "rare" was well, well done. The waitress came back out about 10 minutes after taking our order and verified that I wanted my steak well. I told her no that I wanted rare. Obviously it had already been started and they didn't choose to start over. My dad had a baked chicken special that had been reheated and served because parts of the chicken pieces were hot with pockets of the meat ending up cold, and there was a layer of congealed fat on the skin in the cold spots. My brother and his girlfriend had the club sandwich which was all toast and lettuce. There was maybe two slices of turkey and two slices of bacon on the entire sandwich. The fries for both of them and my mom were cold in the middle and weren't finished cooking. The worst part was, the restaurant staff stood at the wall which was only about 5 feet from our table staring and standing there. No, they weren't statuesque but it was a weird feeling. Let me eat in peace, please! There is zero atmosphere so combined with the lingering staff, it was an uncomfortable dining experience. Add awful food to that and lackluster service, and you have a giant flop. We won't be back!

We've been a few times now and have had a great experience every time. The food is delicious and just like grandma makes and she literally does and grandpa too, in the back. I love having breakfast for dinner and have tried their waffle and the pigs in a blanket. Both were made from the same dough and we very good. The bacon was cooked perfectly. Know that when you ask for 2 eggs, you are going to get 3. They are very generous with the portions and seem to care about the customers. There is a darling fella that greets us every time we come and always checks to make sure we are doing OK and to just chat. It feels like you are part of their family. I try to think what my favorites are and I have to say the steak and eggs is very good and I really like their mashed potatoes and gravy. I really like the biscuits and gravy- I got a half order and the dinner plate was full. My most favorite thing though is the hash browns. They are unlike any I have ever had. They are crispy on the outside but almost creamy inside. The flavor is fantastic! I get them every time I go! I would definitely recommend this place! I really would.

Fast, friendly, and good. Fancy? No. It is not formal or fancy dining. Its a family run cafe for families. Prices reasonable and have never had poor service or low food quality and I frequent the establishment. Keep your expectations reasonable and there will be no disappointment.

Food was decent. The service was the issue. Worst service Ive ever had. Waiter seemed annoyed to take our order. Never refilled or drinks or checked on us once. He came back to the table in a hurry when we got up to pay the bill. Guess he thought we were going to leave without paying. He stared at the back of credit card which said see ID in bold black ink. Then swiped the card without checking or asking for ID. We left feeling like it was because we are interracial couple. Won't ever be back.

I had the worst restaurant in florida and this one just renewed my list.can't really tell what it was but definitely not my fav.the taco shell was deep fried with the oil that smelled old and beef on top was salty.lettuce was the best thing in that dish.and the gyro platter...sigh.... The meat was old and deep fried. I looked around what other people were eating.most of them were eating odd things for lunch.the menu itself was everywhere.some people were eating italian some were eating gyro some were eating mexican.i guess when u have too many different things u can't be good at any .I wish they can choose one cusine and at least be decent .

This place is Amazing great food portions for such low prices my family and I come here all the time when we want to go out and don't know where to go and don't want to spend an arm and a leg. My husbands is always fully satisfy everything he eats here. The staff is so nice and friendly one guy even makes balloons for my kids every time we go in. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
