The salad, baked potato and broccoli was very good! Get the Champagne vinaigrette. The ribeye steak was VERY tough and I couldn't eat most of it. The bartender was really nice and gave great service but at the end he took off for 10 minutes. I wanted to go up to my room and sleep so I asked a waiter who had no idea where he was. I waited another 10 minutes and then had to write the bartender a note to charge the bill to my room and add the tip.

The food was overpriced, but it was certainly convenient since we were staying in the hotel. The warm apple crisp was great, though. Alice, our waitress when we had dinner, was incredibly kind, helpful and informative. She brought us tourist maps of Springfield when she found we were there to visit the Lincoln sites, and let us know we should allow at least 2 1/2-3 hours for our first-time visit to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum (it ended up taking us closer to 7 hour to go through the museum alone). The brunch was ok, but the waitstaff was innattentive, though they chatted and visited with others. When we were done with our meal and waiting for our check, we finally had to stop one of the waiters to request the check. He said "She'll get it, but she's visiting right now", pointing to a table a few feet away. We explained to the waiter that we needed to get back upstairs so that we could get our bags and check out, since it was 30 minutes before the check out time; it still took 5 minutes to get our check. Needless to say, we didn't leave a tip for the brunch crew.

We had an experience here several years ago that still makes me refuse to ever go here again. We brought our group of around 20 people in one evening and it was a quiet night. We saw only 1 other table of people (just a few) besides us. We could barely get anyone to acknowledge that we were there. When they did, everything took FOREVER. We were there for hours with no explanation as to what was going on, where our food was, where our server was, etc. Finally fed up we asked what was going on and were told that the restaurant isn't capable of handling such a large group. .... They can't handle 20 people when their restaurant clearly has the capacity for many more than that??? Yes, that's truly what we were told. No one wanted to come near our table for anything. Forget drinks or an extra napkin and the like. I'm shocked we even got food- nevermind that it was cold and came out at all different times. The service was HORRENDOUS and it was an embarrassing experience for those who picked the restaurant for our group. Especially because it was a special occassion. We will never go to Lindsay's again, what a waste. As a side note it's a boring place environment-wise, and doesn't come off as fancy as they want you to feel it is.

We visited Lindsay's Restaurant for Mother's Day brunch. The food was good but it was very overpriced. The food was the usual buffet fare. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, an omelet station, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, country potatoes and french toast sticks. The lunch fare consisted of various pastas, ham, prime rib, and chicken finger for the kids. This all took place in a large ball room within the hotel. I felt like I was at a business conference waiting for the keynote speaker to give their address. For $28.95 a plate, I would expect a little more.

I'm in Springfield at least three weeks out of the month.I enjoy the breakfast buffet Lindsay's restaurant offers.The price is right,good service,and very clean.I will continue to dine there.

Food was actually very good! I had Lindsays grill (English muffin topped with soft scrambled eggs, fresh tomato, spinach and hollandaise sauce with a side of potatoes) and I must say I was impressed. I also tried the bananas foster french toast and it was awesome! Service was just ok, a few mistakes, slow and unnecessary waiting. I also think the menu was limited and a tad overpriced.Hostess/cashier had the worst attitude ever. I doubt I'll go back.

Service was wonderful, but they don't know how to cook. Nothing they served had flavor, the "half chicken" which was on tiny thigh was nothing but chicken jerky. Chicken tenders were the ones you buy in the freezer at Walmart. All of the lettuce in the salad was wilted and soft, all this with high prices. We were the only ones there on a Saturday night! We should have walked out then and there. It was convenient and we were staying there. I cannot believe this place is open!

Place was dead on a Friday night due to a convention in town. Everybody was at the banquet and I didn't want to go. Figured i'd finally try this place out since I was staying in the hotel. Service was good since I was the only one there. I figured i'd try a horseshoe since I loved the 2 places i'd had them from so far. It was very bland. Sirloin patty had no flavor to it. The fries tasted like frozen grocery store fries and the cheese sauce was literally melted cheddar with nothing else in it. Felt pretty overpriced too. Won't be back here.
