I consider it a Mediterranean Chipotle. Great lunch spot, they are expanding and have a couple locations. They are always busy but the line moves quickly. It has variety so everyone will be able to find something they will like. Only issue is when they are low on meat it is cold and a little tough so is worth waiting for the fresh stuff.

Super clean super friendly staff. I went into the restaurant for my first time . My friends usually bring it back for me so I wasn't sure what to order. He walked me through the selections and my meal was fantastic ! I had the chicken bowl. The pickles, not something I would think would work are an awesome addition! The sliced potato fries dipped in the garlic sauce. Awesome. Highly recommend this healthy faster food alternative !

Good, fast, tasty food. Those are all words that come to mind when I think of Naf Naf. I ordered the Chicken shawarma in pita with just garlic sauce on it with a side of Naf fries. I was pleasantly surprised the "fries" are actually pretty good homemade potato chips. The pita was warm and the chicken was extremely juicy and perfectly seasoned. This is a great place to stop and get a bite to eat either for lunch or dinner with pretty decent pricing.

First time in this placeand it was great. The food was fresh and seasoned to perfection. omg the fries are great. This is my last day in Chicago. I wish we had something like this in Phoenix.

Funny the girl works there she don't listen just mixed everything up and messed I was saying excuse me.... Almost screaming but she not listen ...and the food is to little for the price .. Like they serving to the birds:)

Chipotle like experience, which I don't really mind especially for lunch hour but I feel like the servings are way too small for the price. Go two doors down. Amazing food and you get a ton!!

I just so happen to start eating hummus a few years ago (thanks to Costco samples lol) Not sure how this place stuck out to me as I hadn't seen or heard of anything about this place. I guess it was the name. I was actually heading to a different restaurant but was just undecided on what I wanted. (was originally at Longhorn but decided maybe steak and shake.) drove pass and walked in and notice the pitas. I honestly was probably going to walk out but they were still new at the time and the manger asked would I like to try the steak ...ok sure... and so starts how I fell in love ALL middle eastern cuisines will be 2nd place in my book. I've actually gone out my way to find other places as Naf Naf was my first foray into middle eastern cuisine. Yet by the end of my meal at these other restaurants. I'm thinking Naf Naf had better this or better that. If I'm not wrong this is their 5th location (at the time they have about 15 so it's blowing up) I also think this is the one they started testing out Steak Shawarma and using the "Chipotle-style" system. Which is funny cause I HATE Chipotle... go figure. This is considered naf naf "express" as the menu here is very limited. There aren't plates or variety like the naf naf grill in Naperville. Here it's bowl or pita. Although you get more in the bowl. I usually just get the steak in pita (with two falafel on the side) I'm not a big veggie person but I love the chopped salad, purple cabbage and sumac onion. They are really flavorful and tasty you can see the seasoning on the items so it's not just bland chopped salad/vegetables. the S'Khug sauce (green/spicy) makes me want to find a house within a 1 mile driving distance from naf naf. Maybe I can sell one of my kidney's on the black market if they start to franchise.

Excellent service. The workers are really nice! The soup was a bit bland for my taste but the place has the best bread. I had their falafel as well which was really good. Overall a nice place if you are looking for quick meal.

I have found this to be one of the most consistently priced and quality Mediterranean food around. The only issue is they don't have a larger selection and it seems the shawarma is dried out when it sits due awhile.

This place is the worst in customer service, they suck big tiiiiiime, I just get confused every time I go there, I don't know why every time I go there, It seems to get worse and worse, from the greeter all the way to the cashier , all agreed on one attitude is I don't give a fuck kinda attitude.if you ask about the ingredients they give you that look, like wtf look. If you ask for extra salad or anything is a $1:50 extra, and there's no communication between the stuff I got my order mixed several times, I mean if I was the owner of this place, I would fire the whole fucking crew and get a well trained and friendly stuff that keeps my name clean especially that Naf Naf is a new franchise. Ps: here's a tip for the owner; Go undercover and test your stuff, they're so fucking horrible & mean as hell.

Been coming here for a few months now and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and pretty healthy, though recently their portions have become much smaller. They use to stuff the pitas until they were overflowing but now they are hardly put any meat in them. For the same cost Chipotle is a much better value.

Here's a funny story about this place. I ordered a chicken shwarma sandwich and baklava for dessert. Never got a receipt. When my order rang, I went to go pick up my food. I noticed there was no baklava, so I asked them where I could pick it up. I was told it was on the counter, next to the cashier. So I go and grab my pre-packaged baklava to enjoy. Then the cashier accuses me of stealing the baklava and embarrasses me in front of the entire restaurant. He asks me for a receipt that I never received, so I obviously couldn't show him. Safe to say my appetite was gone at that point. I sat down to try and eat with my friends, but could barely finish. It's probably the worst feeling to eat while being accused of stealing something you paid for, and being embarrassed for it. I'm never going to this restaurant or it's chains ever again.

I love me some Naf Naf. Unfortunately, the closest location to my house is this one in Rosemont, which isn't conveniently close for me. But when the Naf Naf craving calls, I must pick up. I have been to this location a few times now and my food has been delicious every time. I usually go with a hummus spread bowl (rather than with salad or rice). I top it with falafel, all the veggies, & tahini. Yum! I could seriously lick the bowl clean. Served with the bowl is their perfectly soft pita bread, that leaves me debating whether or not to buy a bag to bring home every time. Their pita bread is the best. The staff is usually friendly. On our last visit, the girl that was working seemed to have an attitude about her. I mean I guess I'd be pissed too if someone had left a huge hickey on my neck to mark their territory. Take that tude up with him, not your customers. I can handle the 50 cents for extra falafel, but I don't like the fact that adding a scoop of baba ganoush to my bowl is $1.89 (at least that's what the girl told me on this last visit). Maybe 50 cents to 1 dollar would be more fair. They could also use some better drink options. Overall, I love getting food from Naf Naf Grill and plan to return. I just hope they open one even closer to home soon!

This is the fourth Naf Naf I have visited (Naperville Freedom, Aurora and Orland being the others). I notice that the newer Nafs have what I call the Chipotle factory set-up; they make the food in front of you. For some reason, I've never been a fan of that although if you are newer to Mediterranean food, it's a good intro. Either way, the most important aspect remains the food and service and, like all Naf Nafs, it exceeds in bunches. Definitely recommend the Chicken Shawarma and the in house pita remains to die for. Recommended for visitors of the area as well as locals!

I'm not sure if this is a first generation or second generation Naf Naf, but, MAN... If anyone from Naf Naf corporate is reading this, the Rosemont location is how ALL Naf Nafs should be. OK, so, backing up, I'm used to the way the locations in Naperville work which are much more restaurant style. You order off the menu, pay, get a vibrating pager, and go sit down and wait. At THIS Naf Naf, they make everything in front of you, Chipotle style. THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER. I love being able to ask for more hummus and... actually get more hummus, because they're making it in front of you. Also, the whole experience felt way faster, because you're watching everything happen. I love Naf Naf, and vastly prefer this format of the restaurant. Hopefully they switch the ones by my house over to the Chipotle-like format.

Up until recently I had only dined at the Skokie location, which I do enjoy.. but the Rosemont location is also great. It reminds me of the Chipotle version of a middle eastern restaurant. I was impressed with their rice at this location, also the tahini sauce was much better than Skokie. 4 stars.. because I reserve the 5th for authenticity ;)

I remember I visited Chicago last year during December and found out that my uncle's friend found this place on accident but it was no accident lol. At first he mentioned that the food was middle eastern or Mediterranean so we went to eat here after the mall and it was AMAZING. You can choose either from a pita or a bowl then add whatever you want on it. I always go for the bowl and they start by spreading humus around the bowl then off to the rest. Eating just feels like fireworks in my mouth. ohmygosh and the bread/ pita that comes with it reminds me of communion lol. They say that Naf Naf Grill is like a Chipotle but Naf Naf grill takes my vote. One of the best places I ever went to eat at hands down. I had to go there a second time before leaving back to California. I really wish they had one in here Back home in Cali. I'll be sure to come back here during my next visit to Chicago. God Bless!

  • David O.

Yes, I'm a moron for going back but there are very few choices in the area besides a lot of burgers and SANDWICHES LMAO. Yeah I'll pay $6 for something I can make at home for less than $2 with more meat! I digress. Service here remains abyssmal.

  • SoSunnychicago S.

This an assembly line method of service. Pick your base (pita, rice, lettuce), add your primary item (Chicken or steak shawarma, falafel), throw in some onions or cabbage, and then they add your sauce. The portions are nice, the food is always moist and fresh. Best thing is the fast service and plenty of seating, good parking. Try the catering for a change to the standard office cuisine.

I love this place! I used to work in Rosemont and whenever Friday rolled around we would get our corporate lunch. I always hoped we would decide on Naf Naf Grill. I usually always get the chicken shawarma in a pita, and I am never disappointed. The chicken is full of flavor and the pita is soft and fresh, which is the best part, no matter what you get, the pita is warm and fresh.

Middle Eastern fast food?? Yes, please! I had to try this place, it is across the street from a hotel in a strip mall. It was late and I was HUNGRY. I know it's a chain, but it was close and it sounded yummy. For anyone unfamiliar with the chain, think of it as a Middle Eastern "chipotle" style fast food; it's a small menu, but it's really good. I had a chicken shawarma bowl (with all kinds of yummy pickled goodies) and then splurged with an extra pita and hummus. The pita is soft and fluffy and I wish I had bought a bunch to take with me to snack on later! It was definitely a LOT of food but it was so good! The staff was pretty friendly and patient with me too (it took me a while to decide what I wanted).

I tried the rice bowl with chicken for the first time and loved it! A nice portion of food with warm, fresh pita bread made for a tasty, feel good lunch. I liked that I could customize the bowl with choice of sauces and veggies. I had 1/2 cuke/tomato and cabbage and did the spicy and tahini sauces. Yum! And that robotic slicer going at the Doner Kabab is fun to watch.

Best fast food style Mediterranean food I'd had in a long time. I don't like fast food to begin with but this was so good. I got the chicken shawarma hummus bowl. Comes with a fresh pita on the side. I got a side of lentil soup and it was so fresh you could taste the cardamom in it!

Drove by here quite a few times before I finally made the stop to check it out. This place was clean and busy when I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Chicken Shawrama bowl to eat there. This is basically Shawrama served over a salad with rice. They have some type of machine which shaves the meat mechanically. Well, I only thought this was OK. The problem is that the chicken is shaved into pieces that are way too small for me. Too small and too thin. The flavor of the dish was alright, but nothing that special. The garlic sauce that you can get with the meal. Wow! Super garlicky. I am OK with that but it may be too much for others. The best part of the meal was the pita that accompanied it. That was great. Overall score is a three. Cheers to all

Great food I especially love the steak PITA I also thought that the falafel was out of this world would definitely go back again. the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the lines tend to be very long but other than that great place

I really wanted to love this place! But unfortunately Mediterranean meets Chipotle is not a good mix, at least for me. My coworkers love this place and since I love Mediterranean food, I wanted to try it! I found that the menu was really limited, while trying to allow the customizations offered at places like subway or chipotle. I was looking forward to some kefta and shwarma. But ended up getting chicken in a pita. The pita itself was just okay and chicken is just chicken unless there is something to make it spectacular. My honest feeling is that this is not the type of food that can be turned into fast food while still being done well.

Good concept and food is fresh at lunch time like any other restaurant. I took away a star because the girl seemed like she was having a bad day and was taking it out on my friggin shawerma! Kus imik! Prices are good and you get your food fast though..... The place gets jammed fast and parking spaces get hard to find during lunch so hurry up n go there for your lunch! FHRITP!*

  • Amanda L.

Nice food. Reasonable price, clean environment. Some complaints: compare with their Naperville location, this location puts a bit too much salt in their lentil soup, also they don't have kufte. But in general, it's a nice lunch place.

I heard about Naf Naf Grill from my cousin who lives near Naperville, and he raved about it. When NNG opened up near work, I knew I had to try it out myself. I went online to familiarize myself with the "Rosemont" menu so I would look prepared (& hip) whenever I would go to order. I was surprised that the "Rosemont" menu did not have "kebabs" or other food items like their "Niles" location or other NNG locations. Hmmmmm, that does not sound fair. Anyway, I went to NNG for lunch today. I noticed their modern decor & their wall art with amusing or clever phrases. As I got in line to order, I was surprised on how fast it was moving. I decided to order the Steak shawarma in a bowl (over rice). I really wanted to try their Israeli salad, and to my surprise-- that's included. Of course, I had to order one Falafel (so I can try it out). The meal also came with a pita -- which they make 'fresh' on the premises. * Steak shawarma was good but I want to try the chicken shawarma next time * Their rice & salad were yummy * Their Falafel was lightly fried, it did not taste heavy with oil. It was really delicious by itself & did not need a dipping sauce. I also like that it had a kick to it. * Now, how can I explain how AMAZING their Pita Bread was? It was so soft & fluffy, it melted in your mouth. I've got to experience their Pita bread with Hummus or Baba Ghanoush. Next time, I will have to get a bag of their Pita bread to go!!! I actually met the owner, Sahar, who was walking through the dining area & asking customers how their meals were & their experience. I asked him what Naf Naf means & he told me. Clever name with a clever approach to serving Israeli /Middle Eastern food. But I want the "Rosemont" menu to resemble the "Niles" location--- Please!!!!

Great food! I was surprised at the style when ordering (previous review mentions Chipotle and its spot on). I actually really enjoyed it! I like being able to customize my meal and it was delicious!

This place can be a little more beginner friendly, but over all this place was great. Naf Naf is a vegetarians dream, all the vegetables tasted very fresh, and the sauces/varies ingredients complimented each other well. I was most impressed with the pickles here, they are to die for. If I could change anything, I would ask the staff to be little more patient with first time customers.

This one is way better then the one in Skokie. Service is faster and the people are nice. Had the chicken shawarma and it was good. Tasted very fresh. I would come here more often but it's a drive from Skokie.

Good is great. Simple and flavorful. Great value for the food as well. The pitas are made fresh everyday and you can watch through a window as they make them. Similar concept to chipotle but Mediterranean.

You had me at Naf Naf. What does that mean mean, anyway? I think it means Rosemont is lucky lucky to have yet another great dining option. Lucky lucky! After Iron Man 3 at Muvico, we brought some friends here since we had been looking forward to its opening as it's nearby my husband's job. Like other NNGs, it's got a very light, open and casual floor plan. The staff staff at Naf Naf was very friendly and helpful as I explained that some of our guests had never been...and 2 were kids that were there under duress. ;) I was surprised that this menu was much smaller than the usual full menu we've experienced at other locations. It consisted of only chicken shawarma and steak, falafel, Israeli salad, rice, fries (chips), and toppings of sauces, cabbage, pickles and onion- and fresh pita, of course. All really good, just a much more streamlined version of what we are used to from the Niles location. No kebabs, kifta, schnitzel, baba ghanoush or tabbouleh salad, if you are looking for those. I'm happy to report that the kids tried something new and each found items they liked. Yay yay for peace, especially since I was sorta bossy pants in making them go. During our meal, an employee began handing out free half-dozen bags of their fresh pita bread. Nice touch! I had specifically not ordered this in an effort to avoid temptation. Lol But it was so kind, and 3 bags for 5 people was generous! Thanks, NNG! So, when we decided to order an extra meal to-go for lunches the next day (to use with our newly acquired pita), I was shocked shocked when my husband returned back with only 2 thimbles full of the hot sauce I loved so much. I'd asked for 5 since I'd only had one (& they're tiny) and still had leftovers. He said, "he said, 'they are only allowed to give me 1', but then the guy looked around and sorta slid me a second one", like this was some sort of generous drug dealer- which for me, it kinda is! :) It wasn't a major deal, but just a little off-putting since we just bought a bunch of meals, and brought new customers to their doorstep. We would have happily paid paid for a larger side tub had they offered. At other locations, like Niles, they leave those sauces and pickles out for anyone to pick up, but they might have a much higher turnover- that place is always wall-to-wall packed. This location was practically empty on this Sunday, but they likely do the majority of their business at weekday lunches or after a United Center event. It would be a good idea for them to bump up their options as the limited menu was disappointing to those of us who frequent NNGs. But overall, a great experience and a welcome addition to Rosemont who hogs all the good restaurants (same to you, Naperville!), leaving the Gurnee area with so little. No, I'm not bitter bitter.

Whoa... way to expand Naf Naf! To think, just a year or so ago, you just had two locations. Now, I seem to see you popping up everywhere. Good for you. Well, to my surprise this Naf had a different ordering style.... a build your own pita or BOWL! This style immediately made me think of Chipotle. Anyway, another surprise was that there was only a limited selection of meat. Come on! Where's the chicken thigh love?! I ended up getting chicken shwarma pita and lental soup which both were consistent and tasty as its other locations. Again, a little thrown off by the menu and ordering style but I am still a fan.

Sooo I am a huge fan of Naf Naf and have been for a few years now. We usually eat at the Naperville location by World of Beer, which still has the original format. The new Naf Nafs, like this one, are set up more like a Chipotle. You get a sandwich or a bowl and you tell the guy behind the counter what you want in it. I came here with my parents and husband after getting picked up at the airport. I got a falafel rice bowl with onions, garlic sauce and hot sauce. I haven't seen the garlic sauce at our usual location and I was happily surprised to have it here because it's REALLY REALLY GOOD. My falafels were awesome as usual and we all split some hummus and pita. The pita was super fresh and delicious. I took a star off because they kept running out of food. I got the last rice and my husband was told it would be 17 minutes for a new batch, which was pretty lame. There was also a wait for some chicken shwarma. I think he also got fries which he had to wait for and overall things were disorganized and everyone was confused by the new format. The food is as good as usual but I am still partial to the original Naf Naf set-up.

I feel like I'm channeling Breaking Bad's Huell when reviewing Naf Naf. "Joanna, did you like your dinner from Naf Naf?" "Reasonably" I liked that I had a "healthier" option near my hotel. The menu is very limited - falafel, chicken shwarma, beef shwarma and sides like soup or hummus. My chicken shwarma was sliced fresh with a cool automatic slicer and was pretty tasty but a bit oily. It was a decent sized portion for $8-ish. I also sprang for a side of hummus which comes with pita - they have lots of propaganda up about how it's the "best pita ever made" and it seems like a lot of folks here like it. To me it was "meh" - fresh and warm, but wayyyyyy too doughy. The guy who made my meal was nice but seemed super stoned - I had to remind him that my order was "chicken shwarma" like 3 times. Considering the limited menu and the fact that no one else was in there it was a little odd. For fast food Middle Eastern, NNG wasn't bad. I wouldn't rush to return, but I wouldn't avoid it either.

LORD ALLAH HAS BLESSED AND DELIVERED ME. Anyone who has a problem with all people who look like me since we have been in Iraq & Afghanistan for years killing people, try the naf naf grill and they'd be all, damn, I am a fan of this element of their culture. Maybe they wouldn't say it like that, but this is some of the best damn Mediterranean food ever. The franchise is great, I would love to open one on my own, their methodolgy is very smart, similar to Chipotle, its called "fast casual" cuz you know, at subway you take your time and really draw it out. Come here as everything on the menu is great. This one in particular runs like a well oiled garbage man sledding down a hill of bacon grease. Even the weirdo in front of me, who made sure to make his order as confusing as possible for the poor minimum wage guy shoveling tabbouleh into the bowls, got his order correct. Love.

Holy Portions!!!! This place hooks it up with the hummus bowl. I had the chicken shawarma hummus bowl and it was delicious. I enjoy the fact that they make it in front of you so your able to customize your dish to your liken. Falafel was light and crispy as well. For a chain this place does not disappoint.

I like the fresh-baked pita, not-too-greasy falafel, consistent service, and cleanliness of this Naf Naf location. Their limited menu, however, makes me pine for the Niles location. Like all Naf Naf restaurants, this one includes many earth-friendly elements in its design and operations. Many items are vegan and clearly marked as such on the menu. I am interested to see what will happen with such a similar restaurant literally around the corner. The rival has a much larger menu, but it lacks consistency. Naf Naf, on the other hand, has always given me the same positive experiences and flavors on each visit. Note to parents: high chairs are a hot commodity during peak hours. There is not a designated child menu, but with individual falafels and various sides priced reasonably, it is very easy to make a meal for your little one. They also don't seem to care if you bring in a little dish of berries or other small meal supplement for very young children, whereas I have spotted signs outlining strict rules forbidding outside food and drink at other restaurants. I have also seen whole families drinking from their own nalgene bottles, and the staff has never said a word. This is a good option if you do not want to give your child soda and don't want to create more waste by using a paper cup for fountain water at Naf Naf.

First time to eat here.. I became a fan.. their bread for pockets are made fresh so its soft and tastes good. I chose the bowl though, but they still gave me that fresh bread like the pocket bread.. my friend chose the pocket.. their fries are like fresh potato chips.. crispy! Lentil soup are tasty too but a bit salty for me.. thats fine though, I put a bit of water to make it even... so blessing in disguise that the steak n shake place was packed, otherwise we may not be able to discover this establishment.. im hoping though that the other naf naf grill in touhy by fresh farms is like this one... hmmm.. looking forward to go and eat there again..

Gteat food and service. they have your basic selection of mid east food but my only thing that it couldve had more than the 5 basic selections. but that's just me cuz I'm a huge fan of the food but for the local area its in its perfect for students and family to go.

Alright Naf Naf.. you are sucking me more and more in. I keep getting my office to order here at work because its really good and close! The food is ready at my pick up time and its always so yummy! I still am holding back that last star because of the prices but, if you haven't tried this place, just go! lol You wont regret it!

I would have to give Naf Naf a disappointing 3 stars. (Three stars because the food was at least decent otherwise it would have gotten a two stars). Originally, I had visited the Naperville location where I was blown away by their large menu and delicious food. Naturally, I was elated to find out a Naf Naf was going to be located closer to my home; however, I was sorely disappointed. Very very limited menu, service was terrible, and food was mediocre. My boyfriend and I had to repeat our very simple order at least three times so the gentlemen wouldn't mess it up-and he still forgot the extra pita. I was expecting so much more from this experience. I doubt I will be returning unless I have to choose between this Naf Naf location and McDonalds.

The fluffy fresh baked pita is like nothing I have ever experienced at any other falafel restaurant. Possibly the BEST falafel sandwich I have ever had! Fresh baked pita sliced open, falafel, hummus and a choice of toppings. Cucumber slaw, cabbage slaw, onion/cilantro and a bunch of sauces including tahini. I didn't want to eat the whole thing, but I did. To top it off, such friendly service and a clean restaurant! Priced right too. I think my falafel pita was $5.99.

Naf Naf Grill! A welcome addition to the O'Hare/Rosemont area. Located by Buona, Racconto and Jimmy Johns. They have a decent size dining area and very nice staff. Food is so good and not expensive.

This is the 3rd time I have been here. The food is really fresh. I would have given it 5 stars but there were a few pieces of meat in the steak shawarma that were hard and chewy which I have not experienced in the past 2 visits. The falafel is also nice and moist with a good flavor. If you are looking for something out of the norm I would recommend giving them a try.

I love NafNaf as I've already reviewed the one in niles a couple times. We came to this one because it's a middle for husbands work and mine. New and sparky: bowls!! Yum either rice or salad. Brings a new twist and excitement to my lunch. Also, the set up is like a chipotle where you can choose what goes on your bowl or pita sandwich!!! Genius!! Different: no plates to share. Interesting but not a loss for me Missing: the pita quality was off. One of my most favorite favorite favorite things about NafNaf is the pita. At my niles location the pitas are so fluffy and warm and delicious. Today, it just wasn't right. It didn't have it's usual chewy, warm, or soft quality. Hence the missing star. Otherwise the food was delish as always. Get your pita right man!!! And I'll give back the star!

I have been a Pita Inn fan for some time now. But I have always taken bite after bite and thought about how it could be better... or like something else. Naf Naf is that "something else". Let's start with the light pillowy moist otherworldly pita... just go for the pita. Really. It will reset your idea of what pita should be in taste and texture. Then move on to the Chicken and Steak Shawarma - above average in taste and spice. Again, it tastes how you want it to taste. But what makes it all so above average is the different toppings and sauces. I look forward to trying the Niles location as it has an larger selection.

Went to Naf Naf the other night for the first time and the guy behind the counter was awesome, he gave out free samples of everything and then threw in extra falafels. However, Overall the food was limited, there was only chicken and beef shawarma but no kebabs as advertised online. The cashier was a bit clueless and charged us for two fries when we had asked only for one. Now when it comes time to eating, the pita was delicious as was the garlic sauce, but the rice and steak shawarma were quite bland. Don't be afraid to season!

The only reason Naf Naf gets two stars instead of one is because the baklava here is quite good--a sublime balance of honey, not too much, not too little. Very tasty and I would recommend trying that if you are determined to go here. HOWEVER...be ye warned that the economic principle of caveat emptor applies here for the following reasons: Minus one star for the limited menu choices. Why? Because without even the slightest attempt at feigning originality they have largely copied Chipotle's business model both in terms of interior atmosphere/decor and menu yet, unfortunately for Naf Naf, it simply does not work. Conversely, the most obvious difference imo is that Chipotle produces an excellent product that they can be proud of and Naf Naf...well, not so much. Perhaps in the future I could raise their rating in this aspect if only they offered their customers more menu options, however that is simply not yet the case. An expanded menu is paramount to their future success. That being said, an expanded menu has to have good food, too (obviously). What worked for Chipotle does not work at Naf Naf. Minus one star for the below average food quality itself. I have eaten Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine many times, and absolutely LOVE it. What I was able to take away from my experience at Naf Naf was that the overall quality of the bland rice and steak shawarma was forgettable in the sense that there is nothing about the food here (with the exception of the baklava) that distinguishes itself in any meaningful way from its stiff competition here in Chicagoland. I hereby propose that anybody who knows and eats authentic Mediterranean cuisine would likely be disappointed and/or mortified by the retail, fast foodesque nature and substandard quality of food at Naf Naf. Minus one star for the price of the food. Pita Pita Inn in Palatine for example has decidedly better food, yet for similar or lower price with a bigger menu selection. I know places in Rosemont tend to be a little pricier than in Palatine, but there is no rational justification for me purchasing a steak shawarma meal for $13 and, when finished eating, thinking that I could have gotten the same or even better for as much 20-25% less elsewhere. So with all the stiff competition from excellent places such as Pita Pita and Reza's, my advice is don't bother with this establishment; go elsewhere and spend a similar amount of money or even slightly less for better food. Caveat emptor indeed.

I love this place so much! My favorite thing to order is the chicken shawarma. It is seriously so delicious. I recommend everyone that I talk to to come here and try their food because it is so tasty and different. The only thing I would fuss about is the rice, it's a little dry but still good. This location is also better than the one in skokie I believe because at this location you get to pick your ingredients and the skokie location just makes it for you.

I'm a huge fan of Naf Naf. They are always clean, easy choice for lunch because it's a limited menu of items done very well!!

This is the chipotle of the arab world. Its greasy, fast & filling. I like it on days I'm craving shwarma but don't feel like driving to the city. For shwarma its a bit on the pricey side tho in my humble opinion. A shwarma sandwich should be around $5 not $10.

I love Mediterranean. But I don't love Naf Naf. First - Where's the rest of the menu? Your choices are vastly limited. Second - Why is my dine-in order in to-go containers? A top pet-peeve of mine. Third - This certainly doesn't look like $12 worth of food. I get how much? for how much??? Fourth - Doesn't taste like $12 worth of food, either. All pre-prep'd well before lunch service. Nothing is made to order. The hummus is even in plastic to-go containers in a refrigerator across from the cash register. Final verdict? I feel like I was the victim of unarmed robbery. Do yourself a favor, and go next door to Cibo Racconto for fresh, made to order, and fairly priced Italian. You're welcome.

A big disappointment because of limited menu with no warning. We're big fans of the Naf Naf Grill chain - their original concept restaurants are fantastic places to get a healthier fast lunch option. This location, however, has a much smaller menu, serving only shawarma and falafel, none of the kebobs or other offerings at every other location. That was a disappointment - and, more importantly, a surprise; nothing really cued us from the outside that this was any different than any other of their locations.

I am a huge fan of Naf Naf. Not so much of this location. Pitas were cold, limited menu. I love the chicken thigh plate but not only was the dish not available, but they had some dry shaved chicken instead. I thought the purpose of a chain is consistency? Glad I tried a different location first because otherwise I wouldn't be back.

Tasty but not something I'd be able to eat daily. Avoid the Rosemont lunch rushes as well.

The food is some of the best mediterranean food I've ever had. The pitas are always amazingly fresh, as well as all the ingredients. Love this place, I drive all the way from elgin to get my fill.

I had not ever heard of this restaurant but now due to food quality suspect it is a chain. The pita was fresh baked and 5 star worthy. I had the lentil soup which had thickened likely from spending all day in a warming pot. I prefer my soups on the soupy side....also too much salt. The hummus was ok but did not taste like it was made in house. The falafel was freshly fried but tasted exactly like the frozen variety sold at Costco. The beef scawarma was dry and had been sitting in the warming tray a long time. Both the mixed green slaw and the red slaw i chose as condiments were good. The counter style service was good too.

Love Naf Naf! The food is great and always quick! I would rate this a five if they had larger portions. The portions are fairly small compared to other mediterranean restaurants!

Interesting concept. It's a great lunch spot with a ton of seating. Think of chipotle, but with shawarmas instead. I got the rice steak bowl with everything except pickles. Steak is a little dry but once you have the veggies and sauce it comes together nicely. The bowl is nicely priced and comes with a pita bread on the side. I ordered the Hummus + pita and it is definitely not worth 2.99 extra, that's half a bowl!! I really enjoy their hot sauce but they are SO stingy.. I had to ask for more 3 times. I even offered to pay them for it if they were not allowed to give it to me. This is a quick alternative for shawarmas, but is nowhere near as good as the Mediterranean restaurants.

If there was a six star option, Naf Naf Grill would get all six. Pita is delicious and fresh (we always buy extra to take home), the beef and chicken shwarma are the perfect blend of crisp and tender. The seasonings are delicious, the rice bowl is generously portioned, the vegetable toppings (try the red cabbage!) are delicious and fresh, and the sauces.... oh, the sauces! The garlic and the tahini are unbelievably good. The only drawback is that the distance between you and the person taking the order and preparing the food is a little wide, and it can be hard to hear and communicate well. (But the one time they made an error, it was even better than what I had thought I had ordered! They offered to make good on it, but there was no need.) Do note that not every Naf Naf has the same menu! This location and Mount Prospect have a delicious and varied menu; Aurora... well, not worth the trip IMHO. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. YUM!

Today swung by shortly after opening and got two chicken and beef shawarma. The khubz (bread) was fluffy, the meats uniformly shaved off the cone, the rest of it was left up to me, so I opted for a schmear of hummus and the sumac-sprinkled raw onion slices. This made for superior eating. Well done, lads.

I like this place, but it's not as good as the Niles location. The menu is more limited and they customize your order Chipotle-style, which I don't actually care for.

  • Lawrence Y.

This was a nice addition to the shopping mall corner, and a nice option for lunch (Think Chipotle style). I usually get the steak shawarma in a pita (though I see their online menu has steak kabob - but I've never seen this at this location unless I am overlooking something). Anyway, it's always a LITTLE salty for me, but otherwise a good solid lunch. The fries (fresh potato chips) are a favorite for me.

Best Middle Eastern fast food in town. Skip the traditional fast food places and try Naf Naf. The on-line ordering option is the best, order and pay online - walkin, sign receipt and walk out. Delicious pita bread and generous portions, you can customize your order. Try Naf Naf today!

I've only been to the Naperville location prior to visiting the Rosemont location. I was surprised & disappointed with this location. It was more of an "express" location, with a very limited menu. Took the family for dinner, expecting to get the full experience. We were the only customers. I'm sure they were probably made that day, but no one was working the pita oven and our pitas clearly came out of some sort of warmer, in a little paper bag. Got a little plastic dish of rice with a choice of steak of chicken schwarmas, with salad toppings. Got a plastic tub filled with hummus out of the drink cooler. and falafel, not freshly fried. Maybe the lunch rush has a quicker turnover of food, but the dinner experience here was not up to par. Don't get me wrong, the food was tasty, but knowing the full potential of the Naf, I won't be making the effort to get to this location again. I will go to the Naperville location to renew my faith in the Naf.

Decided to try this place after passing by a few times and was definitely impressed. Ordered 2 falafel sandwiches, hummus, and an order of fries. We got our sandwiches first and I was momentarily confused because the fries were taking longer than expected. When we got them, the man politely explained that he felt like the guy who had originally made our fries had not given us enough so he added more to our order and gave three free pieces of falafel to make up for it. The falafel and pita were very fresh and addictive like advertised. I will definitely be returning here, the staff is very welcoming and generous.

I've been to the Niles location several times, and Naf Naf was a great introduction to Mediterranean cuisine for me, but this location should be called Naf Grill, since it's basically half the chain it purports to be. The menu is much more limited here - as mentioned earlier, there is no chicken breast vs. chicken thigh option - just chicken - which was bland and dry. I was given one pita vs. the customary two. And all my food was cold within FIVE minutes. Two stars is taken off for that, and the other two for corporate not ensuring consistency among their locations. Seriously, avoid this location.

Naf Naf - i keep calling you yum yum. That green hot sauce is so ridiculous. So so delicious...dare I say your falafels are better than pita inn's...hurts me a little(cause thats what i grew up on) but I might have to say it is. Only thing though is you are a bit pricey- a bowl with a side of rice and a bottle of water came out to $14.50. - a tad pricey for lunch considering there are so many little fast food spots near you...but man I think it's so worth it. If it were a little more affordable, I might be there twice a day (at least some days).

I'm a huge fan of Naf Naf Grill...Since the first time I tried it at the Orland Park location, I've been hooked. The food is so fresh and delicious. They bake pita in-house all day long and it's always soft, warm, fresh, and delicious. I've only had the falafel (pita and salad bowl) but the falafel is by far the best I've had in Chicago. Lots of veggie choices, tahini, hot, and garlic sauces are tasty. Try them out!

Delicious pita. I had the steak shwarma sandwich. It was yummy with salad and tehini. Wife had falafel which was delicious. Next time ill try chicken shwarma. The restaurant is very clean and service is friendly and fast. Looking forward to coming back!

It's Naf Naf, and Naf Naf is good. I've only been to the Warrenville location, and this one seems like "express" in comparison. As in there are only like three menu items; Shawarma, Falafel, and lentil soup. The first two items can be put in a pita, over rice, or in a salad. The falafel also seems different from Warrenville, but overall the taste is still good. i wonder if this was their merciful way of opening and not killing the mediterranean place around the corner.

  • Kevin F.

I really like Mediterranean food and Naf Naf did not disappoint at all. I was surprised, and happy, with how fresh everything was on both of my trips here. The pitas are extremely fresh and so was the falafel. A lot of places I've been have falafel that is somewhat dried out, but not here. Will definitely be back and look forward to trying their Schwarma options.

Tried this place out even though it go alright reviews. First thing, its expensive for what it is. Paid 10 bucks and got the chicken schwarma bowl. There was not enough meat for 10 bucks and the meat did not have any flavor to it. The only reason to come back to this is that it is the only falafel place anywhere around Rosemont.

On a recent visit, a Naf Naf poster beckoned me to get some "shawarma for my momma," to which I replied: what kind? Do I get her the familiar, momma-approved chicken shawarma, or do I opt for the exciting new steak shawarma? Momma already loves Naf Naf's chicken shawarma, teeming with delicious and distinctive spices and served in a piping hot pita. It's a sure winner, especially when paired with fresh vegetables and those highly addictive fries. Then again, who doesn't like a nice steak, especially one so tall, dark, and handsome as the one perched behind Naf Naf's counter. It's like choosing between a classic Mercedes or a 2013 Lamborghini. As for me, I decide to toss the keys to the Mercedes to Momma and take the Lambroghini for a test drive, and boy ain't she a beauty! The steak is thin and bursting with new and delectable flavors. It pairs nicely with garlic sauce, and a dab of hot sauce gives it a pedal-to-the-metal wow factor. Per usual, Momma loves her classic chicken shawarma sandwich, but after taking my steak shawarma for a test drive she vows to branch out next time. As for me, next time I will take my old friends the falafels out for a spin. I guess those would be the Smart Car of Naf Naf - small, round, delicious and nutritious. As always, a fantastic experience at the Naf Naf Grand Prix. 5 stars!

I was so looking fwd to eating at this place! After reading the reviews, I was so excited and couldn't wait till I got here....well, the first thing that comes to mind is a middle eastern, fast food like chipotle. Exactly what it is! No menus, very limited selection of either falafel, steak or chicken shawarma and you can get it in a pita, a salad bowl or a rice bowl? Ok...that's cool?! Convenient. I got the salad bowl. Hummus on the side and I didn't care much for the pita bread (although don't get me wrong they were fresh, hot out of the oven and very pillowly like)... The one thing that is really out of control with nafnaf are their falafel (.50cents per piece!)....seriously prob some of the best I've ever had!! (Really the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of less) I'd only be back for the falafel honestly...oh and the lentil soup is ok too...not bad just reminds me of fast food middle eastern and I'm just not used to that!

  • Brian S.

Agree with another poster. The menu is very basic like a Chipotle. The food is fresh and the falafel is great. The shaved chicken is okay but it is quite tough. The price is a little steep for lunch, about $7.70 without a drink, $9.50 with a drink, and $12 if you want a side item like chips. All in all, pretty good and riding the HOT counter-casual and Mediterranean trends.
