My family has been going here since I've been born. This is the best pizza you can get west of Chicago. Do yourself a favor and order the chicken. Awesome. The only thing I hate... More annoying than anything is that they don't accept credit cards or debit cards. I moved away from the area for over a decade and came back and forgot it was cash only. Had to leave to find an ATM.

Always VERY busy and full and always a trippy experience It is, despite various disputes, the original QC pizza joint. Only problem, the decor hasn't changed but the pizza has. It isn't bad pizza, but it doesn't blow you away. Plus, cash only? Poor beer selection. It may be the original but the QC has lots more to offer.

How have I never left a review for Frank's Pizza? I'm your typical former QC resident saying, "I spend a lot of time fantasizing about Frank's Pizza." I haven't had any pizza come close since moving a way. I love the sweet and spicy sauce and crispy crust. I even miss the greasy dining room and grumpy proprietors. It's. All. So. Good.

Oh no! Frank's what have you done to your pizza's? We haven't lived in the QC in 40 years but on the infrequent occasions when we have been back there, we always take a pizza back home with us & savor it & fight over who gets the last piece. My husband was in the QC this week & brought home a Franks pizza. What a disappointment. Apparently they have changed the crust & sausage mixture. We loved both the crust & the spicier sausage the way they used to make it. The crust no longer has that good yeasty taste it used to have & the sausage was very bland. Not sure why they have changed the things that made them rank as one of the best pizza places in the country. Hope they go back to their old recipes.

What Jon L. said in his wonderfully snarky review, but with one exception. I actually find the "unique to the QCA" pizza itself to be the star of the show. Seriously, I grew up in the area and recently moved back from the east coast and walking into Frank's is like stepping back in time as a kid in the 1960's. The only things missing are the cigarette smoke wafting from the bar and the flattop haircuts sported by the locals. I like change as well as the next guy, but there is a certain comfort in retaining a few constant's in life. Things such as vaguely familiar time worn faces and tattered naugahyde furnishing come to mind here. Stay true Frank's and don't ever change a thing!

I LOVE Frank's! Franks is a Quad City staple and has been around longer than I have. Even after moving to Chicago, I still come to Franks for pizza every time I'm home in the QC Area. I've now got my husband hooked as well! If you are a foodie looking for "Neapolitan with roasted peppers and goat cheese" then don't go here, it isn't your place. Stick to the staples and there is no way you will be disappointed. The pizza is consistently outstanding. The spaghetti and meatballs, delicious. The fried chicken, on point. I'm a girl that loves her salads and lighter entrees but when I splurge, I don't want it to be a waste. And it never, ever is with Franks.

If you are from the QCA and haven't been to Franks then you are crazy. This is a family favorite for me and my husbands families who grew up in the QCA. My husband loves the spaghetti, my favorite is the fried chicken and of course the pizza is like nothing you find outside of the qca. Silvia franks is kept just like I remember and is cash only. Great hole in the wall family tradition spot. Great stuff!!

The highlight of this restaurant, and the Bettendorf counterpart, is the crust is consistently excellent. The toppings are alright, though the variety is not outstanding and I do not recall being wowed. The quality is consistent and the sandwiches such as italian beef and the pastas are also good. One other thing to note is it is cash only.

If you happen to find yourself in the Quad Cities and are hankering for a pizza, Frank's Pizzeria & Club Napoli is a worthwhile destination for a decent meal in a unique setting, accompanied a complimentary freak show. We dined in at 9:00 or so on a Saturday night. Three quarters of our fellow diners were obese, about a third of them supermorbidly so. We watched a single man read a ragged paperback over the largest plate of spaghetti and meatballs that we had ever seen. A wide majority of the customers were legally drunk, and the staff was composed mostly of haggard women who look ten to fifteen years older than their real age. What differentiates Quad Cities-style pizza, you might ask? The way it's sliced, apparently--bisected, then cut into thin bars. I'd never seen this technique employed, although I understand there are restaurants in Northwest Indiana that slice theirs this way as well. The pizza itself was completely unremarkable, neither as good nor as bad as any average pie that I might have had in Chicago (or elsewhere, for that matter). Cash only, but they have an ATM on site.

A Landmark! I have been going to Franks since I was a kid & have never been disappointed. Even after moving to Florida, each time I go back to the Quad cities, going to Frank's is a must! (Most times, more than once during my visit). We even order half baked (and freeze) pizzas to take home to Florida & have shared them with our friends (who also have LOVED them!) Frank's has a pizza crust that is like no other~~~amazing! And the sausage is delicious too. The pizza is neither New York nor Chicago style, but rather a unique style of it's own & WONDERFUL! We need Frank's in South Florida!

While on a business trip, some coworkers and I took the recommendation of another traveler and took off to find this place. I liked Frank's. It's old and a bit haggard. Tables and chairs and walls and wood paneling have all seen better days. I'm guessing they follow a strict "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," philosophy. As far as I can tell, it ain't broke. They cut the pizza in strips here, which seems to be a rural Illinois thing. Maybe a rural Midwest thing, I'm not sure. We ordered some appetizers, a "deluxe" pizza, and a pepperoni pizza. The deluxe had a ridiculous amount of toppings on it, and was only OK. The pepperoni, though, was delicious. The crust is ultra-thin, and has a sweetness to it I haven't tasted before; definitely something unique going on there. I'd recommend Frank's if you find yourself in Silvis. There's really nothing much else to speak of in town, and this place is unique and memorable. Also, CASH ONLY.

Franks is a classic "hole in the wall" or "road side" food place. One might expect Jane and Michael Stern to be sitting at the bar. There is nothing fancy here and it has been the same since the beginning of time (though the Hamm's animated clock is now gone. People don't come here for the atmosphere per se but come for the food. The pizza actually has a rather unique crust - it is a thin variety but not the cracker dried out thin pizza crust but a nice moist delicous crust; what makes the crust truly unique is that they add malt to the crust. There are a couple places up in Chicago now that have adopted this style. For pizza's I'm partial to the sausage, which is a classic old Italian crumble style; I also think this is their most unique flavor. If you happen to have left overs, take them home for breakfast - to be eaten cold! If you aren't a pizza fan, they also have a pretty delicous Italian Beef sandwich. This comes on an Italian style hoagie with marinated thinly sliced beef and green pepper. The spagaheti with meat sauce has a nice rich flavor plus a bit of a kick. Most meat sauces can't stand alone but this one does. And it it might be odd, but the fried chicken matches anything you can around town. I know, you might not expect good fried chicken, and I can't say I'd come here for that, but I know people who do. If you want even more food, the onion rings are pretty good appetizer. Again, this is old style family Italian dining - go and enjoy.

I live in the area, and I know a lot of people are die hard Frank's fans, but let me tell you, stay away. Yes, they have unique crust, but the positives stop there. Also, they are one of the most expensive pizza joints in the area. A much better choice in Silvis would Sluggers. Similar pizza style, but much better tasting.

Good pizza if you are in the area. I like their pizza crust more than Pizza Joynt's. For some reason Frank's pizza taste better when I order it for carry out. I've dinned in 2-3 times and it doesn't taste as good as it does when I order it for carryout. My suggestion - take it to go!

Okay. Just okay. I was expecting more, since Frank's seems to be a Silvas 'destination.' It looks like it's been there FOREVER - and it's a total dive, which is kinda fun. We had the pepperoni and sausage pizza. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can, while the crust was quite good. The pepperoni is definitely better than the sausage. If you're stuck in Silvas, this place isn't bad. Our server was friendly and efficient. But if you can get to Davenport, try Antonella's. Or Huckleberry's in Rock Island.
