I hadn't been to Panera in quite awhile, mostly because of their prices, however, we thought we'd try out their new broth bowl. And we are both glad we did! Birth tasted great and the price is reasonable.

Love coming here, my fav is the Greek salad and chicken and wild rice soup. My kids love this place too, too bad my husband doesn't. They're pricier than the average place with similar food, but it's good for you. I love the call ahead feature.

This location is always busy thanks to the bustling shopping center and nearby Scott AFB. The food has always been quality sandwich fare and the employees are usually friendly.

Given my previous experiences with Bread Co., I like to keep my expectations low. It's fast food. Plain and simple. In the past 5-ish years, I have not frequented this place because they aren't really vegetarian-friendly. Since becoming pescetarian, I decided to give Bread Co. another shot (there was also a crazy storm rolling in and wanted to go somewhere close), so my husband and I agreed to have dinner here. They have this mouth-watering shrimp avocado sandwich that pairs perfectly with their corn chowder. It's over $10 if you do their pairing, but oh-my-goodness is it worth it. They do not skimp on the shrimp (look at me, I'm Dr. Seuss). I was very please with my meal choice and am far more inclined to return knowing this sandwich exists, although I'm fairly certain it is a seasonal addition.

I stopped at this location for lunch and my exprience was pretty good. I always pay attention to the atmosphere as it always has a warm and welcoming feeling...kinda reminds me of the college coffee houses. The service was fast and friendly - I received my food quickly. I ordered an Iced Green Tea, Half-Sandwich Turkey Avocado w/Bacon, and Chef Salad - all good. The bread is always great.

I"m a fan of St. Louis Bread Co. The food and service here is always good. They are usually very busy and sometimes it's hard to find a seat but, happily, I can still get in and out pretty quickly when I need to.

Pasta is Not even close to Pasta House or Olive Garden. More like Fazzolis at twice the price. Large is very small portion. I'll stay with the other Pasta places!

i usually love bread co's. all of them should be about the same right? NOT!!!!! i made the mistake of going in during the evening. as i waited for my sister, i decided to get a drink. the sweet tea tasted awful. the acai berry tea, i put 8 splenda in my 32oz cup and tasted like i did not put anything in the cup. i finally got regular unsweet tea and was still not happy really. the workers were slow. they were out of pumpkin bagels. :(

Ally didn't offer what side I wanted and assumed I wanted chips. I hate chips. And she didn't give us our drinks. I ordered a roasted turkey guacamole sandwich, assuming at least the meat and bread were warm. They were all cold. Like Thanksgiving turkey leftover cold. The first bite it hurt my teeth and I ended up throwing away more than half of my food. I hope you get it together bread co. There are so many other places around I can pick up food for the office.

So yesterday I leave downtown STL to meet a client at this STL Bread Co on the East Side. I get there a little early and realize that I worked through lunch.....it's 2:45, I'm starving and I'm 30 minutes early for the meeting. So I go to the counter and order the "Your pick two" soup sando combo" The only way I can properly explain this is to give you a blow by blow account for this conversation............. Matt: Can I get the "pick to combo with a French oni- Dmarco counter guy: Let me interrupt you .......do you have a "my panera card"? Matt: Uh, no Dmarco Counter guy:(look of disbelief) well lets get you set up with one of those first.. Matt: Uh no, lets just go ahead and put the order in Dmarco Counter guy: Do you not like free money? Matt:What are you talking about Dmarco: well saving $10 a month may not mean a lot to you, but it means a lot to me. Matt: are you for real? Dmarco:Dude all im saying is that the "my panera card" is one of the best things that ever happened to me. Matt: Dmarco if thats the best thing that ever happened to you then you need to live the house more. Now, can I please place my Pick 2 or are you going to keep busting my balls about a F%$(ing card? Dmarco - (sarcastically) what can I get for you sir Unreal. Hand on a bible swear to god on this conversation. At the end of the day and I didnt know whether to hit him or hire him. This guy is probably making $7 bucks an hour and is upselling like Affleck in Boiler Room.

All in all a good sandwich place. Their soup in a bread bowl is great if you're feeling a little under the weather. I recommend the broccoli cheese soup. Love their panini's. The chipotle chicken is especially good. My wife loves the cinnamon crunch bagels, bread sliced. I don't recommend the cold sandwiches as they seem to be half frozen. The service at this location could be a lot better and it would help if they asked what side you want with your sandwich instead of assuming so be sure to remember to tell them or you might get their choice.

Went in and asked for the you pick 2 AND a cup of mac and cheese. The boy had to keep making me repeat my order...about 4 times. All I wanted was french onion soup and a sandwich, AND a cup of mac and cheese. Got my meal and all the way home before I realized they didn't include or even charge me for the mac and cheese- what I was looking forward to the most! The French Onion soup had no cheese on it whatsoever and made me sick later. Disappointed.

Meh. Way overpriced for food that's only ok and bread that is pretty much sub-par. I have had so much better. And for FAR less moolah. :) It's set up like a generic cafeteria, but charges like a boutique coffee shop/bakery would. As far as coffee goes, save your money and get Starbucks across the street, or better yet, just go to the Coffee House just down the road across from the theater. Way better, and the owner is super nice and is actually from Italy, the birthplace of good espresso.

I usually go to STL Bread Co. in Fairview Heights, but I was in the Shiloh neighborhood so I figured I'd give this one a try. I ordered the Fontega Chicken sandwich w/ an apple to go. Despite the crazy long line and the typical Saturday crowd, they somehow breezed through everyone's orders and I received my food within five minutes of me being there. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised at how much differently my sandwich looked and tasted. The bread was perfectly grilled on top, the chicken was ridiculous juicy with thicker cuts than expected, and you can actually see and taste the tomatoes. Granted the price is a bit steep, I have a gift card and I would have spent about the same amount had I chosen to get Chinese take-out anyway. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because a small piece of the bottom corner of my bread was a little burnt. But honestly, the sandwich was soooo good. This place is worth giving it a shot.

I generally like Panera's but this location's service was pretty poor. Granted, we showed up at 9:45 on Friday evening, 15 minutes before closing time, when the staff was bound to be watching the clock but only one guy out of the whole crew seemed at all interested in helping us out. I'm accustomed to staff at Panera's (& STL Bread Co's?) being really helpful and going out of their way to substitute menu items. We struck out the night we went.

This review is not location-specific. It's more of this company overall. I've eaten numerous times at multiple locations, and always leave satisfied. Love the decor, ambience, and food with gourmet flair. My favorite overall restaurant for lunch food.

Friendly staff, quick service, good consistent food, and free wi-fi. Can't complain about that. This location gets really crowded at lunchtime because it's fairly close to Scott AFB. They do a good job of keeping things moving though. The parking isn't great, but it's in a huge shopping center, so you can park and walk if you have to. Not much else to say, SLBC/Panera is pretty much the same everywhere. As long as they keep making that iced green tea (that I am convinced must contain crack,) I'll keep going there to use their free wifi.
