Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

We stopped in last night and were disappointed right away. We walked in to people talking who couldn't stop to greet us. They've changed the menu and are no longer serving some things which were staples of the old. They stopped carrying Guinness and didn't replace it with another stout. The appetizer we ordered was small for the new increase in price. We ended up leaving and having dinner somewhere else. As we left we informed the manager we wouldn't be returning which is sad since this was a good close restaurant to us.

Two stars and they are both for the waitress that we had, cuz she was amazing... Ok I know this is a chain restaurant, but come on now EVERYTHING has to be fried? When the warm pretzels came out they were swimming in oil! there was no mention of that on the menu... The chicken salad was meh, the chicken tasted like wet dog.. Hubby got the burger well let's just say that was dripping with grease too... I suggest to Friday's they revamp their menu, have a few dishes you are good at that staff can cook, THAT DOESNT INVOLVE FRYING EVERY THING...

Drinks, dessert and service were good. Entrees weren't worth the price. Worst thing.. the place was filthy. Our booth had grime and splatter all over the side wall and the lamp was dusty and gross. Things were sticky. Pretty sure they can't be bothered to do anything more than wipe down the table top. Ended up with bronchitis shortly after our visit. Coincidence?

Our waitress was friendly but a little scatter brain. She brought wrong food out, gave wrong tickets, was not good to refill drinks. Did not bring out enough napkins when asked she said she will bring right them out but apparently forgot on her way to get them, we had to remind her again. Our lunch trip with corporate members spread into a 2.5 hr. Lunch...not pleasant @ all.

I live a long ways from this restaurant in a rural area that really doesn't offer anything along the lines of good food. Whenever I get to Rockford I try to stop at TGI Friday's. To date I haven't received a bad meal. The service has always been great. I tend to bring people with me and suggest this location to others now that I have had so many positive experiences. The one time I had a minor issue the manager took care of it immediately and everything was perfect from then on. I would HIGHLY suggest going here if you want good food and service!

Went with a group of friends and the service was terrible. Waited too long for our food and the food wasn't even that good. Atmosphere of the restaurant is very dim and sad feeling. The employees are trying way too hard to be happy there. Another thing, our server said that they can't talk about their pick 2 for 10 unless it's being brought up by the customer. sneaky marketing but what if the customers don't know about the deal, the quality of the food doesn't go with the prices.

Good place for lunch. Not too busy and the staff is attentive. Love the Jack Daniels sauce. I wonder if it would go well on a DQ sundae? Instead of hot fudge I could drizzle it with the sweet and yummy Jack Daniels sauce.

The food, when prepared right, is good. I've been there three times and either my party or myself has had major problems. One time I didn't get my meal until everyone was done, the next the food was underprepared, and the last there was hair in my friend's mashed potatoes. Moral of the story: not going back. After I stopped giving this place opportunities, my friend received food poisoning with his $12.99 entree. Whether I'm unlucky or not, I will avoid this chain and location.

We called around forever trying to find a place that was actually open on Christmas Day for dinner (aside from the usual Chinese options). The family was coming in from out of town, and they wanted to eat out. The service was phenomenal, and the menu had something for everyone...one on a diet, one a vegetarian, one gluten-free, etc. Kudos!

My bf and I were out for a date night. We had never been to the tgi Fridays in Rockford but we love tgi Fridays- we quickly found out the Rockford location is not for us. We sat in the bar and waited five minutes for someone to come help us even though the bartender was right there. When someone did help us it was the manager not the bartender. We received our drinks and ordered our apps. I asked whether the lobster was rock or Maine bc it's a big difference in taste and flavor; she didn't know but I had her go find out. As I'm waiting for my answer I hear her ask and her boss who laughs and says something like I don't know just tell them it's Maine! We were shocked how he said that right in front of us. While we waited for our apps I was watching the bartender and our server continue to wash dishes, the bar, etc. while making drinks and bringing ppl they're food without ever washing her hands. It was gross and unsanitary so we left. I'm a server and I wash my hands raw rather than mess with people's health!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
